Friends of the Earth recognition

LEAMINGTON – Gore Hill Public School’s Extreme Ecoteam honoured three students as Friends of the Earth. These girls demonstrated responsible environmental stewardship.

Sophia Bedford (left) took it upon herself to clean up the marina area when she noticed it was strewn with garbage. Emma Enache (centre) picked up garbage during a recent field trip and then disposed of it properly. Brynn Bergen (right) takes pride in reminding classmates which recycle containers to use when disposing of their garbage as well as picking up garbage in the school yard.
