VIBGYOR f we see the rainbow we cannot see the Sun! If you see the world you cannot see divinity! But a person who has seen the divine can see the world better and the person who has seen the Sun can see the rainbow better. Here the Sun is your soul! ~ Hittesh Morjaria
color chart to know which color to wear. Wearing the colors to suit your moods was also recommended to many of his patients by a famous Swiss psychiatrist Carl Jung. k. People wearing bright colored clothes live longer than people wearing black and grey, this might be one of the reasons why women out live men on our planet and men suffer more from heart diseases than women. Although the major reason for this is that women cry a lot more than men. It is the male ego which does not allow a man to cry, by crying a person relives a lot of suppressed emotions from the Aura which keeps the Aura clean. l. Black and grey colors also makes a person tired very soon and makes him look older before age. m. The theory of usage of colors is also called the color therapy and is a vast science in itself. The most important part of color therapy is drinking water from different colored glass or transparent bottles; this and other types of theories of color therapy create a very strong impact on our Auras. These theories require a deep knowledge of shades of Aura, the person's life style and his astrological chart, incomplete knowledge will lead to dangerous result.
a. An expert who has practiced seeing an Aura from a long period or a person who is gifted to see the colors as the result of his or hers past lives practices can see different colors in the Aura. b. A human Aura is like a living rainbow, every color and shade of the Aura indicates our nature, health, mood, surrounding, stress and much more. c. These different colors with their different shades allow an Aura reader to know what the person is thinking, where his energy is blocked, what kind of illness or stress is expected in him in the near future and what type of cleansing is required for the Aura. d. An Aura reader must be very careful while seeing the Aura. A person's Aura takes the color of his or her clothes, makeup including the surroundings. To judge the Aura color perfectly an expert must ask his subject to wear white clothes with white inner garments and sit in front of a white background without any makeup. A good expert does not allow his pre notions to judge a person's Aura. e. Hinduism which accepts Godhood in all colors' have Gods being in white, golden, purple and even red or blue Aura colors (their meanings will be simplified in further chapters) which indicates anger, passion, mischief etc. f. There are many shades of one single color, and every shade has its own meaning which might be exactly opposite to another shade of the same color. The color shape and size of Aura keeps on changing. g. There are many false concepts about Aura and its colors. Such as; a person having the same color Aura all his or her life, the size of the Aura hardly changing, single Aura color being dominant in a persons Aura, blue color Aura means the person is highly spiritual, intelligent, trust worthy and honest, green Aura means the person is very emotional, red means anger or lust and so on. h. A good Aura reader must be free of all types of concepts. Human Aura is such a vast subject that an Aura reader's whole life is not enough to be perfect in this subject, my theory is that I learn something new every day with every case I handle. i. A good Aura reader must never come to a random conclusion. Human Aura is like a human body, a very complex system; ever changing in color, shape and size as per our mental and emotional state. j. We can wear certain colors of clothes or makeup to change our Aura to that color so in return it can change our moods and thoughts. For example, a short tempered person must avoid orange and red shades and wear more whites and greens or a person who gets depressed or is affected by negativity very fast must avoid wearing black and grey. People looking for love and relationship must wear more pinks; you can also see the
Colors of human Aura: Human Aura as we now know is a human mind, our mind or Aura is a product which connects energy to the matter, it is on the boundary line of energy and matter, and we can say it is the energy which creates matter. There are many properties of matter, one of them is color. Like a baby has genetically received everything he or she has from the parents, the matter has received everything from its creator the mind or Aura. Hence, looking at the colors of the matter, it is quite clear that the matter has received its colors from the Aura. Different colors of Aura project different moods, feelings, future-past or present illness, negativity, depression and so on. There are many misconceptions about human Aura colors, as they are generalized. The different shades of the Aura are more important than the colors for perfect interpretation. All good shades pleasing the eyes have a good effect and all dirty shades have negative effects. The color of Aura keep on changing and they must not be understood or taken as permanent, they only reflect a persons mood, thought and physical or mental order, it will be incorrect to label a person good or bad by his or her Aura color. These colors also show on human skin, so we connect different colors with different feelings like red with rage, yellow with fear, green with jealousy, purple with passion, blue with depression. However, every colour with its variety of shades has generous meanings associated to it. Beginners can associate red Aura with physical self for

