ALABAMA-- Alabama voters headed to the polls Tuesday in a runoff primary election for several statewide elections. Only 464,577 votes were cast in
the Runoff Election, with a voter turnout of 12.74%. There are a total of 3,647,310 registered voters in the State of Alabama. Below are the statewide unofficial election results with the percentage that each candidate won:

DEKALB COUNTY, Ala.-- The DeKalb County Commission adopted a resolution to allocate funds for water projects in DeKalb County earlier this year. At Tuesday’s DeKalb County Commission meeting, six water projects were approved, as part of the American Rescue
Plan (ARPA), in Districts 2, 3, and 4. In District 2: • NE Water to install a 3” PVC waterline on CR 396, with a commitment by DeKalb County, up to $100,000. • NE Water to install a 3” waterline to supply current residents who rely on private wells for drinking water in the Red Bud community. RAINSVILLE, Ala.-- The fourteenth Rainsville Freedom Run was held on Saturday, June 18. According to race coordinator Jerry Clifton, there were 995 race participants in this
year’s race. Over 160 individuals and businesses donated to the race, with $41,000 being donated to local charites. The Rainsville Freedom Run will be moved next year, to the second Saturday in June, which will be June 10, 2023. Clifton stated that this move
will enable more runners to participate that previously could not due to conflicting runs and the Father’s Day weekend. Online registration to the 2023 run will open on Janaury 1, 2023. “I would like to
