Deacon was just 3 months old when a trip to the ER revealed the little guy was in heart failure. Maryanne Chrisant, MD, Medical Director, Pediatric Cardiac Transplant, Heart Failure and Cardiomyopathy, quickly determined he had Barth syndrome.
Fortunately, Dr. Chrisant and our cardiology team have experience with the extremely rare condition. Deacon and his family have been able to move forward with a detailed care plan.
