elcome to the first ever issue of the Southland Wedding Collectives magazine ‘Lost in Love’. From the start we had a vision to create a digital magazine to inspire couples, celebrate real Southland Weddings, and showcase the amazing talent of our vendors and the beauty created when we all work together.

Firstly, let me introduce you to the team behind Southland Wedding Collective. Steph is passionate about everything wedding and design related, and is in her zone when creating. Steph is also the boss babe behind Love & Good Co. Then there is me, Sophie, a creative who absolutely loves working with the latest trends in weddings and bridal fashion. I also have another side-gig You & Me Collective. This magazine combines all our passions and we are so thrilled to be able to bring you this issue. I cannot believe we have officially been a happening business together for six months. It’s been an amazing whirlwind adventure taking our crazy ideas and making them a reality, and through the late nights and hustle that it has taken to make this happen we have grown more and more excited to be creating something stunning to showcase Southland Weddings. Being invited to be apart of the More FM ‘surprise proposal’ was one of those lifetime moments that will never be forgotten. There has been bridal fashion shows, flower crown parties, bride of the year and many collaborations with vendors. We had an epic photo shoot day for this issue with a bunch of talented creatives coming together in various locations around Invercargill city for our Urban Lovers inspiration shoot, the first of many we have planned to show off our collective talents and bring our inspirations to life. We are beyond excited to see how the Southland Wedding Collective grows, how we can work collaboratively with Southland businesses and inspire Southland couples in planning their special day. We appreciate all the support from readers and contributors on our very first issue. This issue features seven gorgeous real weddings featuring Southland couples and vendors and is brimming with inspiration for you as you plan your day Happy reading ,

ophie is the gorgeous face behind the Southland Wedding Collective and also stars as a bride babe in our first collection of Real Weddings feature magazine.

Planning her Blenheim wedding from Southland was the catalyst Sophie needed to take the reigns for the Southland Wedding Collective. Hours wasted online searching for her perfect team to help make her dream day a reality motivated her to create a site for Southland that would offer the advice, recommendations and trusted vendors she had craved all in one space. Amidst planning her own perfect wedding and launching her signature business You + Me Collective, Sophie hustled to make the Collective a reality. The following pages are overflowing with goodness from her own wedding for your inspiration

SOPHIE + KALENI “you are my sun, my moon, and all of my stars”

-E.E. Cummings Sophie + Kaleni’s Blenheim wedding was a perfect fusion of their ideals, infused with Sophie’s love of modern simplicity and botanical styling, paired with traditional elements of Kaleni’s Samoan culture. The results were nothing short of amazing, a relaxed day in the sunshine surrounded by their closest friends and family with lashings of Sophie’s creativity found in all the beautiful details that transformed The Old Barn venue.

THE MORNING OF Sunshine, Sophie’s fav babes and a whole lot of laughs set the vibe for a relaxing and funfilled wedding day. Gorgeous and comfortable in Panama robes from you & me collective, the girls played games and did eachothers hair as anticipation and excitement for the day built up. Sophie + Kaleni’s daughter suprised Sophie with a sweet note she had penned for her and her mum gifted her with a pouch from The Daily Edit monnogrammed with her new initials

The girls beautiful navy dresses were made in Vietnam, and Sophies gorgeous gown is ‘Rosie’ from Daisy Brides. Sophie is passionate about New Zealand designers and has incorporated a Dress Concierge as part of You + Me collective, making it simple and fuss free for brides to connect with amazing independent kiwi designers. The Ceremony was held under a teepee made from branches collected at Sophie’s family holiday crib in the Marlborough Sounds. Initially they had envisioned having their wedding there, but logistically it wasn’t possible so they compromised by having a break there before the wedding with some close friends and bringing a little piece of Resolution Bay back with them.

Definitely take the time to enjoy being engaged and take your time looking around at vendors. We definitely rushed into some things and we could not change them. I know there is heaps of pressure to start booking ASAP but if you can give yourselves time, visit venues and vendors as much as possible, find out who fits your personalities and style of wedding. Also, make sure you have contracts with every single vendor to cover yourselves if something untoward happened. Page — 24

Make sure you do your day your way, whatever that means to you both as a couple, don’t do what you think your suppose to do or what you think people expect of you. Be true to yourselves. During your big day take some time, just the two of you together to look at your guests, chat about the day so far and just lap it up. S O U T H L A N D

