The parade spanned for nearly one hour with seventeen floats and record attendance. “This was a well-put-together parade. The Chamber always does a great job, I have received numerous comments on how nice the parade was” stated Fort Payne Mayor Brian Baine. “The Christmas in the Park sponsored by the Fort Payne Parks and Recreation was a huge success, I appreciate all the hard work that was done by the City workers.” “One of the nicest comments that I have received was that the City looks like something from a Hallmark movie.” The City of Fort Payne will also sponsor ice skating at the Rotary Pavilion from December 17th through the 20th. The price is $10 per skater with all proceeds benefiting the Patriot Park project.
