HARMAN Professional Solutions Announces Martin ELP LED Ellipsoid Fixtures New Martin ELP WW (Warm White) and ELP CL (Colour) offer superior optics and colour rendering, class-leading output and unparalleled ease-of-use HARMAN Professional Solutions, the global leader in audio, video, lighting and control systems, has announced new Martin ELP LED ellipsoid fixtures. Martin ELP fixtures are available in two versions: ELP WW (Warm White) offers industry-leading colour rendering and brightness, while ELP CL (Colour) delivers rich, saturated colours and class-leading output. ELP fixtures feature industry-first advances in lighting functionality, including the highly efficient gear-based Fine Focus adjustment knob, and the Fast Focus feature which allows the fixture to be focused without data flow. ELP also offers 16-bit dimming with four selectable curves and 26 colour presets that match industry-standard colour filters. ELP fixtures can be configured with Martin lens tubes in 19, 26, 36 and 50-degree beam angles as well as third-party lens tubes.
ELP fixtures offer exceptional flexibility and accept a wide variety of industry standard ellipsoidal accessories including standard sized Gobos holders, gobo rotators, effects wheels, existing lens tubes and many more. Featuring optic assemblies designed in Denmark by the team behind MAC Encore, ELP is designed to maximize efficiency and deliver a flat field of illumination for smoother blending and mixing between fixtures. The ELP WW delivers 7,000 lumens of output and an industry-leading 97 CRI at 3000K colour temperature, for the truest colour representation on any surface. The ELP CL fixture offers an impressive 6,900 lumens and a CRI of 85 in High Output mode, and 5,900 lumens and 90 CRI in High Quality mode, with a colour temperature of 6,000K(open white). Both models offer flicker-free operation for
consistent light output—on and off camera. ELP combines legendary Martin quality with a suite of next-generation features to deliver new levels of performance, functionality and ease-of-use. Innovative gear-driven Fine Focus adjustment allows for precise, nuanced control, and enables users to lock focus exactly where they want it, instantly. The innovative Fast Focus feature brings the fixture to full output for 60 seconds simply by holding the Enter button for five seconds, enabling users to focus the fixture during set up without data. Halation Colour correction removes atypical blue and brown halos when using Martin lens tubes. ELP fixtures also offer 16-bit dimming with four selectable curves. Additionally, tilt knobs are placed out of the way of framing shutters, to allow quick, easy position adjustments. Find out more at bit.ly/martin-elp

One Beam. 7 Segments. Martin’s new MAC Allure Profile combines several industry firsts, including efficient LED colour mixing, a pixelated LED beam, and P3-driven control There is nothing quite like the Martin MAC Allure Profile. This is the first fully-featured moving head to combine a proprietary, solid state RGBW additive colour mixing engine, a 7-segment pixelated beam and onboard P3 and DMX controllability that lets users swiftly alternate or mix between control protocols. The overall feature set further includes dimmer, strobe, colour mixing, gobos, iris, prism, zoom, focus, pan and tilt. “Until now, there hasn’t been a truly efficient way to integrate solid state (LED) colour mixing into profile fixtures,” said Markus Kluesener, HARMAN Professional Solutions Stage Lighting Product Manager. “We decided to address this need head on and asked our engineers to come up with a game changer. They came through with an all-new, proprietary, colour-mixing light engine that exceeded our expectations for efficiency.”
Another first, the MAC Allure Profile includes a pixelated beam divided into seven individually-controlled, full colour segments (pixels). This gives lighting designers new options for creativity and frees them to expand in directions they previously may have never considered. The MAC Allure Profile was also designed for extreme user-friendliness with a built-in FX engine for P3 and DMX controllability that lets users swiftly alternate or mix between control protocols. “As we’ve been talking to end users about the features they look for in this segment of fixtures, they can’t get over how much usability we were able to build into this fixture that we were also careful not to over engineer,” said Peter Skytte, HARMAN Professional Solutions Tour Lighting Manager. “The end result is a straight forward feature set that is not overloading the programmer with unnecessary parameters to deal with.”
The light & colour engine is divided into seven full colour pixels. Pixels can be focused on projection or in the beam for aerial effects.
On top of DMX, Art-Net and sACN, MAC Allure fixtures can be controlled by P3, allowing fixtures to deliver cohesive content that blends with video content or creative LED products, such as Martin’s VDO Face 5, Sceptron and VC families.

Blue Parrot invests in MAC Encore Performance and Wash Formed at the turn of the millennium, with the aim of providing lighting and production services to the theatre and events industry, Edinburgh-based Blue Parrot has enjoyed a long association with Martin lighting over the years. This has taken them from MAC 500 and 600 right through to today’s Auras and Vipers. As their own theatre work increased, with MD Jonnie Clough himself a theatre lighting designer in his own right, the love affair continued, and just over a year ago the company invested in 12 MAC Encore Performance WRM moving heads specifically for a Christmas show at the local Royal Lyceum Theatre. He says the timing of the latest acquisition, an initial batch of Martin MAC Encore Wash WRM, couldn’t have been better, and reflects their growing theatre production work. He added that it will be a natural replacement from the now obsolete Martin MAC TW1 (tungsten wash). “These will complement our existing stock of MAC Encore Performance WRM, further widening our stock of intelligent fixtures highly suited to the theatrical industry, whilst also being great for use on live events and TV,” Jonnie concludes..