We struggled to find a band that suited us so after inquiring around Marlborough/Nelson/Wellington we decided to fly Jetset Band from Invercargill to sing us down the aisle and play later on that night. OMG they were so worth it, these guys are super talented, had everyone up on the dance floor and we even ended the night with ‘epapa’ and everyone raves about them still.

ome is where you are ... Anneleise told Sam during there lakeside vows and it was a sentiment that echoed their lives together. Both originating from Auckland and returning there soon after their big day, they were asked countless times during the planning of their wedding why they weren’t getting married up there, but Central Otago made perfect sense to the couple who had made Arrowtown their home together. Ever so slightly nomadic and adventure loving, Sam and Anneleise have moved 7 times already in their time together and are already planning their next adventure. As Anneleise puts it “Home is wherever we both are” Relaxed and natural was the vision for the day and their idyllic lakeside wedding was just that and so much more. Anneleise explained “ We planned the entire day around our likes, we wanted it to be a celebration of us” With the focus stripped right back to encompass what they really loved, planning was easy. Styling was inspired by Pinterest finds, simple made beautiful, and together with their friends and family, Anneleise and Sam transformed the blank canvas of Lake Hayes Pavillion with their carefully curated wishlist of showstopping details to create a glamourous yet relaxed affair which was framed by the beautiful lake and mountainscape behind. From the cascading florals of the wedding arch to the gold leaf champagne served from the gorgeous Love & Good co caravan, Annie + Sam didn’t miss a beat with their impeccable styling and vendor choices for their perfect day.

WHICH SONGS WILL YOU RELIVE YOUR DAY TOO | We played Six60 ‘ this is forever’ as our aisle song and Lauv ‘I like me better’ for our wedding dance as it had a loud beat to dance to. Can’t remember any other songs. Those were our two biggies. WHERE DID YOU SAVE + SPLASH OUT |

We didn’t buy anything new, made all homemade presents and we didn’t eat out for 2 years! No lunches, no dinner, no drinks. (Imagine this: us at drinks sharing a diet coke... or at a lunch/ brunch just sitting on a coffee for two hours. ) We saved and paid for in full our wedding AND honeymoon. ANY ADVICE TO ENGAGED COUPLES |

Don’t compromise on the guest listonly invite them if they are important to the couple. Save up. Do you. WHAT MADE YOUR DAY UNIQUE TO YOU |

I planned the whole thing to celebrate us and our likes. Our photos were up Cecil Peak. Sam was blindfolded on the helicopter trip as we did our first look up there!! he’s such a trooper. Oh and the food was a collection of our favourites. I had emergency gall bladder surgery a few months prior and had been dreaming of pizza and Denheath Custard Squares which I hadn’t been able to eat for a year... so we had them at the wedding!

“Home is where you are”

GOOD AS GOLD Touches of gold subtly referenced the couples love for Arrowtown throughout the day. Rough alluvial flakes from the Arrow River were used for Anneleise’s engagement ring and Sam’s wedding band, and Anneleise’s wedding band was Shotover gold, all carefully crafted by Justin Eden from the Gold Shop in Arrowtown. The theme was carried through the day with custom Gold signwriting and champagne with edible gold leaf flakes served from Love & Good co’s gorgeous caravan.

HEN YOUR VISION IS A JOYFUL, NATURAL COASTAL WEDDING DAY (OR WEEKEND!) YOU REALLY CANT GO PAST THE PORT MOYNEAUX SCHOOL, NESTLED ON SOUTHLANDS CAITLINS COAST, AS THE VENUE TO MAKE YOUR DREAMS COME TRUE When your vision is a joyful, natural coastal wedding day (or weekend!) you can’t go past The Port Molyneaux School as a venue to make your dreams come true. “Jade, Mary, and the whole team really went above and beyond to make sure the day ran smoothly. The venue is so charming and in an epic location.” Lovingly restored with a custom built function room addition, no detail has been overlooked by Jade in the creation of this amazing venue. A charming mix of old world charm updated with modern design made the perfect place for Adam and Kirsties intimate lovefilled wedding, and with stunning beach vistas there wasn’t a place to turn too that didn’t offer a photo opportunity for Acorn Photography + Videography’s Erin + Ron as they captured every detail of the day. The love and joyfullness overflows through every photo, and the film documenting the day was the perfect way to share with those who weren’t able to make it to the wedding. Everything about this wedding makes you wish you were there to celebrate with this gorgeous couple. MOST MEMORABLE MOMENTS |

Going for a walk on the beach right before our reception, along with the speeches, they were all incredible - we laughed, cried, and laughed so much we cried.

