Leamington splashpad to remain closed

LEAMINGTON — Youngsters looking to escape the heat at the Seacliff Park splashpad will have to wait until next summer.

Playgrounds within the municipality were opened with the announcement of Stage 3, but council decided last week to keep the splashpad closed for the season, citing difficulty in enforcing social distancing.

Meanwhile, the newly named Nature Fresh Farms Recreation Complex has been tabbed to have a soft re-opening, with user groups allowed to book the pool, gym and ice rinks going forward. The complex is not yet open for use by the general public.
