Welcome to Your Fair!

A Message from the Logan County Fair Board President and Members

Dear Fair Family and Friends,

Hopefully everyone has had a great year since we last met up. We would like to welcome you back again to the County Fair season. The Fair board members and superintendents at the Logan County Fair have been working together ever since the conclusion of the 2023 fair, to make this year’s fair another one to remember. Everything from revamping schedules to adding more and more classes for each of you to find your spot within the fair.

We are looking at a few changes again this year so, as each of you read through this year’s Fair book, you will see a few changes and additions. Please read closely, in the areas of which you choose to be a part of and make sure you note the changes that are to take place this year.

As far as entertainment for the week, we have made a slight change to the lineup from what we have had the last several years. This year, we will be welcoming a new carnival company to Logan County. Miller Spectacular Shows out of Greenbrier, AR will be our carnival entertainment this year. You should expect to see a few changes to the Midway with them bringing their show to our community. We are looking forward to seeing what they have to offer us this year. We are also planning again to add in some musical entertainment for your viewing and listening pleasure. Plans are still in the works and will be announced later. Be on the lookout for this as we release who we will showcase and what times they will be on the stage.

Again, this year we plan to have a barn full of animals, showcasing all the hard work of the 4-H & FFA kids participating in livestock projects from across Logan County. Make sure to pay close attention to the schedule of events so you don’t miss anything that will be going on in the barns. We would like to remind everyone to please be cautious as you make your way through the barns because they will be loaded up with animals and very tight to move through. Be safe and do not touch animals without asking exhibitors of each animal first. Our ladies inside the Exhibit Hall have revamped, added, and taken out classes for all arts, crafts, and home economic items. Look closely to each class to see if there are changes that may affect you or your entries.

Finally, I’d like to thank all our volunteers, sponsors and contributors who make this fair possible. If it weren’t for the support from each one of you, this whole week would not be possible.

Come out this year and see what we have to offer and enjoy everything at the Logan County Fair, Where There’s Fun for The Whole Herd!!

In Dedication to

The Logan County Knights of Columbus

Logan County Council #3787 “Paris” & Father Abbot Raphael DeSalvo Council #14619 “Scranton”

The Logan County Fair Board would like to honor The Logan County Knights of Columbus in Paris & Scranton for their many years of dedication to the Logan County Fair, our local communities, our exhibitors, and their exhibits.

The Paris group, Logan County Council 3787, was chartered on November 11, 1953, and currently consists of 191 members. The Scranton group, Father Abbot Raphael DeSalvo Council 14619 chartered on August 10, 2008, and currently consists of 135 members.

The Knights of Columbus was founded on the principles of charity, unity, and fraternity and both groups have shown all those attributes by serving our community in numerous ways over the years.

Both Knights of Columbus groups, have been vital fixtures at the Logan County Fair for many years. The most common area they will be remembered by the public is for the many hours these men have spent in the concession stand flipping burgers, grilling onions, and serving up some of the best Fair burgers during the week of the fair.

They have been voted many times over as the “Best Fair Burger at the Logan County Fair”. Not only have they had their presence in the concession stand but have been vital supporters of the construction of many of the buildings that we continue to utilize today. There have been so many volunteer hours logged by this group over the years that there is no way that we could go back and count them all up. There has been, over the years, thousands and thousands of dollars spent to either support the Fair Association or the exhibitors specifically by purchasing ads in the yearly publication of the Fair Book, sponsorships at the annual golf tournament, add on money to the livestock exhibitors or even individual Knights stepping out and purchasing an animal at the Premium Livestock Auction at the conclusion of the livestock shows each year.

The Logan County Fair Association is totally grateful to each one of these men, past, present & future, for their efforts, and continued support in the many years to come, to Logan County, the Logan County Fair, and the residents of Logan County.
