We’re so excited to be back in glorious Melbourne for the fifth time, following hugely successful expos in the past four years. I couldn’t be more delighted to welcome you all.

We’ll have a showcase of over 150 product and service providers, offering families, caregivers and professionals the chance to discover and try out innovative solutions.

Our expo comes with interactive zones, including the Active, Arcade, Nature, VR and Movie Zones. And of course, there’s our Stage hosting awesome entertainment the Award-winning Team Dream, inclusive footy, BAM Arts all abilities dance and some amazing African drumming for kids – just enough fun without going over the top!

A massive shoutout to the dedicated Source Kids team for making this happen. And big thanks to our sponsors, exhibitors, volunteers and performers – your support is the backbone of this inclusive event.

CATERING

Light snacks and a selection of freshly prepared food is available for purchase during expo hours from the onsite Café, located at the rear of the exhibition hall. There are also many cafes and restaurants in and around South Wharf and Crown Casino Complex.

SENSORY HEADSET LOAN

Should you require the loan of a Sensory Headset these can be located at the hall entrance. Speak to one of our friendly Source Kids staff member at the Sensory Headset Loan counter, to assist.

PAYMENTS

Our event will be a cashless event and payments for products within the event can only be made via EFTPOS payments.

TOILETS / CHANGE FACILITIES

Accessible Change facilities – thanks to Aidacare, are located in the back left-hand corner of the exhibition hall (as marked on the floor plan, pages 16-17).

Stage

Get ready to be entertained!

Our line-up of fun on the Stage will get you moving, grooving, clapping and cheering. We’ll have inclusive footy, 1Club Golf, InMove performing arts and some amazing African drumming for kids and much more! Plus some of your favourite characters coming to join us. You won’t want to miss out. The Stage is at the back middle of the hall, and you can check out the full program of entertainment on pages 20-22.

Come and find out what your body can do in the Active Zone, where you’ll be able to test your balancing, climbing, and jumping skills with a fun soft-fall obstacle course. No matter if you’re 6 or 60, this is sure to be a good time! The Active Zone is located middle left of hall, where it will be available for play during all opening hours of the expo.

We have loads of fun, active and entertaining zones available through the expo – designed to make the event a great day out for all.

nature zone

Take in the tranquillity of our calming Nature Zone where there are some wonderous animals big & small hiding out for you to seek and find. Grab a magnifying glass and take an adventure along our forest wall to see how much wonderful wildlife you can find. The Nature Zone will be located on the left hand side of hall, and open both days of expo.

movie zone

We have some fun for everyone! Who’s ready to shoot some hoops & strike some goals. Head to the Arcade Zone on the right-hand side of the hall, where there are three interactive areas to choose from. Basketball, NBA Jam or Air Hockey - do them all in any order you like! The Arcade Zone will be the happening place, open both days of expo.

Put on some headphones, kick back on a bean bag and enjoy our Silent Movie Zone. It’s a great place to chill out and enjoy some down time before setting off again to explore the rest of the expo. The Movie Zone will be open on both event days and located at the back of the hall.

VR Zone

Come and try out the fun sport of Race Running!

A Race Runner is a custom built three-wheeled frame where the runner is fully supported by a saddle and leans against a chest support, propelling themselves forward by the feet (one or both), while using the hands and/or arms to steer. Dejay Medical will have Race Runners on display and for use during the event, located at the front right of the hall.

Sensory Headset Loan

Do you want to dive into the full expo experience without being overstimulated? We have your ‘ears’ covered! Speak to one of our friendly Source Kids staff members at the Sensory Headset Loan counter (front of hall entrance), where you can loan a headset for the duration of your stay. Please drop the headset back on your way out of the expo.

Immerse yourself into another world with our amazing VR Zone! Thanks to the technology of virtual reality, you will experience incredible adventures without having to go anywhere. Jump aboard our roller coaster and embark on a journey or beat saber your way to a top score, the choice is yours. Our VR Zone will be located at the Back left-hand side of the hall and will be open on both days of expo.

