Please call your radio station and request Ruthie’s Christmas song….”Who Is This Child”. This is a song that lyrics and music were written by Ruthie herself. http://www.reverbnation.com/.../22021373 -who-is-this-child

The trees are decorated, lights are strung, gifts are wrapped and it's that wonderful time of the year. The magical season of Christmas. But did you know that to some families Christmas is not so magical. Have you ever thought what the holidays maybe like for a person living in an abusive relationship. What about the children who witness the abuse. The holidays are special times. Time for family and friends, shopping and looking for that special gift, making cookies with the children or planning that big family dinner. It's a time for happiness. A time filled with colorful decorations and children anticipating the arrival of Santa. However, to some families it's a time of broken ornaments, broken promises and broken hearts. And the only thing a child anticipates is fear. The holidays are an emotional and stressful time of the year for everyone. The pressures in some homes can cause tempers to flare, arguments to happen causing an explosion of domestic violence and abuse. Many abusers use this time of the year to gain even a tighter grip of control. The holidays are a time where many mothers will strive to do anything to create a festive time for her children. But the things that happen behind some closed doors are frightening and terrifying. Domestic violence is intimidation, assault, threatening or abusive behavior. Children in the home where domestic violence exist are likely to be abused and/or neglected. They are by definition victims of domestic violence. A child doesn't have to be physically harmed as a result of domestic violence, however, they may have emotional or behavioral problems. Many victims stay in the troubled relationship because they want to keep the family together for the kids, especially during the holidays.

Season stress is no excuse for abuse to start or es- calate. Both the abuser and the abused try to excuse the abusers behavior because of the holidays. Many use the excuse of “the holidays just get to him. But abuse is abuse no matter what the season is. Christmas is a source of stress but for most of us Christmas is a special time that we look forward to every year. If you find yourself in an abusive situation, it is critical that you stand up and get help. Season stress is no excuse for beatings or verbal assault. It is important to have a safe kit in cause you need to leave quickly. Your kit should include: emergency numbers, important documents for both you and your children, identification, medication, clothing and cash. You will need to hide this kit in a safe place. One that often happens is people are reluctant to leave. But staying together when it's a violent atmosphere is not the best thing for you and especially not children. This holiday season please be a caring support system for your family and friends who maybe experiencing domestic violence. Let them know they have the power to get out of an abusive relationship. The power to make that decision that will give them safety for themselves and their children. Whey they are ready to talk be ready and willing to listen. Most important give them support. Stand by them and help them to be strong. Other ways you can help is, call the police if you see or know about someone in a violent relationship or donate your old cell phone to your local domestic violence office for re-use by victims. Above all else EDUCATE yourself. Learn the signs of abuse. Please be patient with the victim. Sometimes it may take up to seven times before a women finally leaves for good. Don't give up on them. Always remember safety, not only for the victim but for yourself. Sometimes trying to help the victim may put you in danger also. Yes it's that time of the year when children are suppose to be laughing, singing, trying to guess what's wrapped up under the Christmas tree. Not living in fear for the next violent incident to happen. When you're shopping this Christmas season, please stop to think about those who may not be as fortunate as you are. It's the season to remember our blessings. Domestic violence doesn't take a holiday. As a survivor of domestic violence I refuse to take a holiday from making everyone and anyone who will listen aware of domestic violence. If you have a story you would like for us to tell email us at southerngospelmagizine@yahoo.com or timetoendtheviolence@gmail.com. We would love to hear from you. The first step to healing is to standup, step up and speak up. And now I would like to end with this prayer. Father we pray for the victims of domestic violence in this nation. We know that you

know who and where they and ask that you protect the abused among us. Protect them, O Lord, and let them know that your protective hand is upon them. Let the realization that you are with them in their difficulties bring them closer to you. As observers make us aware of how we can provide the hands, feet and heart to do your will as we seek your guidance. We also pray for the abuser that you would work on their heart. Change them Lord. Bring them to their knees before you and mend their souls. Work in this Father and let your work in these situations inspire others to seek a closer walk as well . In Jesus name. Amen. (from prayer1.org.) National Domestic Violence Hot-line: 1-800-799-7233, TTY: 1-800-787-3224 Let us not forget the reason we celebrate this wonderful time of the year. The birth of our Lord and Savior. God bless you all. Hope you enjoy your holidays and have a safe and blessed New Year. Merry Christmas.

