Another year has passed and we are looking forward to our New Year of 2015. Personally, my 2014 year was one that I am so glad to close the door on. Many changes in my life, some very painful to go through but I can at least say...they are over and I am blessed . I anxiously look forward to my future and to see and experience what God has in store for me. Change sometimes is hard, but then when you look back, you can say it was hard, but it was for the best. God provided provisions along the way and you are much better for all the changes in your life. I will be introducing a new inspirational quote each month in the magazine...many are from my own heart, and experiences. I hope that as I share them, they will inspire you to be the best you can be and be encouraged by our Heavenly Father who loves you and me! Love and Blessings, Ruthie Gainey, Editor/Owner

I Am Still Standing! It is 2015 and the doors are closed to 2014! I refuse to dwell on the past, what could have been, what might have been. I am living for today and all my tomorrows! God has abundantly blessed me to be here in the year 2015. And ,although many times, the enemy tried to destroy me or take me out...God had a better plan for my life! I know many of you that are reading this article will be able to identify with me in dealing with life situations. I have gone through much emotional stress and physical stress and matters of the heart.. I have gone through things that were very much like a tearing of my very heart. The pain was too much to endure at times. I could not understand why or how God would let me experience such pain. It was a tearing of my heart and the very essence of who I am. But, God had a plan and I am still standing. For you see, God knew what was best for me. He knew if my conditions of life remained as they were‌.I would experience even greater pain and loss. But, I Am Still Standing! Friends, I was devastated, endured financial loss , had

But, when I look at my life and I am surrounded by my loving amily, my daughter and two granddaughters and extended amily and I have made new wonderful friends. I am free from the situation that I lived in. I realize everyday...God has blessed me abundantly over and over again. I Am Still Standing!

I look back to the tragedies of 2014 and look to my bright future of 2015. I feel the presence of the Holy Spirit breathing new life into my being. I declare this to be the “Year Of Jubilee” in my life. I am ready for my happiness, my joy, peace and yes….even a new love. ...one that God has already chosen for me! I know God has a plan for my life, it is to prosper as my soul prospers. I already see and feel his blessings and an excitement in my spirit! I have learned valuable lessons and will use them for my future.

For you see, what the enemy intended to be pain, sorrow and trials and try to destroy me….God has turned them into a blessing that glorifies him! Yes, I Am Still Standing and I will tell it where ever I go. I serve a God that loves me, molds me and restores me! God has shown his favor on me and I will share the good news!

As I reflect tonight during my study the lord has reminded me that I have said things and done things that I am not proud of. Left to the decisions of people following the law, I have been condemned and cast aside, then a thought came in mind. John 8-3 And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst, 4 They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. 5 Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou? Left to the decisions of people and the law, she was condemned. They cried for justice. Luke 23-39 And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him, saying, If thou be Christ, save thyself and us. 40 But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation? 41 And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss. 42 And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. Left to the decisions of people and the law, he was condemned. They cried for justice Mark 10-46 And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging. 47 And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me. 48 And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou son of David, have mercy

on me. 48 And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou son of David, have mercy on me. Left to the decisions of people he was condemned. He cried for grace Mark 15-14 Then Pilate said unto them, Why, what evil hath he done? And they cried out the more exceedingly, Crucify him. Left to the decisions of people he was condemned. They cried for justice Then there was something that happened to the people who would condemn those who wanted to be forgiven, yet were continually condemned. Matthew 27-51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; Gods law spoke of Jesus. It pointed to Christ. People think that the law was condemning, yet they miss the Intent of the law. They see the judgements in the law and focus on them, missing the due process that was included. Where is the mercy and love? The scriptures testify of him who is the epitome of love, peace, and joy, Yet we focus on the judgements. Justice is what we cry out for, condemnation and penalty. Psalms 85:10 Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other. You see that in my reflection tonight I was reminded that on a hill nearby, on a man made cross, JUSTICE MET GRACE!!! Though we make our decisions and are always reminded of our mistakes by friends, family and others, be it murder, adultery, lying or any other decision that we have made in our own lives, through the sacrifice of worship we can open heavens door, and go boldly to the thrown of grace and speak boldly to the master and ask for our forgiveness. Remember on that hill that day, JUSTICE HAS MET GRACE!!! CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR STAFF WRITER, CHRIS ORMOND…..HE MARRIED HIS BEAUTIFUL BRIDE, BLAIR! On the next couple of pages, you will find some of their beautiful wedding pictures. I asked them if I can share with our readers. MR .AND MRS. CHRIS ORMOND……...

