ommencing an Oct. 10 rally outside A.S. Jenks Academics Plus School, 2501 S. 13th St., home and school association president Kimberly Moore tabbed the location “a gem in South Philadelphia.” If the School District of Philadelphia executes a plan to establish split classes through the removal of a teacher, though, the elementary institution could
find its luster tarnished, with parents and enrollees worrying about processing probable changes. “We’re confused and angry over this whole ordeal,” the third-year head and resident of the 2500 block of South Clarion Street said of her peers. “We cannot do this every year. Our parents are tough but they’re tired, and it’s every year that we’re fighting for our children and their education.” Nearly three dozen strong, the perplexed individuals united over fears the district would rid their Lower Moyamensing facility of third-grade