What Happens When God's People and a Community Come Together

In Effingham South Carolina there's a quiet little community called Elim. There you'll find the House of Hope of the Pee Dee – Men's Christian Home. In 1988 Jean and Bill Fryar stopped by the Salvation Army in Florence, South Carolina. While there they witnessed homeless people being turned away because there was no place for them to stay. They went back to Winston Salem but never forgot the needs of the homeless in Florence and the Pee Dee area. They returned to Florence and shared their vision with 2 ministers who agreed to help organize the ministry. South of Florence in the Elim community sat the abandoned Bonaire School house. The building was in poor condition. There was no running water or electricity. With limited money and an abundance of faith the Fryars leased the building and 10 acres of land. The Fryars told people about their vision hoping to recruit others to help with the ministry. Many people wanted to see if the Fryars could get the operation off the ground. In the summer of 1990 they received a call from the health department looking for shelter for a homeless man. Each day after that the Lord directed other men to the ministry. Over the years the House of Hope has seen many changes. Some of those changes were good, some were bad. On July 11, 2014 a change was made that would bring a refreshing new look to the House of Hope. Mitch Gowen, a native of Gainesville, Georgia , became the new director of the House of Hope. Gowan says his journey was not unlike some of the men who come through the House of Hope. “I struggled with methamphetamine addition for 15 years of my life. I was a functioning addict. In 2007, that came crashing down around me. Someone offered me help and I went to a Christ – Centered addition program called, Reformers Unanimous, in Rockford, Illinois. I graduated from their men's home six months later in October of 2007.” From that experience, Mr. Gowen found his calling of helping others. While taking a tour of the Pacific Garden Mission, Mr. Gowen said “The Lord pricked my heart that day.” Mr Gowen eventually met Bryan Braddock who became the Executive Director of the House of Hope of the Pee Dee Men's Christian Home. While on vacation Mr Gowen and his wife stopped by to visit Mr. Braddock. Mr Braddock showed Mr Gowen the facility at the House of Hope. Gowen said, “ When he brought me here I knew I was going to have to move. The place was decrepit. It was cold. It was dark. It was overrun with graffiti on the walls. It wasn't anywhere that I would want anyone to stay, but it was a men's home. God started calling me then.” Before he would make that move, Mr Gowen wanted to make sure he was following God's will. Mr Gowen said, “outside of God's will the best thing I ever became was a homeless methamphetamine addict. I knew God was speaking to my spirit so I began looking for a bible verse. I got up one morning to do my devotion and there it was in Nehemiah 7 verses 1 and 2.” After much prayer Mr Gowen accepted the position as Director of the House of Hope.

Mr. Gowen began to implement the changes he knew were necessary for the home to run properly. Job opportunities have opened up for men at the home. Having a job is an important thing for the men. It builds self confidence. The men also receive spiritual counseling as well as they attend church and have a prayer meeting every night. The House of Hope works to change the lives of those they come in contact with. There's an effort now to raise money to help with some changes that need to be made at the House of Hope. It's called “Build a Wall.” Jimmy Lee, pastor at Elim Bible Church stated, “ We as preachers and teachers are always shouting about removing walls but this is about building some walls. We want to put up some walls for the House of Hope men's facility. Every person deserves a spot in this world to call his own. These walls will give each man living in the facility just that.” An estimated $800.00 was needed for materials to complete this project. Jimmy Lee knows that God still answers prayers because Mr. Melvin Lawson at Builders First Choice in Florence, South Carolina donated the all the lumber needed for the walls. Other members of the community have come together to donate money, time and supplies. The goal was to have the walls finished before Thanksgiving. Mitch Gowen said the home is also in need of donations of basic items such as meat for their daily meals, gas cards to help drive the men to their jobs. Furniture is needed, repair work is needed in several areas of the building, including a hole in the kitchen ceiling that has been patched and electrical switches that no longer work. Housekeeping items, personal items, household items and food is also needed. Jimmy Lee stated, “ I am excited about the new staff and direction the home is taking. It is our pleasure at Elim Bible Church to get involved and I'm asking my friends to join the small effort to make a difference in just one man's life.” If you are your church would like to make a donation to the Build a Wall project or just to help with other needs of the home contact Mitch Gowen at 843-661-5377 or Jimmy Lee at 843-661-6597 if no answer please leave a message. Ask yourself why does this matter. Men, women, children sleep in abandoned buildings, cars, alleyways, and even on the street. Each year more and more people become homeless. Just imagine having to rummage through garbage for food. Homeless people don't need handouts. They need a helping hand. At the House of Hope of the Pee Dee Men's Christian home the residents are taught to set goals, work, budget their finances, and take care of themselves and their families so they can become contributing members of society. As we celebrate Christmas this year let us not forget those who are less fortunate than we are. As many as 3.5 million people experience homelessness in a given year and about 842,000 on any given week. More than 600,000 Americans are homeless on any given night. There are 20 million homeless and abandoned children in the world today. There's estimated to be over 2,000 homeless shelters in the United States. This year will you be like the women in I Kings 17:12-16 who took the last of her flour and oil and baked a loaf of bread for Elijah. Because she gave all she had God gave her more. Maybe the widow in Luke 21:1-4 who Jesus saw put her last 2 coins in the treasury.