functions of the body like anger, sex, hard work, etc.; yellow Aura with mental self for functions of the mind like fear, knowledge, education etc. Blue Aura with spiritual self for functions of the soul like meditation, bliss, depression and so on. If an Aura reader is regular with his breathing (Pranayam) and meditation and is regularly practicing seeing Auras, then he or she can start seeing different shades in the colors. It is not necessary that the color or shade of the whole Aura will be the same throughout the body you might also see patches of different colors and shades in it; specially the patches of black or grey, negativity is very well seen in the Aura. There are nine basic colors out of which Violet, Indigo, Blue and Green are cool colors; Yellow, Orange and Red are hot colors; White and black are neutral colors. This is the most basic and useful information for balancing Aura colors and shades via Aura cleansing. All the colours of Vibgyor have come out of white colour, but when they are remixed you get black color. Enlightenment or perfect Aura balancing is balancing all colors to give a perfect White. If the balancing is not done by an expert it might cause more black or negativity in the patients Aura. When you can see the White Sun you cannot see the Vibgyor rainbow and when you see the colorful Vibgyor rainbow you cannot see the White Sun. In the same manner when a person is spiritually inclined having a healthy mind, body and soul he has Sliver white or rainbow of all seven colors as his or her Aura color. You will not see any colors but when you see different colors or shades then the white is not seen. Life Is Art By Tim Rees Part 1: Perspectives. Changing your perspective will change your mind. The statement is obvious, but the perspectives I wish to offer you now are less obvious. It is important to note I am not a scientist. I am writing from a spiritual perspective that is purely my own. I glance at science as a layman with no expertise or experience in any scientifc subject, except, of course, I have always been an ardent observer of life, the universe and everything. I am not burdened with having to provide scientifc proof of anything and, spiritually, my perspective is only of equal value to the next man, woman or child. The only difference is I am writing my perspectives down. I am not religious. In fact I deliberately steer clear of any religious reference because any religious reference would be burdened with the weight of layers of dogmatic reinterpretations and, in my view, misinterpretations that will immediately cause the reader to leap to preconceptions. I do appreciate the fact that expressing my ideas freely without burden of proof makes life very easy for me. I can theorize and hypothesise to my hearts content, but you are also free to simply disregard everything I say. All I offer are my own original thoughts should you wish to read on. I’m sure my ideas and thoughts are not original and that many have had the same ideas and thoughts, but I promise I have not read or heard of these ideas previous to my original conception of them. These are ideas and concepts developed since boyhood when I used to wander through woods considering what was at the end of the universe and visually I kept seeing a brick wall, which frustrated me enormously. Every brick wall has to have something on the other side and that was something I needed to see, to understand, to comprehend… These question marks confounded me and occupied hours upon hours of time that could have probably been put to better use making a serious attempt to pass school exams that I persistently failed miserably… Anyway, this text is simply designed as a discussion document in an effort to allow me to feel those hours weren’t wasted afterall ;) Whilst I attempt to explain in words concepts and perspectives that will often defy words, I will, at times, ask you to stretch your imagination. If you have diffculty perceiving an image I offer, please step back and maybe change your perspective to see with greater clarity. If you fnd a perspective I offer controversial, I would ask you to stay with the thought and/or image and together we will pass through the controversy. It is my opinion the truth can be found in every perspective and to express that fully to you it will be necessary to offer you uncomfortable, challenging perspectives that will be perceived by some individual’s as controversial. I make no apology for that. But the purpose of this theorizing is not to force my perspectives upon others, but it is my hope they may help clarify other individual’s perspectives. I will often 7
refer to science, yet the purpose of the work, at least from my perspective, is spiritual. Spirituality begins and ends at the centre of self, but the journey embraces all the colours of the universe and the journey is always an individual one. Yet, although everyone who has embarked on their spiritual journey has done so alone, at the moment the light begins to shine and the soul, the true self, opens the eyes, that individual realises for the frst time he or she is walking hand in hand with others in harmony with the whole world. It is an awesome moment and from that moment there is no turning back. This dialogue is very much a hand in hand walk through my journey, breathing in my perspectives, and during my journey I have always glanced at science to consider what I see and feel spiritually against what science can currently demonstrate. Whilst my priority is always spiritual, I do appreciate imaginative scientists. I can’t remember now where I frst read about Albert Einstein riding a beam of light as he conceives his theory of relativity, but it is a wonderful image and one that shows science as