Five arrested on drug charges

LEAMINGTON - An OPP drug trafficking investigation has led to the arrest of five Leamington residents.

On January 7, a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) warrant was executed at an address on Fox Street.

As a result, a quantity of illicit drugs and cannabis was seized, valued at over $28,000.

Five Leamington residents, ranging in age from 35 to 48, are charged with various criminal drug charges related to the Cannabis Act and the Criminal Code of Canada.

The accused are scheduled to appear in Leamington Ontario Court of Justice on January 25, 2021.