Or will you be like the one who looks the other way. Let's remember Christmas is the time for giving. How about giving to someone you don't know. When your sitting in your warm home, sitting at a table filled with food, stop and think about those who have nothing. Will you be a part of making a change in someone's nothingness. In preparing for this article the verses from Matthew 25:35-40 came to mind. “For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me. Then the righteous will answer him “Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and gave you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needed clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you? The King will reply, “ Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine you did for me.” I asked the question what happens when God's people and a community come together? Miracles happen, there's a feeling of togetherness, peoples' lives are changed, and God's blessings are poured out. Please take a moment and ask God what you can do to make a change in someone's life. Merry Christmas and may God bless you and keep you and your family safe in the coming year. Debbie

Armond Morales – Quiet Warrior The Profile of a True Man of God Unassuming, humble, and meek, these are all words that describe a great servant of God who has given his life in service to his Lord and Master, Jesus Christ. This quiet man, Armond Morales, is anything but quiet when the conversation is about Jesus. At the age of 82, he still travels the country, along with his beautiful wife, Bonnie, ministering in song, as well as preaching the word, praying for the sick, and praying deliverance for those in spiritual bondage. The anointing of the Holy Spirit becomes evident the minute Armond and Bonnie enter the room. You might say that they accompany Jesus into every church gathering place they are invited to minister. And we all

know that when Jesus is in the house, something good is going to happen!

Armond started singing in church at the age of fourteen after his voice changed, and it was very apparent to some at the time, that there was a special anointing on his unusually smooth, clear, deep bass voice, and by the time he turned sixteen, Armond was asked to sing part-time with the very popular Weatherfords. One can imagine the early training that Armond got from Earl Weatherford as they traveled from town to town, and the exposure he got to some of the greatest names in gospel music, yet he never allowed his success and exposure to go to his head, but remained focused on the One he was singing about. As other bass singers were showing off with low notes and vocal calisthenics, Armond continued to turn his listener’s attention toward Jesus. After fourteen years with the Weatherfords, a man by the name of Jake Hess asked him to take the bass spot in a new group that Jake was forming that would come to be known as Jake Hess and the Imperials. Jake chose an “all-star” lineup of guys to make up the new quartet that included piano player, Henry Slaughter, who also had been with the Weatherfords, Gary McSpadden singing baritone, Sherrill Nielsen on tenor, Jake singing lead, and Armond holding down the bass spot. Of course, Jake was an entrepreneur and “hit the ground running” with his new group. The Imperials were an overnight sensation, and it didn’t take much insight to see that they would soon change the way quartets were done, and there was some resentment among promoters and other artists towards the new group and the way they came on so strong, but the public had their opinion of the group, and there was no holding them back.

This new group would go on to take the world by storm and changed forever the fabric of inspirational music. Of course, making such a splash in the gospel music field did not go unnoticed by an avid gospel music lover by the name of Elvis Presley, and the “King of Rock and Roll” just had to have the group to sing back-up for him. The Imperials was not the only

“inspirational” group to sing with Elvis, as he had the Jordanaires backing him for fourteen years before enlisting the distinct sound of the Imperials to back him in the mid-sixties. Though some would become smitten with the “glitz and glamour” and fame of being with Elvis, Armond stayed true to his calling, and remained faithful to the real King who is the Rock . In addition to being in the “music-mainstream” with Elvis, The Imperials became regulars on the very popular Jimmy Dean Show, and Armond became very good friends with Jimmy while working with him, even convincing him to quit smoking. Regardless of all the notoriety, Armond never seemed to allow his focus to be shifted from being a witness for Christ. Few have attained any higher recognition for their work in the gospel music field, and even fewer have earned the love and respect of his peers like Armond Morales. Here are some interesting statistics about Armond’s life with The Imperials that include:  Won 4 Grammy Awards–nominated 13 times  Won 13 Dove Awards–nominated 58 times  * 1998 Inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame  * Performed with Jimmy Dean, Elvis Presley, Carol Channing, and Pat Boone  * Recorded the Daniel Boone theme song * Appeared in a movie with Elvis called “That’s The Way It Is” * Recorded 42 albums ~ 463 songs 