the creative medium it truly is. You may well have a different perspective on the same view and that is not only okay, it is necessary, unless, of course, your perspective is one where any other life form is victimised for whatever reason. In my opinion, victimisation and persecution are only ever motivated by ignorance and fear. Ignorance and fear are human characteristics in this physical life, characteristics that hang like chains, locking you to the ego. Ignorance and fear corrupt and distort the truth. My only wish is to open eyes to perspectives that offer insight to the true quality of the souls of men, women and all life forms we are able to perceive and with whom we share this incredible and fantastic planet. I would welcome the opportunity to see all perspectives that can stand up in the light. In my view, all life forms add their own colour to the world and it is important we embrace all the colours with equal value. For example, I would ask you consider life from an ant’s perspective BEFORE you tread on it, although that is much easier to say than do, hopefully you get my point – and this subject is explained more fully in part two when I explain my scientifc and spiritual perspective of conscience and love… Our Physical reality: So, where to begin expressing what I see? Well, physically we can only see in the light. So let us begin with light. Our primary physical sense is sight and we perceive our reality within the wavelength or frequency of white light. Science will tell us that white light is made up of the colour temperatures of primary colours red, green and blue. Red, green and blue then have their own wavelength within white light with the vast spectrum of hues each with their own wavelength. There are also frequencies of light we cannot perceive with our physical sight, X-rays and infrared are just examples thus far discovered and proven by science. I will argue later that frequencies of light are infnite and that our perception, our reality if you wish, within white light, is a refection of the whole. But let us stay within the realms of white light for now. So whilst white light reveals to us our reality, light, as science will currently state, consists of photons. Quantum physics labels a photon as elementary particle. A Photon has virtually no measurable mass, yet it is vital to life and the creation of life as we currently know it. Light is interesting spiritually because you will hear me argue the scientifc world deals with the reality we can identify with
8
substance whilst the spiritual world deals with a reality of no substance. I will try and show you how it is my belief light has both, substance and no substance and lights up the spiritual world in exactly the same way it lights up the physical world only the frequencies of light are at opposite ends of the spectrum with the white light band width of frequencies being but a part of the total spectrum of light. In my view science’s understanding of light is very limited to only the few frequencies we can currently perceive. It is my view that the spiritual world and the physical world are polar opposites and, also in my view, both worlds or realities are critical to each other. In fact, I will assert that one cannot exist without the other, like heads and tails of a coin they inhabit the same space, but you will be blind to one side whilst looking at the other... In fact, in my view, the physical reality creates space necessary for the spiritual reality. For a reality without substance needs no room in which to be, which is the very reason I will argue the spiritual world depends on the physical. I will also argue, and attempt to demonstrate, that the physical reality originally came into existence simply as a spiritual idea. My use of the word “idea” suggests a profound intelligence and mankind being mankind will immediately leap to the assumption that intelligence requires “thought”. In my view that isn’t the case. It is my view that thought in the form of language is a by-product of the brain’s true function… Read on and I explain in the next few paragraphs… But let us stay with light for now. So, the two sides of the coin are equally as important to each other to create the whole. The opposite to light is dark according to our perceived physical reality. Well, a place absent of white light is dark, but that area is not empty of light, simply the frequency of white light. Science can show us now that with technology we can see in an area absent of white light by focussing on infrared. In the darkness of the reality we know so well, if we alter perspective slightly and tune into another frequency we can see a different reality to the one our primary sense is accustomed to. Now, if I am right and the frequencies of light are infnite, the potential realities of physical and spiritual world’s are infnite. It is my opinion, the spiritual world and physical world are mirror images, it is just one has substance and the other doesn’t, thus the range of reality in the spiritual world are equally as vast. The point in explaining light in this fashion is to make the spiritual and scientifc point that if we were tuned to the world through, let us say for example the infrared frequency, white light wouldn’t be visible. We need to look to refections in the physical world to understand the refections in the spiritual. The truth is, of course, that the truth can be found in every perspective, which after reading further into this text you will appreciate fully how crazy yet sane that statement is… Science hasn’t made that leap yet, but, in my opinion, it will. I believe science will also identify the frequency of the soul and it will be at that point science and spirituality embark on the exploration of truth hand in hand. Not only will science learn to respect spirituality, but there will be a profound harmony between the two that should always have been. Whilst we are discussing light, I would like to just take a moment to share another idea with you where I can use white light as a visual analogy and draw
