welcome Welcome to our glittering autumn and winter line-up We are very proud to be working with Blackeyed Theatre again on a major new touring production – The Great Gatsby, with a cast of hugely talented musician/actors, and they are joined in our drama programme by London Classic Theatre’s production of Alan Aykbourn’s Absent Friends. London Classic have impressed our audiences with their previous productions of Equus and Entertaining Mr Sloane, so we have very high expectations for Absent Friends. We have two in-house productions this season. First up is a second helping of Fawlty Towers – another three episodes to delight and entertain you, and then in the following week, for the first time, we are presenting an in-house family show for October halfterm – the delightful story of The Borrowers. Support these productions if you can – they are both created especially for you right here at South Hill Park!

Look out too for our World Music & Dance season on 15 and 16 October, with free events complimenting the headline acts from 6.30pm in our amazing new Wilde Upstairs venue. Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without the annual South Hill Park panto and this year the team that brought you Snow White and Aladdin are pulling out all the stops to create Sleeping Beauty – set in a wonderful, magical toy shop! Finally, now that summer is giving way to cooler weather and darker nights, why not enrol for one of our wonderful courses – learn a new skill – pick up a camera or a paintbrush, or put on those dancing shoes, and get inspired! Best wishes Ron McAllister Chief Executive, South Hill Park

Dinner Theatre Enjoy a West End experience without the travel with our dinner theatre package. Arrive early and enjoy a relaxed threecourse meal in our popular Atrium Restaurant before taking your seat for the show of your choice in the theatre. Prices start from £26 per person (incl meal & ticket). Price varies depending on the show. Look out for the knife and fork symbol next to a listing in the brochure. We recommend you take your seat in the restaurant 90 minutes before show starting time. Where the performance is in the afternoon the meal can be taken after the show. Dinner Theatre packages can be booked at Box Office or on our website.

Created by EastEnders writer, Kenny Emson, and inspired by the city of Peterborough, it’s a quirky mix of oral history interviews, 1970s and 1980s TV references and city council shenanigans. A poignant story of a London overspill family, a fascinating and funny insight into the development of a typical English new town like Bracknell, and an entertaining night out. This production is very special, very original and ultimately very moving.  InSuffolk.com

Green Flag Award

South Hill Park is about seven minutes drive from Bracknell Town Centre in the Birch Hill area. Easily accessible from the M3 (Junction 3) and M4 (Junction 10). We are very well signposted – look for the brown road signs saying ‘Arts Centre’ or showing a comedy mask.

South Hill Park is served well by local buses.

South Hill Park is among a recordbreaking 1,482 parks and green spaces that received a prestigious Green Flag Award in 2014/15. Bracknell Forest Council, who manage the grounds of South Hill Park, are applying for the Award again this year, 2015/16 and hope to be successful third time running.

From the Bus/Train Station to Birch Hill Shops take either the 90 or B2. Its then a five-minute walk to the arts centre. Bracknell is well served with train services from London Waterloo, Reading and other local towns. For further information contact South West Trains on 0845 7 48 49 50.

The national award, handed out by environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy, recognises and rewards the best parks and green spaces across the country. A Green Flag flying overhead is a sign to visitors that the space boasts the highest possible standards, is beautifully maintained and has excellent facilities.

South Hill Park Arts Centre is a place where you can spend your life. A cup of coffee on that first date, then dinner and a show, a proposal in the Italian Gardens, followed by a wedding reception in the Recital Room. A few years later you can visit the panto with the children and encourage them to embark on a journey through the arts. Years later, they might even have that cup of coffee on that first date at SHP. It’s a place that can stay with you for a lifetime.

Please visit www.southhillpark.org.uk By phone 01344 484123 During the hours of 7 and 8pm our box office staff are extremely busy – you may experience a delay in your call being answered.

Refunds and resales

Call into the Arts Centre and we can take your booking personally.

Tickets, once purchased, cannot be refunded. If the show is sold out, we can try to resell your tickets for you. A £1 administration fee per ticket is charged. Resale cannot be guaranteed. This service is free to members.

When booking a ticket, your details will be held on our database and you will be given the option of being sent information on future shows both at South Hill Park and by other arts promoters that we feel may be of interest to you. At this point please advise us should you not require either of these services.

A levy of up to £1 is included in the ticket price to go towards the SHP Development Fund.
