PHOTOGRAPHER: LAUGE SORENSEN Vignettes WGRUV DANCE COMPANY is celebrating its inaugural year, and artistic director Holly Gruver has created a dance palate of varied colours as the company performs its second season, unveiling VIGNETTES! A picture; an engraving or photograph, a snippet that shades o gradually into the surrounding landscape. This diverse line-up of art includes a look into the classics of ballet, including La Bayadere variations and Flower Festival in Genzano, as well as a sparkling Spanish Ballet by Carli Olivier and more! Peering into international choreography with works by Dominic Walsh, Tyler Gilstrap and Kanji Segawa, VIGNETTES will be sure to entertain and inspire the audience. VIGNETTES elaborates on energetic moments of impact and serene moments of passion, subtlety and exquisite line variations. The brilliant restaging of A Solo in Nine Parts by Jessica Lang will be featured, reminding the viewer that lasting dance artistry is found when the stage becomes a safe space to play. You will feel inspired to connect with new genres of contemporary movement and leave with a reignited appreciation for dance artistry.