Page — 54

Kirstie + Adam WHICH SONGS WILL YOU RELIVE YOUR DAY TOO |

Ceremony processional - Your Song, Ellie Golding version. Ceremony recessional - On top of the World, Imagine Dragons. Reception entry - Jump Around, House of Pain. First dance - Your Song by Elton John WHERE DID YOU SAVE + SPLASH OUT |

We splurged on photography and videography, as it was important for us to have some incredible photos to look back on and to be able to share a video with friends and family overseas who weren’t able to make it. I would highly recommend Acorn Photography! We were lucky enough to save on a few things with the help of some amazing family and friends - we used my parent’s Thunderbird for bridal transport and my mum made our cake; my mum and family friend Sue made all the driftwood and succulent centrepieces; one of my besties Abbey (who owns a salon in Perth) did my hair; and my friend Imogen choreographed our first dance. WHAT MADE YOUR DAY UNIQUE TO YOU |

Adam is a keen home brewer, so along with other drink options, we brewed a variety of beer especially for our wedding. ANY ADVICE TO ENGAGED COUPLES |

Try not to stress about the little things, you can spend ages trying to pick between different options and then you may not even notice on the day. Focus on what really matters to you and your partner.

A night to remember | Kirstie and Adam danced the night away with their guests to the sounds of Old School Duo. The Port Molyneux Schools purpose built function room is clean and modern and requires minimal styling to make it your own. MANDA AND BEVAN KNOW HOW TO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A WEDDING DAY THAT NO ONE WILL EVER FORGET! THEIR RUSTIC FARM WEDDING WAS A FUNFILLED DAY FILLED WITH UNIQUE ELEMENTS AND SURPRISES . “We did something a little bit different where the boys also had their own entrance. They rocked in to Eye of the Tiger in spectacular fashion. The bridesmaid and myself along with my Mum & dad walked down the aisle to Rhythm of Love by Plain White Ts. “ The boy’s fabulous Rocky inspired entrance set the vibe for a fun filled day full of love and laughs, and celebrant Megan Mackenzie said it was one of her favourite moments! DESCRIBE YOUR WEDDING STYLE |

I guess we had a bit of a rustic theme. I really wanted lots of hanging greenery with subtle hues of different pinks/whites to compliment the girls rose pink bridesmaid dresses. My Dad had lots of old knick knacks and old farm tools which the girls use to decorate the venue. Rachel & Floss were just amazing and really transformed our venue into something magic. WHICH SONGS WILL YOU RELIVE YOUR DAY TOO |

Amanda + Bevan

WHERE DID YOU SAVE + SPLASH OUT |

We splashed out on styling & flowers but it was money well spent. We didn’t want to look back with any regrets and think oh I wish we did this or that.. There is nothing we look back on now and wished we did differently. We saved money having the wedding at my parents home on the farm and made use of their shed as the reception venue. You can then choose your own caterer and provide your own beverages. We didn’t have wedding favours either, instead everyone enjoyed a celebratory shot with us before we all sat down. ANY ADVICE TO ENGAGED COUPLES |

Just have fun with it. There is only so much you can control and I must say weather is definitely not one of those things. it rained during our ceremony but we were determined to get married outside and did not have a care in the world. Everyone is there to celebrate the two of you getting married, ultimately nothing else matters. It goes so fast so just relax, take it all in and have the best day.

Eye of The Tiger for sure! We also played Best Day of My Life by American Authors while we signed the register and walked out together to “‘I gotta Felling’ by the Black Eyed Peas. Our first dance was “Say you won’t let go”, which was sung amazingly by our band Old School who had everyone up

ON TREND | The Duchess of Sussex has kicked the full coverage look for many brides, having a more natural radiant look trending. For the brides not afraid to play with colour, a bold lip can be massive statement, toning it down through the eyes and still leaving the skin beautiful and radiant. Gloss has made a triumphant return, this is a look to suit the “doesn’t wear much makeup” bride, paired with soft pinks or peach tones on the eyes.

