VISION & MISSION

The Acacia Palengke was seeded by the need of our beloved AWS community to respond proactively to the growing uncertainty of food security in the wake of the ECQ.

This community market initiative aims to provide fresh, affordable, all-natural produce and home-made products for the families in our community using the conveniently located, well-sheltered location of the Farm Shed venue.

Concern & Grievance Procedure

Step 1 Step 3

If someone experiences a situation that warrants serious concern within the jurisdiction of the market, the aggrieved party is advised to do their best to communicate their issue to whoever’s actions caused the need for concern, in accordance with the conflict resolution guidelines above.

Step 2

If the aggrieved party has still failed to find a resolution, the aggrieved party may choose fill out a “Concern & Grievance Form” and email/ report it to the Market Managers.

Within 7 days of receiving the report, the Market shall investigate the Grievance and consult the Aggrieved party to address the issue of concern. After which the Market will contact the accused party to investigate further.

Step 4

Within another 7 days, upon making an appropriate assessment, the Market will gather both parties to inform them accordingly of the most solution-oriented & sustainable course of action.

Vendor Cautionary Procedure

Written Caution Consultation Cautionary Hearing

If a vendor does not adhere to values, rules & guidelines of the Market or acts in a manner that negatively impacts the Market’s integrity, they will be requested to attend a meeting to discuss the issue.

Should the conduct of the vendor be sufficiently serious, or if the parent repeatedly acts in a negative manner, the Market may address a written warning to the vendor requesting that they desists from such behaviour.

If the vendor fails to respond to the written caution or despite the written caution persists with the negative conduct, the Market may require a cautionary hearing where the parties concerned have another chance to state their case and the Market will decide on appropriate action to be taken.

Appeal

If the vendor is aggrieved by a decision of the Market, the vendor shall be entitled with 7 days of receipt of the decision, to appeal, in writing to the Market against the decision. The Market shall, if necessary, discuss any points of dispute in the appeal. After which, the decision by the Market given on the appeal shall be final.