From The Editor: I had the opportunity to get acquainted with this wonderful group. What a delight to be able to interview them and enjoy such a fun time . I think I ended up laughing more than I did interviewing Jordans Shore...but what a delight they were. But, when it came time to talk about their ministry and how much they love the Lord it was down to business. During the course of the interview, I asked each of the artists, Jim, Angie and Rodgers to think about this for awhile and then write me a story or thought they wanted to share with everyone. I will be sharing these with you . Jordans Shore is made up of three delightful talents, Jim Reynolds, Angie Moore and Rodger Speegle. They have been singing as a group for less than a year, with Angie being their newest member of only 4 months. But, in that four months they have gotten a lot accomplished. They have been working on three CD projects, one being a live performance and have managed to hit the road already to minister. Jim says he has his own ideas about the way to be successful and making it less stressful while they are traveling. One thing, is that they believe in not being in debt, have less overhead., means less stress for the group. If we take care of God’s business, He takes care of us. That is what we strive to do in all things. When we travel, we consider ourselves a ministry. We are not about being entertainers. We are serious about what we do and people know that but they also know we enjoy what we do. We all hold down fulltime jobs during the week, but on weekends we are ready to go and minister to people and encourage them along the way. We each have our assigned duties when we travel and when we sing. Rodger introduces the group each time and during the course of our service or event, Jim will “MC” . Angie takes care of the table products. We work as a team to get accomplished what needs to be done. You see, it is obvious that they all care about each other and they have set long term goals for Jordans Shore. They want to be around for the long haul, not a short lived group. They all feel the calling on their life to do what they are doing .

While interviewing the group and getting to know them, you will always find out who the “funny man” is and who can rarely keep a straight face. Jim has to be one of the funniest men I have known and he will keep you laughing all the time. I asked Jim to tell a story...this is what he shared. We were singing in an old Pentecostal church on a Friday night concert. And, it was time to take a break after our first set. We closed with one of those hallelujah songs , you know. So, we stepped down and in front of the stage was one of those old furnaces. I walked across it and fell flat on my back. Well, one of those dear older ladies thought that I was slain in the holy ghost and she stood up and yelled…”Hallelujah , He’s got it” And, the whole church had a shouting spell and when we were called back for the second half the whole church was still shouting and praising God for the entire rest of the concert. And, I will say, I was glad that I slid down on that furnace.!!

Jordans Shore wants to wish everyone a very Happy New Year and many blessings to you and yours. Jim would especially like to give a special thanks to his Uncle Floyd Reynolds Jr. of Highland Baptist Church who has always encouraged him to continue his music career and through all the years has supported him with his prayers!

I asked Angie to please share a favorite story or thought about herself or her journey with the group. Angie shared the following with everyone.

I really questioned as to what story would be good for me to tell since I have only been with the group for such a short time. These guys are so much fun to work and worship with! Anyway, I think my favorite thing that has happened since I came on board is that Rodger has Spencer. This little dog that now travels with us was his mother's dog. As you probably already know, Rodger's Mom just recently passed away. Before his Mom passes away, Rodger was constantly telling us that he hated this little guy. Spencer has a tendency to do his business in the house while Rodger is away at work. Anyway, since his mom passed away, Rodger has constantly told us how he is getting rid of Spencer and he has to find someone to take him, etc. Well, the last weekend that we were out on the road, there was someone that was going to take Spencer and all of a sudden, Rodger couldn't give him up!!! We realized that big bad Rodger is just all talk!!! He loves Spencer. That being said, I'm not sure with our traveling schedule if little Spencer will be able to stay with Rodger or not, but for a split second, we saw the tenderness that Rodger has and how he really cares about him. Jim....on the other hand is a crazy, crazy individual. He and Rodger have such big hearts for the people that we worship with. We are out on the road for the purpose of winning souls and making Christian's lives a little less stressful. When we enter a service, we are there to see lives changed!! This is what we are doing all this for!! I hope that I've given you something to work with! Thank you so much for doing this article with us!! We appreciate you and your hard work!! We want to go where the Lord leads and allows!!

I asked Rodger to share a story or information about himself. Rodger is a very kind man and has it own s style of sense of humor. Honestly, I think he is the one that Jim loves to kid about so much. Here is what Rodger wanted to share with everyone.

