FALL & WINTER FUN GUIDE 2015-16
F
all is here and it’s time to break out the sweatshirts and jeans. There’s so much to do in Southeastern Wisconsin in the fall. From the simplest of pleasures such as a long walk along a leafstrewn road to a weekend trip to take in the color throughout the state, it’s a time to be outdoors. And the area communities have much to offer in the way of activities to go along with the beautiful landscape views. From Elkhorn’s Oktoberfest to the Pumpkin Chuckin Festival in Union Grove to Thanksgiving and the beginning of the holiday season, there’s something to do for everyone. Local communities have art festivals, wine tastings, Halloween parades, shopping and more. Family friendly activities abound this time of year. Take the kids to the farmers’ market for a lesson in where their food comes from and a taste of fresh produce grown right here. What could be better than a crisp, homegrown apple on a warm fall day? Or pick the perfect pumpkin for that spooky jack-o-lantern. Fall is more than back to school. It’s also a great time to pick up a new hobby. The cooler weather is the perfect setting for hiking, horseback riding, biking, picnicing and even camping. So, it’s time for football and apple cider, Oktoberfest and pumpkin pie. Enjoy the autumn splendor.
