SURE SIGN OF SPRING

LEAMINGTON — As the weather gets warmer and the days get longer, the area comes alive in anticipation of spring and summer.

Boaters, campers and farmers make final preparations with routine maintenance inspections. Ball diamonds, tennis courts and soccer fields are dotted with eager participants. And golfers emerge from their winter hibernation.

Area courses are opening as the weather and conditions allow. Wednesday, April 6, numerous Erie Shores golfers were quick to gather at the links as the greens were freshly cut and the flags were placed.

With some early morning sunshine warming the air quickly, Tom Miehl was one of the first to enjoy the course.
