Childcare available for front line workers

REGIONAL — The Province of Ontario has approved an extension to funding the City of Windsor, Children’s Services Department’s Targeted Emergency Child Care Plan for School-Aged Children.

It was initially to run from January 4-8, but will now be extended to include January 11-22.

Emergency Child Care is being provided to support health care and other frontline workers whose (school-aged) children are enrolled in school, in order to support these families while schools are closed for in-person learning.

Child Care is being provided free of charge to those identified on the Province’s list of workers eligible for emergency child care for their school-aged children only.

Only approved Licensed Child Care Centres and Licensed Home Child Care Programs throughout Windsor-Essex County are able to provide child care for this age group: Approved Sites- School Age Emergency Child Care

Please use the application and consent for emergency child care below.

Application must be made directly to the City of Windsor, Children’s Services Department to ensure eligibility requirements are met or call our intake line at 519-255-5312. (Please do not contact the Child Care Centres directly.)
