growing up in Houston, Texas i never heard or thought about logging. but after moving to Idaho several things became part of my daily vocabulary for whatever reason. logging is one. i spent much time researching the history of logging in the Pacific NW. then i began to paint. and i painted for weeks on end until the 70 ft. continuous story painting was completed. it is a story about my neighbors ' occupation and their fathers and their fathers and their neighbors' fathers and so on and so on. this is a part of Pacific NW history. you can learn a little about it without reading a word. just look at pictures. it might not be as boring as you think.
