International Affairs
SRC have been networking globally for more than 12 years with international partners with the aims of:
• Promoting social inclusion and diversity
• Developing and implementing a range of innovative strategic partnership projects
• Organising exchange visits for staff and students on an international stage
• Hosting overseas students and staff to undertake work placements and work shadowing opportunities in NI
• Undertaking relevant mobility placements that help attune the curriculum to labour market needs
• Taking part in European and international cooperation exchanging best practice and promoting equality and diversity
• Supporting work-based learning and enhancing digital integration in learning and teaching
The External Funding and International Team at SRC has vast expertise in income generation capacity and international activity. Under Leonardo Da Vinci and the replacement programme Erasmus+, the College has secured over €5.5m in funding to support 75 projects.
SRC’s international strategy has achieved an excellent track record of providing high quality European VET & HE mobilities and as a result, SRC holds the prestigious VET & HE Erasmus+ Charter
Annually we send students and staff on a range of excellent mobility placement opportunities across Europe and beyond. Students have travelled to a range of destinations including, Italy, Spain, Germany, Malta, Finland, Portugal, Sweden, Estonia, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic and the USA. With the launch of the Turing Programme there are now more opportunities to travel both to Europe and further afield to experience an international placement.
