DEKALB COUNTY, Ala. — Fort Payne natives and all-around country icons of Alabama have announced their 2022 Fan Appreciation Week schedule. Alabama hosted the first June Jam Festival in 1981. Fans descended upon Fort Payne, from across the United States, in hopes of seeing bandmembers Randy Owen, Teddy Gentry, and Jeff Cook. Fan Appreciation replaced the June Jam Festival in 1997, and fans showed up to celebrate the band’s longtime success in country music.

The ACCA Board of Directors has officially endorsed ACCA Past President and DeKalb County Commission President Ricky Harcrow in the upcoming Employees’ Retirement System (ERS) Board election. Seeking to fill the new Board seat reserved solely for active members of County government, President Harcrow boasts nearly four decades of county government service and countless years of statewide leadership on behalf of Alabama’s counties. Harcrow has served on the ACCA Board of Directors since 2007, on the National Association of Counties Board of Directors since 2018, and as Chair of the Board of Directors for County Risk Services Inc.