* Traveled to 22 countries: United Kingdom ~ Canada ~ Finland ~ Denmark ~ Norway Sweden ~ Holland ~ Bahamas ~ Jamaica ~ Faeroe Island ~ Germany ~ East Germany ~ Hong Kong ~ Singapore ~ Philippines ~Haiti ~ France ~ Israel Zimbabwe ~ South Africa ~ Puerto Rico ~ Ireland  National television appearances: Grammy Awards (the first Christian group to appear) ~700 Club ~ Trinity Broadcasting Network ~ Praise The Lord ~ 100 Huntley Street ~20/20 ~ The Mike Douglas Show ~ The Merv Griffith Show ~ The Joey Bishop Show ~ CNN/Take Two ~ Acts TV Network ~ TNN Nashville Network ~ The Magnificent Gospel Music Machine Even after all of these awards and accolades, Armond Morales remains humble as he reaches out to the lost and hurting with the Good News of Jesus Christ. The passion for sharing the life of Christ with others is awesomely apparent when one talks to Bonnie and Armond Morales. When Armond and Bonnie minister the word, it cuts straight to the heart, and when they lay hands on the sick or afflicted, God works through them for healing, and when they extend the invitation to the lost, souls are saved. Oh, and even at the age of 82, Armond’s voice has not faltered, nor has his anointing faded, indeed, the anointing is even greater now, and his rich voice is silky smooth. If you ever have an opportunity to visit a service where Bonnie and Armond are ministering, you will be blessed beyond measure.

Christmas Memories‌ As Christmas rapidly approaches, Christmas decorations, Christmas tress and shopping will be in full swing. So much in my life has changed in these past few months since I last wrote for this wonderful magazine. My beloved radio station shut down because I could no longer afford to keep it running. I moved off my mountain and back into Hancock, NY with the love of my life, can't believe its been almost 14 years. Our dog Chi Chi passed away and we now have a new puppy named Shelby. Now that Christmas is upon us I am looking back on everything that has transpired over the past year, loved ones that have passed onto Glory, photos that I have taken of wildlife, and landscapes, my family and so many more blessings. I realize that God has me right where He wants me for a reason. Growing up as a child in the mountains of Long Eddy, NY so many wonderful Christmas memories flood my mind. One really brings tears to my eyes and that was a Christmas back in the early 90's when my dad and mom didn't know if they could afford Christmas that year. Well I knew it was bugging my dad. That man took his whole collection of his beloved HO Model Trains and his layout, totaling in the thousands and sold every single piece to ensure that we had the best Christmas we ever had. I remember putting bikes together down stairs in my father's workshop for my little brother and sister that year. My other brother watching as we put it together. My dad sacrified something he treasured just so his children wouldn't be without something under the tree on Christmas morning. That was one of my most memorable Christmas's ever....

Another wonderful Christmas I remember was not too long ago. It was the first Christmas the love of my life Val and I had when we had our first place. We couldn't afford very much, so I got creative and painted ceramic figurine Christmas Ornaments, and made pillows and blankets. These where truly gifts from the heart, and that was one of my most memorable Christmas's of my adulthood. This year as we get caught up in the hustle and bustle of buying and making Christmas presents, let’s not forget the most wonderful Christmas Gift of all. This gift didn't come from a store, it came from on High, It came from God, the gift was Jesus our Lord and Savior... He was the first Christmas gift ever and without Him and what He did on the cross of Calvary we would not have any reason to celebrate this special time of the year. My Christmas gift to all of you readers this year is to remind you that Jesus Is The Reason For The Season, not the over commercialized holiday it has become. Spend this Christmas holding your loved one's tight, make special memories like the ones I have had over the years. Start new traditions, start visiting neighbors and loved ones. Put down the tablets, phones and computers and get out their and celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! Until next time friends, I WISH YOU ALL A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I am very excited and blessed to announce the publication of my first ever book of poetry. It is called "From The Heart" and is a collection of poems I've written over the years. God has blessed me with the ability to write poetry from personal experiences. There are powerful poems in this volume dealing with real life issues such as Domestic Violence, PTSD, and Alzheimers to name a few. This is an endeavor of love and a dream come true. My prayer is that God will anoint this book and allow everyone who reads it to be blessed. Praise God for not giving up on me when I almost gave up on Him. He has proven His word to me when He said if we delight ourselves in the Lord He will give us the desires of our heart. If you would like more information or to place an order you can contact me on Facebook. I want to thank Ruth Gainey for the opportunity to publish my poems in her magazine. My prayer is that God would anoint my book that all who read it will be blessed. Joye Atkinson

