LDSS BADMINTON PLAYERS COMPETE AT OFSAA

On April 30, two Leamington District Secondary School badminton teams qualified at the SWOSSAA Badminton Championships to attend the OFSAA Provincial Badminton Championships.

Nay Say Eh and Hazeem Nasir won the men’s doubles event and Johnny Knelsen placed second in men’s singles.

Both teams competed at the OF- SAA Championships, May 5-7, hosted in Chatham this year. Teams representing all high school regions of Ontario competed.

Nay Say and Hazeem took the gold medal in the men’s doubles C Flight.

Johnny Knelsen won four matches and finished in mid B-Flight.