As you know, I sang with Naomi & The Segos" for a little over 3 years and after that I worked in sales and marketing for "Brentwood Music" for over 10 and a half years and then "Pamplin Music Distribution" for a couple of years. After that, I became a Realtor here in Nashville, TN. I had not really sang much since leaving the Segos but a few years ago, after some family tragedy, I felt the call to get back into singing again. It's a very long story, but to make it short, in Feb of 2010, my mother's house burned down and she lost everything she had and barely made it out alive. I was down there at the time at her house in Alabama staying in a motorhome next to her house. The fire also destroyed the RV too. My sister was in the hospital at the time and two weeks after the fire, my only sister passed away. After that, I had to move my mother to Nashville to live with me so that I could take care of her. The next year, in Oct of 2011, I was diagnosed with Lymphoma. I went thru 6 chemo treatments and have been in remission since about April of 2012 and I think the Lord for that! After the fire and death of my sister, I felt the call to get back into singing. I sang with a group from Chattanooga called "Redeemed" for a couple of years until they retired and after that I wanted to get together a trio and that's when Jim and I formed "Jordans Shore". Just recently, on November 16th, my mother passed away after a brief illness. So, I'm still dealing with that loss. The singing is not only a ministry for me but it's also therapy for me as well.

As the editor of Southern Gospel Magazine, I have had the honor of interviewing a number of artists over the past 4 1/2 years. I have listened, cried , rejoiced and laughed with many as they share their stories with me. But, I will have to tell you, that sometimes, you talk to the artists and you may never talk to them again and they will never be a part of your life in the true sense of friendship. But, I can also tell you, that talking with Jim , Angie and Rodgers, I have made some lasting friendships. I feel that I know them better and they have allowed me to look inside their lives and share with you at home. Some things we don’t include in an article, because in talking with them, there are times, you put down your pen and you listen and you talk….just like old friends. You will want to get to know them when they come to your part of town, go be in service with them, receive a blessing and get to know them. You will love these people and you will feel as if you have known them forever and you , too, will be honored to call them friends. I so look forward to following them on this journey of their ministry and look forward to interviewing them again in the near future. But, more importantly, I am glad to call them friend and hopefully one day, we will stand in the same service or concert and can share the stage with this incredible trio….Jordans Shore….but I call them “friends”. Thanks so much, Jim, Angie, Rodgers for allowing me to come into your life over the course of this interview and to share with our readers a little about your lives and most of all, your ministry and how much you love the Lord! That is what it is all about! Ruthie, Editor

Jordans Shore is a Declaration 212 Productions recording artist. They headline this label for many reasons, but the main reason is they get the job done. They are sincere, work hard, trust the Lord for wisdom and guidance, and above all, proclaim HIS name all across the country. They have just finished up what is going to be, their greatest recording project to date entitled, In His Time. Each and every song was carefully selected for meaning and biblical value. The group executed these songs with heart, enthusiasm, and professionalism. There will be a single release sent out nation wide in the spring from this project. This company looks for great success with this single for the group. Trust me when I say this group can flat Get Er' Done. tt As Christians, we often look for guidance and definition in the Bible. There are many references to Order and Plans in the Bible. Several of my favorite inspirations are found in 1 Corinthians, one of my foundational verses is: 1 Corinthians 14:40King James Version (KJV) 40 Let all things be done decently and in order. When I think of “decent, I think proper and purposeful which can be achieved with planning, which also provides order. Planning is the first step to any activity. A good plan will include the basic pieces of information; What, When, Where, Who, WHY, and How things will work to make the project, activity or event come together.

Planning looks at the ORDER and the significance of things. Purpose and planning make all activities have a greater impact and provide a better experience for those involved. Everything has a purpose, best use and an effect that results when used efficiently. As with most activities, planning has tools that make it easier and assist in keeping the project or event running smoothly.

One of the most valuable tools is a written list or agenda that answers the What, When, Where, Who, Why and How of the project or event.

As the sections, get completed the better organization and order is developed. The more planning the more structure the project will have and the easier it is o navigate any problems or challenges to maintain the progress and achieve he goals set out. Communicating the plan with everyone participating ensures the better outcome. The written plan is helpful to evaluate the completed project and the progress made. Using the knowledge, resources, skills and talents to the most efficient and effective application is what utilization is all about. Making sure to achieve the goals and fulfill obligations and needs is one of our basic ambitions of life and the heart of Stewardship and being a diligent worker.