1 | DO A SHINE CHECK Carrying a tissue to soak off any perspiration or using blotting paper to remove any surface oil, it also pays to carry a powder to finish off the job, one that isn’t too heavy such as a mineral powder so It won’t cake once reapplied. 2 | BUY THE LIPPY Purchase the lip product you want to wear on the day or have your makeup artist purchase the shade you have chosen on your trial run (if she or he is able to) so your lips are beautiful and even after all that smooching . 3 | INVEST IN LASHES Lashes are a must, and if there’s one thing to go big on, it’s big beautiful fluttery lashes! Whether it be lash extensions, individuals for a more toned down look or a big old pair of falsies! 4 | PREPARE YOUR SKIN Don’t go changing your whole skin care routine only a few weeks out (a lot of people get that step wrong), your skin needs a major jump start, so the sooner the better. Have a skin consult with a skincare specialist to determine the best suited products for your skin type as well as monthly facials if you can as an extra. 5 | TRIAL FIRST This key tip is a major! Avoid any beauty treatments that could go wrong the days leading up to your wedding, this means going in and testing your spray tan, finding a brow expert and having them done at the appropriate times, a blotchy tan and irritated skin after a fresh wax can really put a dampner on the day for any bride, and we wouldn’t want you feeling anything less than a million bucks!

ESS AND ROBS WEDDING WAS PURE ARTISTRY WITH EVERY LITTLE DETAIL THOUGHTFULLY AND LOVINGLY CRAFTED BY THIS TALENTED COUPLE THEMSELVES. Tess has always had an eye for details, and being an artist and the talent behind Sketchy Business Designs, it was no wonder her wedding day was styled to perfection and filled with handcrafted and beautifully designed details. Tess created the handpainted invitations, signage, and customised vintage furniture, while Rob made the wedding arbour and wooden backdrops. Loved ones helped with flowers, cakes and even dress alterations meaning that every element of this beautiful day was infused with lashings of love. DESCRIBE YOUR WEDDING STYLE |

Our wedding style was relaxed, boho and rustic. I really wanted to incorporate details that were unique to us, looking online and at magazines can be a great start though and give a lot of inspo. After I designed our invitations the wedding theme just followed and I knew I wanted natural elements, lots of flowers, feathers and lace. WHICH SONGS WILL YOU RELIVE YOUR DAY TOO |

The girls all walked down the aisle to ‘Something I need’ - Alex Hobbs Signing was ‘Ho Hey’ - The Lumineers First Dance - we didn’t do a traditional one, more like a dance with the kids to Dreams by Fleetwood Mac, they loved it!

Page — 90

Tess + Rob WHERE DID YOU SAVE + SPLASH OUT |

We didn’t want to cut costs on the big things and couldn’t have been more pleased with all the vendors we picked for our special day , but definitely did a lot of d.i.y details beforehand and made what we could for decorations and props. I love to find second hand treasures so this was really fun and our settings included a lot of brass, fabrics, and vintage furniture, while Rob made our arbour and wooden backdrops. We were also very fortunate to have friends that helped out too, Emma made our delicious cake and macaroons, Jill altered the girls’ dresses that I found online, and my lovely friend Geva is an amazing florist who created all our arrangements. ANY ADVICE TO ENGAGED COUPLES |

Just enjoy it! It’s a crazy busy day and goes so fast but is definitely worth all the prep and chaos beforehand. Make sure you stop and take a few moments, eat the food and get to chat with each other. WHICH ASPECTS OF YOUR DAY MADE IT UNIQUE TO YOU |

We skipped the speeches and traditional dance, and had platters going around all night instead of a sit down meal. We wrote our own vows and had our children as the wedding party, with Charlie our nephew as page boy. The kids felt really special and just had a blast dancing the night away with their cousins.

Explore Pinterest and Instagram. Check out what celebrity brides are wearing to compile a visual file of your favourite dresses. Then look for a connecting theme — are they all very embellished? DONNA RAE GIVES US HER TOP TIPS TO HELP BRIDES START THEIR WEDDING GOWN JOURNEY BE OPEN TO IDEAS | We constantly see women come in with a set idea of what they want for a gown, then try it on and don’t actually love it, and instead, fall for something completely different that they’d never considered. Keep an open mind when searching for your bridal gown and embrace the exciting possibility that you could fall in love with something you had never even imagined.