9
a picture of why mankind is perceived as a superior intelligence in this physical reality: Why is it that mankind has a higher perceived intelligence than, let’s say a dolphin? Science has proven that dolphins think, that they rationalise and make decisions and there is growing evidence we have underestimated the intelligence of many other life forms on this planet. In my view, what sets us apart is creativity. I’ll explain my theory: imagine white light. As mentioned before, white light contains the frequencies of red, green and blue and in addition science has now discovered the frequencies of infrared and x-rays. In this way we can use the image of white light as an analogy for my idea that the primary function of the brain is as a receiver and transceiver of frequencies so our senses can make sense of our physical reality with controlling physical actions a sub function and thought a by-product of creativity. I’ll explain: now let us consider man’s place in nature. We are physically weak in comparison to other creatures and our senses appear less sharp, less effcient than other creatures. Consider the hearing of a fox, for instance, and the sight of an eagle. These creatures are far more effective in the wild of nature. Consider the dolphin in its environment? It is perfectly suited for life in the sea… Whilst man, in comparison, is physically awkward in comparison – just my opinion ;) Man stands up straight on two legs and cannot run fast, see very far or hear effciently, in comparison to the other life forms that surround us. So my theory is, we see the brain as a thinking organ, whilst I will argue the brain is a receiver transmitter and that thought is a by-product of the brain’s true function. The fox and the dolphin live in a very narrow frequency, but within that frequency they are perfectly designed to function with maximum effciency. Imagine the fox being perfectly tuned to red light wavelength and the dolphin to blue light wavelength. They are perfectly tuned to a very narrow linear wavelength. Now man, being physically less effcient, developed a brain that could cross frequencies. Man’s brain can tune into red, green and blue and the brain can also receive information from a huge range of other frequencies. In short, imagine man is tuned to white light whilst all other life is limited to one or two wavelengths? My theory is that because we can tune into a far broader set of frequencies and mix our perceptions this gives us the creativity which has set us well apart and it is the reason for man’s alarming biological success. Just as an interesting spiritual sub-note: in the analogy I spoke of the fox being tuned to a different frequency than the dolphin. When we consider the diversity of the environments in which they live we understand their realities are very different and yet they inhabit the same ball of matter. It will never be necessary for one to know the other exists. Just another refection of what we can expect in the spiritual reality. Now, my own defnition of intelligence: So it is my opinion thought is a byproduct of creativity and that man’s creativity is a consequence of receiving a broader range of frequency than other organic life forms. It is my view true intelligence is awareness of purpose… Words are too feeble to convey my meaning, so I will offer you an image: a baby will reach for a Mother’s breast, not from a process of reasoned thought, but an awareness of a need for the food the breast provides to fulfl a purpose. The intelligence is
10
simple, yet profound and not one word of human language has been processed by the brain. I offer you another image of profound intelligence at work: a sperm racing thousands of other sperm to reach an egg and wriggle inside. The DNA of the sperm and the egg begin the creation of another separate biological being that is a repeat pattern of the two parent beings, yet with unique individuality. The intelligence pre-programmed into those two tiny cells is awesome, and that same pre-programmed intelligence created you to a very specifc pattern, each strand of DNA instructing and organising new cells into fngers and toes etc… There is an awareness of the part each cell must play in the complex drama being played out and nine times out of ten they remember their lines perfectly. Again, we see awareness and purpose at work. In my opinion, the universe was created exactly the same way and it is the intelligence of simple awareness that creates everything and drives everything. Repeated patterns working in perfect harmony and symmetry all born from an awareness and purpose that all originated with an “idea”. I label the origin an “idea” for want of a better commonly understood word. So, back to my theory: thought, as we perceive thought in a particular language, is a by-product of our creativity. The problem with this by-product is it has caused us to lose confdence in our awareness, whilst our awareness, I will argue, is our primary intelligence. Also, in my opinion, the thought process of words corrupts the truth. I’ll explain: words are labels that limit the potential of the labelled subject to an interpretation of that word by the experience of the individual, thus favours are lost in misinterpretation and misunderstanding. To clarify: two people can look at the same view from exactly