Shirdi Aarti Timings Remain the Same Throughout the Year Considering the ever growing number of pilgrims reaching Shirdi every year, it is important to take note of the shirdi aarti timings. Not only it helps you to plan your travel itinerary, it also make it easier for the temple administration to manage the upkeep of the temple. Read the points given below to know more about the temple program. Bhupali: The day begins with Bhupali at 4:15 am. Devotees start lining up outside the temple gates even two hours before that. Kakad Aarti: Saibaba’s Aarti begins at 4:30 am. The temple priests assemble in front of Baba and offer prayers. Holy Bath: At 5:00 AM, Saibaba is given holy bath by the priests in the temple. This is the time when devotees assemble outside the temple gates in huge number. Saibaba’s Darshan: At 6:00 AM, devotees are allowed to have Baba’s blessings. As a safety measure devotees are asked to make one line and keep moving. They are not allowed to carry any eatables inside the temple. Cameras are also prohibited. Abhishek: As devotees keep passing Saibaba taking his blessings, the temple priests request them to sit in the hall for some time and do Baba’s Abhiskek at 9 am. After the ceremony, the activities are resumed in the temple. Satyanarayan Pooja: The temple priests conduct prayers thrice daily. The first prayers are offered at 8 am. The prasad is distributed after the pooja is over. Each devotee is given four Ladoo. those who wish to take more prasad can buy it from the sweets shop inside the premises. The next pooja is held at 10:30 am. So those who have missed the first prayer can attend this one. The third and the final pooja is held at 1:30 pm. Mid-day Aarti: As the name says, mid-day Aarti takes place exactly at 12 noon. As the ceremony continues, devotees can continue the Darshan and participate in the Aarti as well. Sai Satcharitra Adhyan Reading: Everyday at 4:00 PM, the biography of Saibaba is read in the temple. Devotees can participate in the reading by sitting inside the premises. They can also buy books from the library inside the temple premises. Dhoop Aarti: By sunset, priests gather to perform the Dhoop Aarti. Those who have been waiting since morning can attend this ceremony and take Baba’s Blessings. Bhajan Kirtan: By 9:00 PM devotees and priests assemble in the hall and devotional songs are sung by all. This event is unique in the sense that many famous singers assemble from far off areas to participate voluntarily in Kirtan. Shej Aarti: It is the last event of the day and takes place at 10:30 pm. After Shej Aarti the temple is closed. Although devotees still line up outside the temple gates to wait for the next day, still temple administration also need time to prepare for the next day. Every Thursday Saibaba’s Palki starts from the Samadhi Mandir at 9:15 PM and goes to Dwarkamai. Devotees participate in this event with great enthusiasm.