FIND YOUR DREAM DRESS WITH DONNA RAE

SHOP TRUE TO YOUR SIZE | Even if you plan on losing weight before the big day, shop for dresses in your current size rather than going smaller. It’s much easier to take a dress in than trying to work with one that’s way too snug. SHOP EARLY | Our gowns can take between 4 to 6 months to arrive, then you still have to factor in more time for alterations and accessorising. BUT NOT TOO EARLY | If you’re having a long engagement and immediately start shopping for gowns, the one you end up buying might be out of style by the time your wedding comes around, or you might find one you like even better closer to the date. FIGURE OUT YOUR BUDGET| Yes, it’s uncomfortable to talk numbers, but it will save you from heartache later on. Before your first appointment, figure out who is paying for the gown (your family, the groom, you?). If someone else is paying, get the hard numbers on your limit, so you can choose to stay within that budget or pay the difference yourself to get the dress you want. Your bridal stylist will also then be able to work within your budget so that you don’t accidentally fall in love with a bridal gown far above your price range. MAKE AN APPOINTMENT | Our free consultation appointments can be made online. It’s important to make an appointment as this will ensure you receive the personal attention every bride deserves. Due to the delicate nature and price point of our bridal gowns, a stylist will assist you in trying on dresses.

ISA AND GENE’S CENTRAL OTAGO WEDDING WAS A STUNNING LAID BACK DAY FILLED WITH SUNSHINE, LAUGHTER, LOVE AND MEANING.

Set against some of the most stunning scenery on offer, Lisa + Gene, who now call Melbourne home, chose to wed in Central Otago which holds all of their favourite holiday memories together. Lisa is a celebrant based in Melbourne but still loves to travel back to NZ for weddings whenever she is able to. The former Southland couple chose The Homestead and Woolshed on Racecourse as their venue, providing a beautiful canvas that they could style themselves. Surrounded by Centrals amazing vistas it created a relaxed holiday weekend vibe that set the tone for a whole new set of memories. DESCRIBE YOUR WEDDING STYLE |

The natural beauty of the venue and the landscape. We wanted to create an atmosphere so that our friends and family could come and let their hair down; our wedding was 3 days before Christmas so it was the perfect opportunity for people to get into the festive spirit. Using the caravan for our bar and to serve rolled ice-creams from for dessert was a great touch, our guests loved it. We bought the hanging baskets when we were holidaying in Bali and thought they would create a fun but intimate vibe which they did, so simple but effective. And the fuchsia is Lisa’s favourite colour so that inspired the greenery, white and fuchsia flowers. Lisa’s mum Shirleyanne had collected all the beautiful linen napkins for the guests which was amazing and she also created all of the vases for the flowers on the table with a recycled tin can/napkin. WHICH SONGS WILL YOU RELIVE YOUR DAY TOO |

Ceremony walk-in: Golden Love by Midnight Youth - in the lyrics it says “Oh meet me Thursday, for golden love” and we were married on a Thurs-

Lisa +Gene ANY ADVICE TO ENGAGED COUPLES | Enjoy every minute of the process and don’t sweat the small stuff, we were so appreciative of all the people who offered a helping hand which made the day even more special and everything just came together. Also, what I love about weddings is that they are basically all the same concept but the day is completely unique to the individual couple based on what is important to them and the people they choose to spend their day with.....no two weddings are the same which is what I love the most about weddings. WHICH ASPECTS OF YOUR DAY MADE IT UNIQUE TO YOU | We loved that both of our Grandmothers witnessed our marriage and signed the married certificates, Gene’s Nana Shirley Winders and my Late Grandmother Annette Bryce. My Late Grandfather Russell Glendinning also walked my down the isle with my mother Shirleyanne Monaghan which will always be a precious memory. We wanted to create some fun during the dinner so we had a few of the guests put chefs hats on and carve their tables meat for dinner, and they took home the homemade chopping boards and carving knives. The following day guests had the opportunity to take some of the floral arrangement home, and the rest we gifted to people in the local community so that others could enjoy the beautiful flowers over the Christmas period. . WHAT WERE THE MOST MEMORABLE MOMENTS OF THE DAY | We both loved sitting down to dinner and embracing having all of our loved ones in the room all in the one room at the same time, and we loved being able to sit down and admire the beautiful floral wonderland Lisa’s aunty Rachel Reed had created, the floral hanging baskets above the tables and the floral arrangements on the tables were amazing and created a fun but intimate vibe, Rachel and all her helpers of family and friends did an amazing job.

behind the scenes look at Wedding Planning with Encore Events’ Leah Stevens

I’ve worn many hats over the past 15 years but the ones that I truly loved was working in planning and hospitality. I saw a real need for someone to provide genuine help within the wedding industry: someone who was honest, trustworthy and cared about their clients enough to reply to their messages and emails in a timely fashion. When planning our wedding we often found ourselves feeling pressured by vendors to do a certain thing or to use a certain person. It was quite confronting and I felt right then I wanted to provide a service that took the stress away from couples by offering a wide selections of vendors that fit their wants/needs and budgets. This was how Encore Event coordination came about. I already had a massive head start with my previous jobs in hospitality design and sales and had built a great network of people who offered wedding services. Week by week over the past 3 years this network has grown to all area of New Zealand. I believe the more the wedding community works together the more options we can provide these brides and grooms in preparation for their big day.