the same perspective and the description in words might be very different whilst their awareness and appreciation could be the same – again, I explore this subject in greater detail in part two, where I focus of conscience and love... Yet, everyone will have a different perspective on everything as their life experience and specifc interests will colour their view, so I will now move on to talking more about the reality we know on this wonderful planet Earth… The Planet Earth: Home Sweet Home. We are currently hurtling through space at 67,000 miles an hour! Phew! And if that isn’t enough, we are also spinning at a speed of a little over 1000 miles per hour! Goodness, guys and gals! Hang on to your hats! Science will explain how gravity and the Earth’s atmosphere protect us from being blown away by the shear force of the speed we are travelling and I embrace all the scientifc explanations. It is fact. It is the truth. It is also true that the physical brain through the sense of sight only perceives speed at short distances. If we are travelling along a road in a car at 70 miles per hour watching the trees beside the road as the car passes by, we realise we are travelling very fast, but if we then change our focus and watch trees maybe 500 yards away, we will sense we are travelling far more slowly. The truth is we would be travelling at exactly the same speed. Our brain’s perception is quite radically altered by a slight tweak in perspective. So, can we conclude our perception of our physical reality changes according to our perspective? This is very interesting ground spiritually, and why I often Tweet my own quote ‘The
11
truth lies in every perspective’, because here we see evidence that we cannot trust our brain. It is not that the brain is bad or malfunctioning, it is simply how it processes information. Okay, nothing new there, and the purpose of this text is not to give you a science lesson. The purpose of this text is to offer a deeper spiritual insight on the science. The brain wraps our reality in illusion. Speed is only relevant to the brain’s immediate environment. Another obvious example of the illusion is the Earth’s orbit of the Sun. Who can blame the ignorant for placing Galileo under house arrest because he asserted the Earth orbited the Sun? The guy was clearly mad! It was considered utter nonsense to suggest the Earth was turning and that was why the Sun moved across the sky because we have absolutely no sense of the Earth turning at over 1000 miles per hour. Until science proved the Earth’s rotation and the Earth’s orbit we were ignorant of the truth and living under an illusion. I repeat, speed is only relevant to the brain’s immediate environment. So what can the spiritual perspective offer us on the other side of the coin? Stillness. The soul exists in an apparent stillness – I use the word apparent because an analogy would be much like a pond where the water appears still, yet there are strong undercurrents. Science will talk about mass and distance and the relationship with time with all kinds of complex mathematical equations, which do fascinate me, but whenever I read a scientifc explanation of light speed etc… I have always expanded my imagination to try and change my perspective to see with greater clarity. When science discusses light speed, it always seems unnecessary to start explaining how it will take 30 billion light years to cross the universe. My brain simply cannot grasp the signifcance of the statement and ceases to function – a bit like a computer freezing and in desperate need of a reboot! The concept is simply too vast for me to comprehend. So I change perspective. In this case I imagine myself as twenty times the size of the universe. In fact I imagine the universe as a pebble on a beach. I can then pick up that pebble and hurl it out to sea if I wished and that would only take me a second. A second would also be the time it takes for my fnger to rub along the full length or width of the surface of the pebble and if I threw it hard enough at another pebble I could possibly break it in half and have a good look inside at what would appear to be, in my opinion, solid mass. But the point to this image is, relative to my new size the universe as a pebble exists in static stillness. It is only an image to help me comprehend and is not scientifc fact, but the perspective does offer interesting insights. Two points to note that will substantially alter perspective again are: It is only a relative stillness created by the size/mass differential and we need to remember, in my opinion, the soul has no mass, therefore it has no size and it occupies no space. Interestingly, could a consequence of having no mass and occupying no space mean there isn’t a creation of time…? My perspective is that physical matter exists purely to create the space for frequencies without substance, such as the soul, to occupy. I would argue that the brain is simply a tool for the soul and the frequencies the brain is capable of receiving go way beyond what science is currently able to prove today. I will leave you with that thought and we will keep returning to it as it is a repeated pattern running through all my theories and/or perspectives. So the Earth orbits the Sun, the source of light and heat that enables life ‘as science currently knows it’ on Earth, and the Moon orbits the Earth, creating a magnetic attraction that drives our oceans, and thus the world goes round, literally. The consequence of all this movement is night and day; spring,
12