Knowing God as Your Husband If you’re a single woman, “God is my Husband” may be a wonderful comfort. Or it may sound like a cruel joke. If you’re a married woman, it might also seem very confusing. What does that really mean? I lived as a single woman for 48 years before meeting my husband, and I felt more than my share of loneliness. I asked “Why me?” more times than I can count. Every now and then I’d hear some other single lady talk about the comfort she found in knowing God as her Husband, and I’d wonder what she had that I didn’t. (See Isaiah 54:4-5) But it really didn’t make much sense to me. I wanted a husband with skin on! I wanted someone to kiss me and hold me, to go to bed with at night and wake up with in the morning, to keep me from being lonely. I wanted someone to talk to when I needed. Although I became very good at taking care of myself, I thought it would be awfully nice to have someone take care of me every now and then. And although I loved God, He doesn’t have skin on! How could He be those things to me? My picture of God went through a lot of cleaning up and growing up during those years. And over time I learned what it was those ladies talked about when they said, “God is my Husband.” And I can honestly say that a few years before I met my husband Al, I too learned to know God in that way. It became the most important dimension of God’s work in my life. And I still know Him in that way. If anything, being married has deepened my understanding of who God is to me. And I’m absolutely certain that this aspect of my relationship with God has made me a much happier and more successful wife. “For your Maker is your husband.” (Isaiah 54:5) So what does this look like? How is God like a Husband? And how can He be that to me if I’m married now?

Here are some things God does even better than any earthly husband: He makes me feel special. A word from Scripture directly to my heart, a whisper to my soul when I’m feeling lonely or anxious, a kiss of sunshine or a radiant flower – it’s all from Him. I’m important enough for Him to talk with, give to, and be there for. I’m Number One to Him. He is always there. Even the best possible husband cannot be there 100% of the time. But God is! He’s never asleep, out of town, pre-occupied, or sick. He won’t go away, and He will never die. I can count on Him to be there. (Hebrews 13:5) He understands me. I’m no mystery to God. He made me the way I am, so of course He knows everything about me. Although He wants me to talk to Him about what I feel, He knows all about it even before I do. I don’t have to explain myself to Him. (Isaiah 65:24) He has no limits. Even the best husband is limited by time, space, understanding, resources, and more. God has no limits. He can supply my needs – material, emotional, spiritual – from His unlimited supply. And He loves to do so! I never need worry that my needs are too much for Him. (Philippians 4:19) He believes in me. He knows my capabilities: He gave them to me. He knows the mission He built me to fulfill in this world. He sees the beauty, strength, and wisdom that are within me – that He put there. He knows I have what it takes to do the job at hand. He only asks from me what I have to give. My husband is eternally appreciative of whatever I do, but sometimes he needs things that I cannot provide. God asks EVERYTHING of me, and it is enough. There’s never a time He is limited by my abilities. He fills me up without needing anything from me in return. OK, these are very subjective. But in today’s world, where I don’t “need” a husband for financial security, aren’t these the kinds of needs we feel most as single women? And aren’t they where many of us married women feel unfulfilled? I almost hesitated to publish this article, knowing my husband will read it. God has given me a man who loves both God and me, believes in me, and is unconditionally devoted to me. I am one of the most blessed women anywhere. And I am grateful! But I also know that there are many single women who are hungry for a husband, like I was. There are many married women who feel lost and alone. And there are many women, like me, who know that one day they are likely to be alone again. (My husband is older than I am.)

So whether married or single, young or old, I pray you come to know God in this most intimate of ways. How do you do that? By sticking around. Sit in His presence. Be real with Him. Listen. Give Him a chance to make Himself known to you. And He will. May you come to know Him as Enough. Do not fear, for you will not be ashamed; Neither be disgraced, for you will not be put to shame; For you will forget the shame of your youth, And will not remember the reproach of your widowhood anymore. For your Maker is your husband, The LORD of hosts is His name; And your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel; He is called the God of the whole earth. Isaiah 54:4,5