I feel you have to be the voice and advocate for your couples. Its my responsibility to make sure that no corners are cut and no details are missed. At every wedding, there are a hundred moving parts and dozens of vendors working together to produce the most perfect day for two very special people. As a wedding planner, it’s my responsibility to make sure that everyone does what they were supposed to do because there are no do-overs at a wedding. I care very much and want each and every couple to get the absolute most out of their wedding day, To look back and have no regrets and feel as they went into this day relaxed and surrounded by the family and friends that mean the most to them. Going into this next wedding season I am already working with some super cool couples. I look forward to as the day gets closer for me big time!

My best advice for couples planning their wedding would be to surround yourself with the people that m Husband or Wife. A wedding is an amazing experience and a time to celebrate your love but a marriage i decision should come to you both much more easily.

Leanne + Nigel Leanne + Nigel married in a magical romantic forest setting deep in the Caitlins. With a bohemian vintage theme laced with gold and wood accents. Kurumea Lodge provided them with the perfect blank canvas to make their own, and the styling of the venue was a family affair with lashings of greenery foraged from their farm and the properties of family and friends who then all pitched in to transform the empty camp hall for the wedding feast. Bare wood mixed with perfectly curated vintage finds, greenery and Toi Toi and every last detail styled to perfection with Leanne’s creative flair, a talent that she is now sharing with others through her new business Remotelea Creative. Stationery design, signage, vintage prop hire and styling are a few of the offerings at Remotelea Creative and Leanne is a dream to work with when planning your vision for your special day. Leanne + Nigel’s advice to other couples is to make an early decision on your non-negotiables, spend the money on your photographer, the photos are memories that last a lifetime. On the day relax and go with it, it’s too late to change anything and what will be will be. Have fun! Enjoy every minute because it goes so fast.

ocated at 43 Tay Street, above Ivan Bulling’s, Cahoots is a whimsical work space, creative community hub and whatever-you-need-venue available for rent. Less about tables and chairs and closed off meeting rooms; it aims to bring together creative minds and establish a culture of design thinking. “There’s a wealth of talented people in this city doing great things from spare rooms and cafe leaners. Hopefully Cahoots will capture their imagination and bring them out to play,” says founder Louise Evans. A project that started as far back as anything matters, the renovations have been a true labour of ‘what-if.’ Resene Invercargill supplied the buckets (and buckets), of paint to reinvent the space, and it seems no colour was spared. Travis Kane, Resene Sales Rep, offered endless advice, rollers and even man hours. “It couldn’t have been done without them,” says Louise. “I cannot thank Resene enough.” All the art in Cahoots is local. Cory Varcoe’s Bodyscapes and Tess Butler’s chalk work taking spotlight places. Louise says working with local talent and community connections is at the essence of this enterprise. “Invercargill has so much potential but to be an innovative city we need to draw in, and more importantly, retain the talent we have.” Prices start from $15 for hot desking in the space, and small businesses can book a desk by the week or meeting room by the hour. Look out for upcoming workshops, think tanks and happy hours. Find Cahoots on all the social things and at Cahoots.nz

When searching the city for vibrant spaces to shoot our first styled inspiration spread and this insanely cool freshly painted floor pops up you know something great is about to happen. Louise was amazing and let us get in Cahoots with her to shoot an amzing collection of photos against her stellar backdrops of brightly painted walls and quirky cool styling. Tess Butler’s chalk wall “Be kind, it’s Gangster” and Louise’s vision for a creative co-working space fits so perfectly with our hopes for the Southland Wedding Collective to be a space where eveyone can shake off the notions of competition and come together to lift eachother up. This shoot was the perfect example of this, creative wedding folk all working together to create something amazing and showcase eachothers talents, and will be the first of many collaborations to come. We were so in love with the spaces at Cahoots, every way you turn is something new and fun to keep you inspired and the creative vibes are incredible! Ideas are flowing for amazing ways we could utilise this space, and plans are already underway for some epic bridal workshops so make sure to follow along on facebook and instagram to stay in the loop. In the meantime be sure to check it out for yourself and see what inspires you!
