Turkish Airlines will launch a direct flight service to San Francisco international Airport on April 13, 2015, with flights operating five days per week from Istanbul using a Boeing 777 aircraft. The flag carrier of Turkey will increase service to daily flights on May 11, 2015. “I am pleased to welcome Turkish Airlines to San Francisco – the Innovation Capital of the World,” said San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee. “This new service unites San Francisco with the Crossroads of the World, Istanbul. I fully expect this flight to better connect our diverse City to the rest of the world and be a great success.”

The San Francisco International Airport (SFO) is proud to welcome Turkish Airlines’ nonstop service between Istanbul and San Francisco on April 13, 2015. Turkish Airlines will begin service with five flights per week, then increase frequency to daily service on May 11, 2015. The #1-ranked San Francisco has an ability to attract high-tech companies and huge amounts of venture capital which propelled job growth in San Francisco’s high-tech sector by almost 20 percent. In 2013, the average annual wage for high-tech workers in Silicon Valley was $195,815, according to the latest figures released in August 2014. The average salary is expected to exceed over $200,000 in 2015.