Stimulate and encourage your child’s natural love for the environment and all creatures, within our Animal Zone. Located centrally on the right-hand side of the hall, Animals on the Move will have a petting zoo for all to enjoy. Care and nurture the farm animals in this highly visual and hands-on space. Open from 11am – 3pm both days of expo.

Explore African Drumming for Kids, Schools and Wellness

Team Dream’s electrifying live show ‘Party Yeah!’ is an exciting and interactive show that will captivate young children and those young at heart. Come along and follow the band’s quest to find the perfect DJ in a vibrant atmosphere.

With tracks like “The Pop,” “I Feel Fine,” “Hello,” “Freeze,” “Wonderful Day,” and more, you will be treated to a delightful musical experience. The show is designed to be highly engaging, encouraging children to sing, dance, and “Get moving”.

So join the band on this magical journey and let the spirit of “Team Dream” ignite your imagination and enthusiasm.

FIGHTING CRIME WITH VICTORIA POLICE

Any budding police officers out there, Melbourne? Come and join the Victoria Police team who will talk to us about safe spaces, what to do in an emergency and how they keep us all protected. They may even show us how to use their radios and look for clues like a real detective!

Victoria Police will be on Stage between 10.30-11am both days of expo.

Winner of both the 2022 and 2023 What’s On 4 Kids Awards for ‘Best Kids Live Show’, Team Dream knows how to captivate and entertain.

1GOLF WITH REACH & BELONG

There is nothing quite like being out on the golf course, hitting a round with friends, and exercising without even knowing it! 1ClubGolf is all about embracing community inclusion and are set to putt their way onto our Stage. This program is presented by Reach & Belong who provides group day programs, after school and holiday programs with 1:1 support. Their programs are available for secondary school aged participants and up – all aimed to help participants live their lives to the fullest, have fun, and develop friendships and skills to support independent living.

YOU CAN PLAY FOOTYPRESENTED BY FIDA

Get involved with footy and have fun with some handball skills! FIDA provides a league for people with an intellectual impairment to play footy. The FIDA Club welcomes players and thrives to provide more than just footy – it’s social plus it provides fitness and educates players. That’s a winning goal right there. Come on over to the Stage for a play and to learn more.

DANCE ALONG WITH US - PRESENTED BY INMOVE PERFORMING ARTS

InMove Performing Arts is an inclusive community which supports the participation of people of all abilities through performance and the arts. They pride themselves in practicing and growing in the true definition of inclusion, where everyone is empowered and supported to participate. The team welcome anyone and everyone to come along to see some of the fabulous performer’s show you their outstanding talents, and then join in to have some fun dancing and learning together!

- WITH DANCE 4 ALL

Join in for a free demo session of the Dance 4 All “all-abilities” dance class. The session will include movement and music activities guaranteed to get everyone up and dancing. A visual schedule of all the activities will be available as will props to encourage movement and motor patterns.

Dance 4 All is a community that is safe, completely free from judgement and offers understanding and mutual support. A place where students and families are able to create connections within the local disability community and form positive relationships with likeminded people.

SAINTSPLAY ALL ABILITIES FOOTY

SaintsPlay – All Abilities Football Program is an inclusive, fun, footy program for children aged between 5 – 18 years of age with developmental challenges/autism, that enhances social connectivity and confidence in participants.

B.AMAZED BY BAM ARTS - AN INCLUSIVE AND INTERACTIVE DANCE SESSION

Come dance with us at BAM Arts Inc- it’ll B*AMazing! BAM Arts Inc runs performing and creative arts classes and social activities for people with a disability of all ages, in Melbourne’s southeast! The programmes are innovative, fun and focus on bringing together people with a similar interest to create, learn and perform together.

EXPLORE AFRICAN DRUMMING FOR KIDS, SCHOOLS AND WELLNESS

African Drumming is accessible regardless of age, gender, ethnicity and ability. Some of the benefits of African Drumming for wellness: A great way to burn off energy and stress in a creative way, providing a sense of participation and inclusion. Stimulates cognitive functions like perception, attention and memory. Great exercise for the mind and body too, and not just for psycho-motor coordination. African Drumming provides opportunity for children to express themselves beyond words, with non-verbal communication offering a new voice. Join us on a journey of West African musical culture with drumming, dancing and singing!