Lord here it is the eve of your birth And children everywhere Are anxiously waiting for me to come And answer their Christmas prayer I get requests for laptops, IPods and MP3s Things are so much different now than they used to be There are times I get requests for things I cannot give Like the little boy who asked me to let his father live Then there was that little girl who sat upon my knee Ran her hands across my face and begged me to make her see When I get requests like these my heart is very sad Grant me Lord your wisdom, the kind Solomon had You know I'd do all I could to make kid's dreams come true But I can't do anything without some help from you When a child asks me for presents help me to let him see The best gift I can give is the one you gave for free My humble prayer to you O Lord I make on bended knee When a child looks into my eyes let it be you they see Amen

“After being in full time Southern Gospel music for 30 years, I feel it’s time for me to close this chapter of my life, and begin the next chapter to see what God has in store. Gospel music has taken me places I would have otherwise not been able to go, and meet the wonderful people I’ve met over the years. It’s been an incredible journey and the Lord has really blessed me. I’d always dreamed of retiring at 55, and guess what.. I turned 55 in September! If it’s one thing I’ve learned through all of this, it’s that God will give you the desires of your heart – maybe not in the way you pictured it, but He will give them to you in the way that He sees fit. Thank you all for your support, and please continue to support the guys now more than ever. The Father is doing a great work in them, and I have a feeling it’s about to get even better! As for me, I plan to travel, and maybe look into building a new home somewhere out west. You never know what the next 55 will hold! Ah, the joys of retirement!”

Music runs through the blood of gospel rap artist and youth minister Christine aka "Christ Clear". Not long ago "Christ Clear" suffered a stroke, which almost took her dreams away. “The messages of the world was not the messages I was getting from God reference my situation” Christine says. “Christ Clear” was introduced to HOLY-wood Records/Consulting through a mixtape submission, “Her music was special, angelic and personal. It was something different that caught my attention right away” says Lamar Williams who is the A&R for HOLY-wood Records. From that introduction Christ Clear signed a distribution deal through CLG/HOLY-wood Records. “I’m excited for this opportunity to have my music available to a broader audience so my message of hope in Christ will spread across the nations” says “Christ Clear”. Tonight 11-10-14 “Christ Clear” will make an appearance on Tiny (T.I.) & Shekina’s Weave Trip airing on VH1. Check your local listings for air times. CLASSIC ARTISTS RECORDS and PINE RIDGE BOYS ANNOUCE PARTNERSHIP Classic Artists Records, LLC and the PINE RIDGE BOYS announce an exclusive partnership that covers recording, promotion and artist development. This partnership is an extension of friendships that have spanned over 30 years. In the 1963, the Pine Ridge Boys began a journey that is still going strong today. Jim Stewart, Wayne Shuford, Charles Burke and Miles Cooper made it their mission to sing quartet gospel music and to do it right. 51 years later their mission is still the same, if not more so. Today, bass singer Larry Stewart (Jim Stewart’s son) now carries on the tradition with Wayne Shuford (original member) singing baritone. While Ivory Luke sings the tenor with Duane Rizzo handling the lead vocals. The Pine Ridge Boys are known for a rich quartet sound that captivates an audience. Quartet arrangements that share the true heritage of southern gospel music are complimented by harmony that is considered a lost musical art-form. From an old convention song to a heart stirring gospel ballad, the Pine Ridge Boys stage gospel music with excitement, passion and a mission to reach people with a positive message in every song and appearance. A full-time touring music ministry, the Pine Ridge Boys is experiencing a renewed interest in their music. Once you attend a concert, you will truly know why the Pine Ridge Boys are STILL ENJOYING THE JOURNEY! Pine Ridge Boys owner, Larry Stewart shares, “This is one relationship that I know is good for the Pine Ridge Boys, Classic Artists and gospel music. We are a true quartet that loves the classic quartet sound. Singing the old and new songs just makes for a great Pine Ridge Boys experience for gospel music fans. We have been friends with Charlie for over 30 years and are excited at the potential we have together to expand our music, the message and create a positive gospel music experience.” Charlie Griffin says, “I am really excited at the opportunities we have together. The Pine Ridge Boys are truly a rare gem in southern gospel music. Pure class on stage and off, they are the real deal. The Pine Ridge has repackaged their STILL ENJOYING THE JOURNEY cd under the Classic Artists label. But, more importantly they are in the studio now with the talented producer and arranger Art Bain working on a new project for release in early 2015. It is going to be a great addition to gospel music enthusiasts everywhere.” With Classic Artists Records, The Pine Ridge Boys will be more focused on building lasting relationships with gospel music fans, promoters, pastors and being available for media. There will be an increased emphasis on conventional, internet and pay on

HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. (Nov. 17, 2014) – The Tribute Quartet is excited to announce the release of their first Christmas project, “The Thought of Christmas,” for tomorrow Tuesday, November 18, 2014. Tribute – a male quartet comprised of group manager and lead singer Gary Casto, baritone singer and pianist Josh Singletary, tenor singer Riley Harrison Clark and bass singer Anthony Davis – released its debut project as a Daywind recording artist in August, “Journey of Hope.” The group’s long-time producer – Roger Talley – was the architect for both “The Thought of Christmas” and “Journey of Hope.” “I am truly excited about this Christmas project,” emphasizes Casto. “I can honestly say that this could be one of our best projects to date. Once again, teaming up with Roger Talley and working with the staff at Daywind Records has helped Tribute Quartet create a project that we can be proud of for many years to come.” The group’s first Christmas recording is an 11-song project that includes timeless classics such as “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year,” “Jesus, What a Wonderful Child,” “Come On, Ring Those Bells,” “Silent Night,” “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” and “Mary Did You Know?” “I had a great time working with Tribute on this new Christmas project,” explains Talley. “They sang better than I have ever heard them. This project sounds like the Christmas music that I have loved for years, and I am so proud to have been a part of it.” Tribute joined the Daywind family earlier this year. The group has produced topcharting songs such as “Homecoming Day,” “Homesick Angel” and “Good News from Jerusalem,” a No. 1 song. Tribute’s latest radio release – “I Am a Soldier” – has risen to No. 49 on the Singing News Top 80 Chart for the month of December. “We have been so excited about the release of ‘Journey of Hope,’ and now, Tribute has followed that up with yet another outstanding project,’” says Daywind president Ed Leonard. “The group continues to hold itself to such a high standard, and the exceptional quality of these top-notch recordings are evidence of that. The response to ‘Journey of Hope’ has been overwhelming so far, and Tribute fans – and the legions of people who love classic Christmas music – are going to adore this project as well.” Daywind Records is home to an award-winning roster of artists, including Greater Vision, the Nelons, Legacy Five, the Blackwood Brothers, the Bowling Family, Joseph Habedank, the Hoskins Family and Wilburn & Wilburn. Daywind is distributed to retail through New Day Christian Distributors, Select-O-Hits, and all major digital outlets, including iTunes. Danny Jones is a fourth generation singer, songwriter, and musician. He has been in the ministry for 25 years, and has traveled across America professionally for 15 years. He travels with his wife, Angela and their three children, Israel, Reba and Ethan. Danny has appeared on TBN, Dish Network, The Ralph Emery Show and soon will be featured on The Family Friendly TV network. Danny has been called the Roy Orbision of gospel music all across Europe. In 2010, he was nominated by the USAGEM for the Crown Jewel Contemporary Music Award in Nashville, TN. Dream Giver- This song brings me to a presence of worship that I have never felt before. I love how Danny Jones describes God as the "dream-giver". The presence of God sometimes occurs through dreams and visions for those who love him. I remember a vivid dream that helped me out to make the ministry that I have for teens today. Guiding My Boat- This song reminds me of Jesus and the disciples when they were in the ship, and a treacherous storm came and surrounded them. When they were all frightened, Jesus came out and said "Peace, Be Still" and the storm stopped. He is always guiding our boat, even through the circumstances and the trials, He still has his hands on us and guides our boat through it all.

Heaven and Earth- I love this song! I automatically began to praise God as this song brought me into a praise that reminds me He is the one who deserves all of the praise and He is our King today. I love how this song reminds me of what the Word says "Sing praises to the Lord for He is good." Hold On- I love how this song reminds me of how we should hold on to Jesus. This song reminded of when I went through the problems with my kidneys and He reminded me to hold on to the One who created me. It was amazing what He did for me, he healed me! I See Your Face- This song brings me to tears as it describes being able to see Jesus' face looking down upon us. It's amazing how God looks down upon us each and every day, even though we do wrong, even though we sin, even though our paths may not be smooth, He's with us. It brings me to tears because I remember what he did for me back on the Cross for me. I am blessed to know what He does for me each time I sin. Pray- I love this song as it reminds me of one of my most favorite things to do. When all things don't come our way, we pray and ask God to help us. Prayer is the essential key for the Christian. When we pray, we can expect something to happen. The Bible says as long as we have faith, He will bless us. Reach Out In Love- This song reminds me of the times when we should pray to God that we would show love to those who don't get it. When we see people who are down and depressed, we should pray for them and show them that we care. I pray that if there is anyone reading this music review that you would know that there is such a great love when Christ is in your life. Chosen to be a Soldier- This song touches my heart each time I hear it, the Lord lets me know that I am a soldier in his precious Army. This reminds me that we should pick up our cross daily and seek His face because He cares for us. Great Job Danny on this song!! Stand- This song reminds me even though this world is constantly sinking in sin, we should choose to stand for Christ. Standing for Christ includes praying, reading your Bible, and fasting. As Christians, we should choose to stand for Christ because if we don't, then Christ won't stand for us. You Love Me- This song describes God's great love that He has for us. It's amazing how much He loves us. There is no greater love than the love of Christ... He gives, He loves, He touches...

