The ocean ecosystem is our home. It’s also how we reach our stunning destinations. However, it’s as fragile as it is vast. With Silver Nova, we’re introducing a new way of looking at sailing, at the environment, at the ocean itself. Thanks to unprecedented, state-of-the-art technologies, Silver Nova is one of the most sustainable cruise ships ever built: a true reflection of our deep commitment to the oceans, the environment and the communities we find at each of our splendid destinations.

The industry’s first dual-fuel multi-hybrid cruise ship with three sustainable power sources.

Powered by a trio of sustainable power sources, Silver Nova is primed to lead our fleet into a new world of sustainable cruising. Not only will she achieve a 40% overall reduction in carbon emissions per double occupancy*, but she will also be the first cruise ship to use fuel cells to support the entire hotel load while in port, cutting harmful local emissions to zero. She is also 25% more energy-efficient overall**

This is all achieved by the adoption of an innovative dual-fuel engine. In addition to running on regular Marine Gas Oil, used by most ships, Silver Nova will be able to use LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas), a cleaner-burning fuel that emits less CO2 and 97% fewer particulate than regular fuel oil.

In addition, she will feature the first large-scale installation of fuel cells at sea: a hydrogen-based technology that can produce energy to carry the ship’s entire hotel load - up to four megawatts - or to power the batteries, optimising her overall power system and saving fuel.

Silver Nova was designed from her backbone to lower her environmental impact as much as possible, starting with the carbon footprint for her construction. Her hull was designed to increase dynamic efficiency and minimise fuel consumption. She also incorporates state-of-the-art technologies to reduce onboard waste, such as the newly-developed Micro Auto Gasification System (M.A.G.S.), resulting in lower

incineration emissions, and a Waste Heat Recovery System which allows the ship to reuse waste heat (ie. from the absorption chillers) for even more energy efficiency. Furthermore, she’s equipped with Shore Power, a feature that allows Silver Nova’s main generators to be shut down and the ship plugged into the onshore energy supply where available, cutting emissions while in port.

As you wander the expansive decks of Silver Nova, you’ll marvel at just how much sea is around you at every turn, all thanks to its unique design. In fact, in some moments it may feel like you’re not even on a ship at all.

The Pool Deck surrounds you both inside and outside the water, with an extraordinary horseshoe design that features unobstructed views out to sea and the beauty of your destination wherever you are. These extend from the main pool all the way to the bar so you can enjoy every second and every sip.

The Dusk Bar opens up to welcome you to the horizon, as our brand new open-air sky bar affords you incredible 270-degree views. Enjoy an espresso in the afternoon as you gaze out at your destination, a hot chocolate on chillier days, or a delicious cocktail at sunset as you mix it up with your fellow travellers.

The Marquee is an entirely new way to relax onboard with two delectable dining options in one - The Grill and Spaccanapoli - both overlooking the waters of your destination. With seaside tables and a large variety of dishes from a quick bite to a Hot Rocks dinners under the stars, it’s the place to be on Silver Nova (see next page).

Silver Nova was built from the water up to be the most open possible, with an innovative design that features breathtaking vistas all around. Glass walls are found in all suites and most public spaces, with many sporting larger floor-to-ceiling glass than ever before. Glass elevators feature your destination as decoration, and our La Terrazza dining venue has 270° of glazed glass all around the restaurant. All this culminates in our one-of-a-kind Atrium, with a continuous floor-to-ceiling “glass wall” that spans two whole decks. And there’s so much more. With uninterrupted panoramas visible from all over the ship, Silver Nova can, at times, seem completely transparent, as it opens you up to the world like never before.

One of Silversea’s most appreciated suite choices, and one of our Venetian Society’s favourites, its innovative design features full sea views from both living room and bedroom, and a generous dining area perfect for entertaining.

The Junior Grand Suite

Wonderfully located at the top bow position, this spacious suite with pleasantly secluded bedroom offers spectacular views of your destination, including from the ample bathtub directly overlooking the sea.

The Medallion Suite

A new suite category launched onboard Silver Nova, the Medallion Suite is all about space, with a large living area, bedroom with king-size bed and generous balcony that offers up panoramic views.

The Veranda Suite

A Silversea signature suite, it features the elegant décor of Silver Nova and floorto-ceiling glass doors that open up onto a private teak veranda. Premium Veranda offers a privileged location top aft and breathtaking views of the open sea.

Season one is always something special.

Silver Nova sets sail for the very first time in Summer 2023.
