Shari Armstrong I’m the Southwest-Florida girl who wanted to leave this area as soon as I could! I graduated from Evangelical Christian School in Fort Myers, and then the University of South Florida in 2011 with a degree in Mass Communications - Broadcast Journalism. Since graduating, I fled to New York, D.C., Atlanta, and Los Angeles to pursue my dreams of ___ (Honestly, my dream changed seventy-five times, but all were production, TV, communications-related). I was looking for fulfillment that you actually don’t find in a place - you find it in your heart (That’s do DEEP, right? It’s true!). Luckily, God placed a better plan on my life. Two years ago, I came right back home and accepted the Lifestyle Journalist position at Hello SWFL. In the craziest way, that lead me to become our station’s Weekend Anchor/Reporter. I cannot tell you how amazing it’s been to get paid to do what I love...In my hometown. I get to tell the stories of people, places and organizations that I genuinely love! Crazy awesome! I want to tell you that when I’m not working...I’m working out, but that’s not true. If I’m not working, I’m at TJ Maxx. If for some reason you can’t find me there, try Netflix, volunteering, dancing, eating pizza, squeezing in a two-day flight somewhere, or spending time with my incredibly supportive and loving family...that hails from Barbados. I’m humbled that you wanted to get to know more about me. Shoot me an email. Let’s stay in touch! Connect with Shari: Shari.Armstrong@fox4now.com

Jacquie Matthew Williams Jacquie stared at the keyboard for days when trying to write about herself. This was going to be hard. Random questions popped into her head. What do people want to know? She though everyone knew her. Did you know that Jacquie was from Philadelphia? Of course, you did! It’s all on Facebook, what a devoted Philadelphia sports fan she is! Did you know that Jacquie is the only child of her mother, Ann Matthews and father, Leroy Matthews? Did you know that she was a product of a Catholic school education? Jacquie graduated from the oldest Catholic girl’s high school in the country (John W. Hallahan Catholic Girls High School for Girls). Did you know that she attended Flagler College in the beautiful city of St. Augustine, Florida? Did you know that she has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History & Political Science? I know, you are probably wondering what Jacquie did with that History & Political Science degree. Well, she worked at the Ft. Myers Police Department when she first arrived in Ft. Myers in 1984. Also, she worked for Lee County Courts in Small Claims and as a Judicial Assistant for Judge Isaac Anderson. Going on to The News-Press, Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall, The Salvation Army, Quality Life Center and Southwest Florida College. What is she doing now? Since May of 2015, Jacquie has been working at Lutheran Services Florida in Refugee Services and Immigration as the Community Outreach Coordinator. All work and no one to share it with makes for a very dull Jacquie. In 1994 she married The Mister, Marshall Williams. Upon this union, Jacquie inherited seven adult stepchildren and two of the most precious teenage grandchildren (now adults), Alicia Gonzalez and Keiron Williams. Together, Marshall and Jacquie have one beautiful daughter, Jerrica. This little family of three is her life. To have a husband who supports her and cheer her on is a gift. A loving and fun daughter who lights up a room with a smile and who still climbs into bed with them on Saturday mornings at age 23 is also a gift. Jacquie always had a love for photography. From taking a photography course at the Franklin Institute one summer as a kid, to “borrowing” pictures from various family members’ photo albums, Jacquie treasures the smile/ surprise/emotional moments captured in pictures. Jacquie volunteers for The Community Press as their photographer and social media editor. This service of photographing her community gives her such fulfillment. From babies to proms and graduations, from family reunions, engagements, weddings and anniversaries to retirements, Jacquie has been on the scene. But what has been most heartfelt, is capturing someone’s last photograph before their transition. A love for community is what drove her to become a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. Service is a verb. Service is action. Service is freely given. Service is Jacquie Matthews Williams.
