Andrew just heard the most exciting news. He was going to be a ring bearer at a wedding! Andrew would be the groom’s special helper on his wedding day. It was a very important job for Andrew.
On the day of the wedding Andrew would wear very grown-up clothes and shiny shoes and he would carry a pillow that held the bride and groom’s wedding rings. Andrew knew that he had a very important responsibility.
Andrew needed new clothes for the wedding. At the store, Andrew tried on bright white shirts with stiff collars and cuffs.
Next he put on a jacket that looked just like the groom’s! Andrew looked very handsome and very grown-up.
Then Andrew tried on a pair of shiny new shoes. The shoes were so shiny, Andrew could see his reflection on them.
The day before the wedding, there was a rehearsal. Andrew practiced walking down the aisle with the pillow that would hold the rings during the wedding ceremony. Everyone else in the wedding party practiced their parts too.
After the wedding rehearsal, everyone in the wedding party gathered for dinner. Andrew made new friends, and everyone told silly stories about the bride and groom.
On the day of the wedding, Andrew put on his new, fancy, grown-up clothes and his shiny shoes. Andrew looked very handsome. He was ready to go!
When the wedding began, everyone walked down the aisle just like they had practiced at the rehearsal. When it was Andrew’s turn, he walked down the aisle with wedding rings on top of the pillow.
Andrew felt very proud when the bride and groom exchanged the rings. Andrew knew they couldn’t have done it without him!
There was a big party after the wedding. The bride and groom danced to a romantic song. Andrew danced too! He jumped and twisted and turned to the music.
When the celebration was over, the groom thanked Andrew for being the best ever ring bearer on his best-ever day. Andrew was so happy. It had been his best-ever day too!
