Kimberly Strong, PhD, a faculty investigator at HudsonAlpha, will open the program with a presentation of the Information is Power program. The Information is Power initiative, a collaboration between HudsonAlpha and Kailos Genetics, offers free and reduced cost breast and ovarian cancer genetic risk testing in the Huntsville and Madison County area.
Sara Cooper, PhD, a faculty investigator at HudsonAlpha, focuses on ovarian and pancreatic cancer research, among other subjects. Dr. Cooper's research has led to discoveries that could improve cancer diagnostics and therapies.
Jaimie Richards, a graduate student in the HudsonAlpha Ethics and Genomics Program led by Dr. Strong, will explain her communityengaged research on the Information is Power initiative.