HOOVER, Alabama - Hoover Mayor Gary Ivey tonight proclaimed today as Ashley DeRamus Day in the city in honor of the 32-year-old Hoover woman's exceptional efforts to raise awareness of Down syndrome and the contributions of those who have it. DeRamus, who has been a Hoover resident since 2006, has her own foundation, dedicated to the education, advancement and quality of life for people with Down syndrome. Down syndrome is a congenital disorder arising from a

chromosome defect, causing intellectual impairment and physical abnormalities including short stature and a broad facial profile. But DeRamus, who has the disorder, has a motto: "Don't let anyone tell you what you can't do. Show them what you can do." She has been an active supporter of the Achieving a Better Life Experience (ABLE) Act, legislation under consideration in Congress that would allow people with disabilities to set up savings accounts to cover housing, transportation and other expenses associated with their disabilities, with no tax on earnings from the accounts. DeRamus, who has her own fashion line, also often volunteers at Birmingham's Bell Center for Early Intervention, which provides treatment for children with special needs through therapy programs. "Her love of people and children, specifically with Down syndrome or disabilities, is shown through all that she does," according to the proclamation declared by Ivey tonight.

How to Study Your Spouse One of the two best pieces of advice I heard prior to getting married was this: Study Your Spouse! I took that advice to heart, and I believe it’s one reason I am so happily married. I can also say my husband knows how to do this very well! You too can have a happier marriage if you learn to do the same thing. A prerequisite for doing this successfully is to truly care about your spouse’s well-being. If you’re only looking out for your own happiness you’ll overlook important things about your spouse that may mean the difference between peace and conflict, misery and satisfaction. Think of your spouse as something valuable and intricate, such as a high-performance automobile or a prizewinning flower garden. There’s more to your husband or wife than you will ever completely comprehend. But the more you understand about them the more they will shine, and the better you will be able to enjoy the richness of your relationship – not to mention avoiding a lot of pain and conflict. You can study your spouse by paying attention to: What makes them happy? What are the little things you do that make him or her smile, laugh, relax, or get excited? What is their love language? What kind of entertainment, activity, or spiritual practices lighten their heart? When they respond well to you, what was it that you did that lead to that response? All those are clues to knowing what makes your spouse tick. What causes them stress? Perhaps it’s not knowing where the money is, having someone misunderstand them, having more responsibilities than they feel able to handle, being around specific difficult people, or going through a daily grind without inspiration or excitement. Any of these may be stressful to anyone, but notice the specific elements that lead your spouse to feel overwhelmed, anxious, or upset. What nurtures their spirit? Perhaps it’s the thrill of accomplishment or adventure, time and conversation with special people, enjoying something of God’s big outdoors, volunteering to help others in a specific way, or the inspiration of music or a

good book. What makes him or her feel alive again? What brings them more energy than they had before? What kills their soul? Perhaps it’s your criticism of an aspect of their physical body or a specific habit, the way a boss, relative, or friend drains their energy while giving nothing back, working hard for a goal they don’t really desire, or feeling pressured to give up a dream they have not yet accomplished. Where does their energy drain away? Where do they feel joy? We each feel most fulfilled when the thing we have to offer the world is valued, appreciated, and rewarded - skills, insight, effort, creativity, strength, love, etc. What does your spouse have to offer the world? Where do they offer that part of themselves that brings them meaning and joy? Study your spouse. You’re sure to find much more there the longer you look. And don’t stop. What does that mean for Al and me? He notices the little signs that indicate I'm tired and he helps me find a way to relax. I've discovered how meaningful the Christmas season is to him and so we put up the Christmas tree at Thanksgiving. These and a hundred other little things make our life together so much less stressful and more enjoyable because we study each other enough to know what's important and what's not, and how to help the other be happy. There’s a wonderful side-effect of all this study. YOU will find much more satisfaction, joy, and love than you ever anticipated. Tweetables: why not share this post? Study your spouse. They will shine more, and you'll save yourself a lot of grief.

Starting the New Year with Forgiveness As we begin the new year many people are making resolutions. Some people will succeed in completing their list. Some people, however, will have failed to accomplish what they see as needed changes in their lives. There are many changes each of us need to make in our lives. Today I want to talk to you about a change ever victim and survivor of abuse should make and keep. That change is the act of forgiveness. Now I'm not talking about forgiving your abuser. That will come at a later time. I'm talking about self-forgiveness. Forgiving your self. The hardest person to forgive is yourself. But the kindest most helpful thing you can do is forgive yourself. As victims of abuse we tend to blame ourselves for the abuse. I know I did. I would say “if I had cleaned the house better or had dinner done on time, etc. etc. Then we go into “I should have left when he was passed out drunk. Well I stayed the first time he hit me or tried to kill me. I did each of these things because I was convinced it was my fault. Living in domestic violence or abuse daily you get use to the cruelty. It is possible to spend your entire life blaming yourself for the abuse. Forgiveness is something that's difficult to achieve. As much as we don't want to hear about forgiveness, it must be done to enable you to move on. When you forgive yourself you let go of that part that wants to keep you trapped inside the feelings of blame, shame, guilt and fear. As survivors as well as victims of domestic violence we often feel shame and blame ourselves for being battered years after the abusive relationship ends.

