DeKALB COUNTY, Ala. — The DeKalb County Commission held its regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, January 12. At the meeting, Director Anthony Clifton of the DeKalb County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) announced through the CARES Act, the EMA was able to purchase several LUCAS devices. These devices will aid in CPR for ambulances, fire department, and rescue squads throughout DeKalb County. Commissioner Chris Kuykendall informed the Commission that due to liability reasons, the

Doufexis, a Plainview graduate and former vice president at Southern Torch, will serve as Tuberville’s Senior Advisor and State Coordinator. Doufexis

previously served as the Chief Operating Officer of Go Native and Digital Media Director on Tuberville’s U.S. Senate campaign. He is married to Ashley Doufexis and they have one daughter. “Ashley and I have been fortunate to play a small role in reshaping the political landscape in Alabama for the last decade,� said Doufexis. “And I couldn’t be more honored to serve Senator Tuberville and fight for the people of Alabama in

RAINSVILLE, Ala. —The DeKalb County Board of Education held their regularly scheduled meeting on January 7. Circuit Judge Andrew Hairston administered the oath to swear in Dr. Jason Barnett for his second term as DeKalb County Superintendent of Education. Barnett ran

unopposed for re-election during the November 3 General Election. “I am proud to know someone like Dr. Barnett is here taking care of our children and one day will be taking care of my children,� stated Judge Hairston. “It is an honor to be sworn in for my second term,� stated Dr. Jason Barnett. “I love what I do and I am proud of the last four years and what