Rate: 10/10 Thanks Danny Jones for sending me this album for review. It was a wonderful album and I definitely enjoyed it.

Good morning and welcome to the porch. I am glad you are here and I pray that God will use our efforts to be a blessing to all who read it. Let’ say a quick prayer, Father we are thankful for another opportunity to share your words and love with many, Father please use us to show you love to this hurt and dying world, Amen. Well, it is great to be back on the porch with each of you. Now, that Christmas is just around the corner and this year is about to end. Many will be caught up in the bustle and making new year resolution. I pray that each of you will make sure that Jesus is a part of both. HIS BIRTH & OUR NEW BIRTH Let’s use Matthew 1:2&3 “behold, the virgin shall be with child and bear a son, and they shall call Him Emmanuel,’ which is translated to God with us” His birth in History: I would suspect that many were very skeptical when they heard this even though they were followers of God. I mean can you imagine a baby from a virgin? It would be hard to fathom. So, with this happening His birth is history. The holy one that is to be born will be called “The Son of God” Luke 1:35 we must look at this like this Jesus was born into this world not from of it. He didn’t come out of history; he came to history from outside of it. He already existed in heaven. Jesus is not the best human that the human race can boast about. He is the human that the human race can take no credit for at all. He is 100% human & 100% God at the same time. He is God incarnate God becoming man. He placed the eternal God on hold to become human. However, His soul was still of God. His life is the holiest & highest but yet He chose to enter this world in through lowliest and most humble doors, as child born in a manger. I hope that we all remember this as we go about doing our shopping and things the Christmas. To borrow and old phase, Jesus is the reason for the season. Moving on to the other have of the story, many will make New Year’s resolution. Here is the one I hope many will make and really follow through with. The birth of Jesus in our heart and soul,” My little children, for whom I have labored in birth again until Christ is formed in you…” Galations 4:19. As I mentioned before Jesus came to this world from outside of it so also must he come into you from outside. I ask will you let Jesus come into you as a resolution for the New Year? Will you let your life become a “Bethlehem?” for the Son of God. John 3:16, For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him shall not parish but have eternal Life. You are born again from above by a birth totally unlike your physical birth “You must be born again” John 3:7, You cannot enter the kingdom of Heaven unless you are born again. This is not a command, but a fact based on Gods authority. The evidence of this new birth is that you have completely yielded yourself to God. Christ is now formed in you” And, once Christ is in you His nature will begin to work through you. God is evident in the flesh. If you have not accepted Jesus as your personal Savior I beg you to make it your Resolution for the New Year. It will in fact make a NEW LIFE in and for you. Well, that is all from the porch for now. Hope to see you again Merry Christmas and happy New Year Brian

About The Browders From their beginning traveling together as a family in a Dodge Omni car, to a successful music ministry with national hits, The Browders of Hiltons, Virginia are one of the most exciting groups to step on stage in many years. This family group consists of Tommy Browder, his sons, Matthew and David, and Matthew’s wife, Sonya. They travel year round, keeping a full concert schedule as well as holding revivals across the country. One of their most captivating qualities is that The Browders play much of their music live with Tommy on acoustic lead, David on bass, Matthew on rhythm guitar and Sonya on piano. They also write most of their own music. In recent years, they have been steadily expanding and improving their ministry for the glory of God. The were voted "Breakthrough Artist of the Year” in the prestigious 2013 AGM Awards. They have enjoyed Singing News #1 song charting success with original songs like "Praise You In This Valley,” "Message Of The Cross," and "Land Of No Goodbyes." . With the release of their highlyanticipated, "The Message” recording came a milestone—their first #1 radio singles. They are currently performing songs from that recording as well as their hits and most-requested songs. Their current new release 'Time Machine' already has a number one song on the AGM Charts in "He's Alive”. Though things change throughout the years, their mission has remained the same—to bring hope to a lost and dying world and to encourage and challenge believers. They’re real and they’re anointed. We hope that in the near future you are able to attend or host a Browders’ concert to experience how God is working through this team.