You don't have to punish yourself anymore. That punishment belongs to the person who hurt you. The guilt, the shame and all the feelings of worthlessness belong to that person. They do not belong to you. Your life can finally start to change when you forgive yourself. You don't need permission to forgive yourself. You are in control and it's time to take control of your life. Time to get your power back. If you want love in your life, be the love you seek. If you want peace, be that peace you seek. Become the woman you were meant to be. There is another life waiting for you. You set the boundaries and decide what you are willing or not willing to accept in a relationship. Joseph Campbell said “We must be willing to get rid of the life we've planned, so as to have the life that is waiting for us.” Being a victim of abuse is not the life we plan for ourselves, but, we have the power to make a change. To get that life that is waiting for us. You must come to realize there's nothing wrong with you as a person. You are a person worthy of love and respect. It's a difficult journey from a victim of domestic violence or abuse to a survivor and it may take a long time. At some point in our journey we must face the question of forgiveness. Forgiving ourselves helps us work through the feelings of shame and guilt. Forgiveness helps us through the healing process. Catherine Ponder said, “To forgive is to set a prisoner free, and discover that the prisoner was you.” Once you have been set free as a prisoner of abuse you are able to move into a future of faith, hope and fulfillment. Moving on from abuse of any kind is realizing you are no longer a victim but a survivor. Forgive yourself and begin to accept yourself as a person worthy of love and respect. Instead of being ashamed of where you've been and what you've gone through as victims, be proud of what you've overcome as survivors. I hope the beginning of this new year you do learn to forgive yourself. Remove the stumbling blocks so you can begin to find your way again and that your future becomes brighter.

Remember it's not your fault. Stop blaming yourself. Forgive yourself and start living again. Forgiveness is beautiful and it feels good when someone gives that gift to you. But it’s one thing for someone you wronged to forgive you. It was another to forgive yourself. ― Kristen Ashley, Fire Inside As always remember it's time to stand up, step up and speak up in order to put a stop to domestic violence and abuse. Mary's Alabastron Mary's Alabaster Box …. "Mary’s fragrant offering" was and is the perfume of her worship and adoration poured out in a type of priestly ministry upon the Son of God. This costly offering historically was also given to a daughter by her Jewish parents for her dowery. On her wedding night the perfume was to be poured out upon her husband's feet at the time of the marriage consummation. It was similar to the act of submission performed by Ruth at the instruction of Naomi to Boaz at the treshing floor. Mary's giving her very own dowery was a statement of complete love and devotion submission and obedience. Mary obeyed the Holy Spirit when directed to anoint Jesus by giving her best. She also was criticised by the church then as you may be now when giving Jesus your all. Do not stop obeying the voice of the Holy Spirit even when others speak evil against you. Just remain humble and meek before them. Offer forgiveness, love them and minister to God with your whole heart. That’s the "Mary" anointing boldly loving Jesus in abandon worship adoration and intercession. There is an anointing from the Lord being released into the body of Christ for this priestly ministry. Spikenard is sometimes referred to as "Nard" in the botanical reference books. Also improperly known as spikenard (from Latin spica, head of grain, and nardi), this hardy herb, a member of the Valerian family, grows in the high altitudes of the Himalayas. The part of the plant growing underground has the appearance of a hairy fibrous spindle, and is rich in oil. Nard was found in the Himalayas which is now called India, nard traveled great distances in the ancient world. The form it was exported was of a dry rhizome or mascerated oil extract, via India wchich was under Persian domain, under the name nardin.

