I will also be developing my monoprint technique using the briefs I have chosen because I want to explore the process more and strengthen my skills. I will also look more into book binding because I want my briefs to have a high quality finish. I also will look into workshops and lesson planning to further my interest in educational routes. Deadline March? One A Week Rationale: Use monoprint to draw an overheard conversation once a week, concluding with a book Brief 2: Deadline March Travelling Man Rationale:
Create an A2 poster within the theme of fan art that sits within the chosen colour palette Extend fan art brief for personal work, create 4 more A2 posters using the same colour palette in order to conclude with a set of 5 editioned prints. Brief 3: Deadline 7th March To Kill a Mockingbird Rationale: Create a new cover for TKAMB that is from a fresh perspective to encourage younger generations to read it, including all of the merchandise to go alongside it with promotional material etc. Brief 4: Deadline March Collaborative Rationale: The aim of this project is to create a campaign to promote the idea of art for all and raise awareness in regards to the recent cuts to the arts, with particular focus on students around the age of 18 years old, up to adults. Both of which art can be used a stress reliever or even just as a hobby away from general life Brief 5: Deadline February 24th
Out of Order Rationale: Think: distort, disrupt, glitch. Consider type / sequence / narrative You can interpret this any way that you want, but don’t take it too literally! We want to show off everyone’s creativity and their practice, but keep a feeling of consistency running across all of our work. Submit a piece of work in response to the theme. This will be exhibited and sold in Colours May Vary from Monday 6th March. I will be creating a set of 5 of these but only exhibiting 1 for CMV in order to challenge myself and provide more work for my portfolio.