"Happy New Year" It's hard to believe that another year has ended and a new one has begun. This past year my family and I have experienced many ups and downs. There was alot of really great times that we shared and there was alot of sorrow with the loss of many loved one's that have passed onto Glory, with one of our most recent family members, my fiance Val's nephew that was killed in a logging accident just two weeks before Christmas. He was 27 and left his wife and unborn child behind. I ask that you please continue to pray for this family‌ I personally have had many accomplishments this year which I am very excited about. I have always loved photography and enjoyed taking photos where ever I was, but for some reason I decided to take it to a professional level and have had much success with it. I love taking wildlife and outdoor photographs and sharing God's beauty with the world. I have had many of my photos highlighted on our local news, one of my Bald Eagle Photos was published in our local paper. I have won two photo of the day awards and recently came in fourth place with one of my sunset photos in a contest online. God has blessed me with spotting over 150 Bald Eagles in our area and I have had the honor to photograph around 60 of them. I have had thousands of comments on facebook about my photos and been told multiple times to start selling my work, which in this new year I will begin to do... I have also had some rough patches this year as well with my health, but with prayer and perseverance I hope to get my health back on track this year with weight loss, and physical therapy for the stage three irreversible lymphodema in my legs... The one most important lesson I have learned this past year is that life is very precious and fragile. God can call someone home in a blink of an eye no matter how healthy or unhealthy, old or young. If God wants them, He will call them home. We may never understand why someone leaves us at a young age in the prime of life, but God needed them more, and we can not question God's intent...

This year I challenge all of the readers of this magazine to hold your loved one's close and never go to bed angry. Spend quality time with your family and friends. Pick up the phone and call that special someone. Don't be afraid to take some risk, because there is no harm in trying something new. You don't want to live your life with regrets. With all of this said, I would like to wish you a Very Happy, Safe, And Blessed NEW YEAR! Lets make 2015 Your Best Year Ever!!! God Bless You All.... Feel free to email me with suggestions, questions and information on my photography at countrydrivingphotography@yahoo.com

Isaiah 40:31 (KJV) but they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles, they shall run and not be weary, and they shall walk and not faint.

PERMISSION TO BE ME

It seems like every new year people say they're going to start Loosing weight and working out to help strengthen their heart Or they promise to get back in church and spend more time in prayer Find someone who has a need and from their abundance share I don't make resolutions because I'm afraid I'll be Trying to become someone I know isn't me But this year I've decided to make a promise to myself I won't let the words of others keep me sitting on the shelf I will only listen to what God has to say As he walks beside me and guides me day by day I have wasted too much time listening to negativity So starting now I give myself permission to be ME @Joye Atkinson

BLESSED ARE THE UNDERDOGS

There have been many underdogs since God created man Though many people put them down God still carried out his plan When he said to Moses I have chosen you to go Into the land of Egypt and give a message to Pharaoh Moses said Lord who am I that I should speak for you You know I stutter when I speak so what good can I do When God chose Jeremiah and told him about his plan He said Lord I am just a youth how can I be the man When David was a shepherd he would play his harp and sing Not knowing God had chosen him to be Israel's king That just goes to show you when God places you on earth He's the only one who knows just how much you're worth So when he asks you to do something you may not understand Just trust him and remember he will guide you with his hand @ Joye Atkinson

et Us Keep On Point: ….

earnest expectation and hope that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but with all dness, as always, so now also Christ will be magnified in my body, whether life or be death( Philippians 1:20)

we go into the new year let’s give our utmost for His Highest. Not being hamed of anything we do or say. Keeping our eye on the prize … Heaven. We l all feel ashamed if we don’t yield to Jesus the areas of our lives. He has ask to yield to Him. It is as if Paul were saying, My determined purpose is to be utmost for His highest—my best for His glory. For us to reach this level of termination it is a matter of will..OURS, not of debate or of reasoning. It is e irrevocable surrender of the will at this point. If we try to think it out we will obably over think it thus stopping us from making total surrender to Him. Alough we generally cover it up by saying it is others we are considering. When think seriously about what it will cost others if we obey the call of Jesus. We y think God doesn't know what our obedience will cost other. This is just how r minds work. But God knows and we really know that too. So, shut out every her thought and keep yourself before God in this one thing only--- my utmost His highest.

y Unstoppable Determination for His holiness.

hether it means life or death,( which is very possible in today’s world) it kes no difference (see Philippians 1:21)Paul was determined that NOTHING uld stop him from doing exactly as God wanted. So many times it takes a ove from God to make us move, because we do not respond to His gentle dges. He brings us to the place He ask for our utmost and we wait to debate He will bring us to a crisis where we will be forced to make a choice. That mont is a great cross roads in our lives. Lastly, if a crisis comes to you surrenr wholly and completely to Jesus. He is better equipped to fight our battles. Blessed Brian