summer, autumn, winter. Year in year out we experience the sets of repeated patterns. The Earth, Sun and Moon create patterns of perfect symmetry, as does every Sun and planet in the greater universes. Science can prove this to us. There is a constant movement of repeated patterns all working in perfect symmetry and all driven by enormous forces. Science is discovering more and more facts about the forces at work. Science has even identifed sub-atomic particles yet to be discovered and identifed planets we cannot see. They have been able to identify these body masses because of a physical reaction in the environment to the mass that means it must exist. This is very interesting from a spiritual perspective. I believe science should accept the soul exists in much the same way that science cannot prove the existence of the Higgs boson yet, but science generally agrees it has to exist due to the physical reaction it causes in its quantum environment. I would argue the soul plays a very similar role in life. I would argue the soul is the glue of the individual, the family and the wider community… I’m getting ahead of myself here as I will deal with my scientifc and spiritual perspective of conscience and love in part two… ( As a sub-note, the Higgs boson could prove to be the missing link in my theory with regard the reality of substance and the reality of non-substance – In my opinion, discovery of the Higgs boson could in itself bring together the spiritual and scientifc communities – Now that would be glue!). Okay, back to reality (tongue in cheek with a wink). So these perfectly repeated, perfectly symmetrical patterns can be seen in all matter. From the perfect symmetry of the planets orbiting, to the perfectly repeated pattern of each fower, to the fve fngers and fve toes on each of your two hands and two feet, to each biological cell that makes up the physical body that represents you, to the perfect symmetry of sub-atomic particles. There is one key element to note, each pattern, although repeated is also perfectly and uniquely individual. I offer you the image of a diamond turning slowly in a single beam of light. Each facet sparkle’s its own unique colour (I use the word ‘colour’ metaphorically) and never is a particular colour repeated, yet the beauty of the diamond remains perfect and even though no one facet ever repeats a unique colour the diamond remains whole. This is because each facet is important to the whole, but no facet is wholly important. All the patterns in nature and the greater universe work on the same principle. The spiritual world mirrors that same diamond… Hold on to the image of the diamond turning in a single beam of light. Each facet sparkle’s unique colour and is gone… Now imagine each facet is an individual soul adding its own uniqueness to the whole impression of the diamond. The diamond turns and the colours sparkle from a myriad of facets and each are unique and even though the pattern is perfectly repeated the uniqueness of each individual sparkle is never repeated. But the diamond is solid. There are layers upon layers upon layers of facets, each surfacing now and then to sparkle before returning deeper into the whole. Now imagine that we change the word ‘sparkle’ to ‘life experience’ and know that the diamond has always been complete and there is no more and no less of that diamond than has ever been…This is a big concept to grasp so let us stand back and just visualise for a moment… The diamond becomes a group of faces, the faces becomes a city, the city a continent, then Earth. We stand back further and the Earth becomes our solar system and we stand back further and the
13
solar system becomes the universe… The further we stand back the clearer it is to see and the further we stand back the slower all movement is occurring… Now remember the soul exists in apparent stillness, and note I use the word ‘apparent’ again. This is because the spiritual world, like the physical world, is a perceived illusion bound to a particular perspective… Now, let us go back to the diamond and change our perspective. Looking at it from above it appears to be round, forming the perfect circle. A circle has no beginning and no end. A circle is also something, yet represents nothing when viewed as a zero. The Earth is round, as is the Sun as are all the planets. And each round ball of matter is orbiting in circular cycles. My belief is science will discover the universe is round as is the collective galactic universes and as we stand back further they will appear as round pebbles on a beach (sorry, the beach and pebble analogy again!). Each pebble is an individual pebble, yet it is one beach. And each pebble completes the beach. Each pebble important to the whole, but no pebble is wholly important. We are seeing that the further we stand back, the clearer our spiritual view and the greater our spiritual comprehension. But for science it is necessary to focus in very close, for it is the fne detail we can gain greater scientifc understanding. Spiritual Recycling: Let us return to the circle: we can see in life and in science that everything is working to a circular pattern and we can see that a circle has no beginning and no end. How then does the linear life span of organic matter work in the scientifc and spiritual equation? Well, we know how organic matter returns to the soil to feed the plants that feeds the cows etc… We know how the oceans recycle, forming clouds to fall as rain and water the land etc… But how does the soul recycle? Well, just how does something without substance recycle? In my opinion, the answer is a simple one: at the point of what we physically term death, the soul returns to the reality of no substance taking with it the uniqueness of that particular physical life. The uniqueness of that life is coloured by the experience of the life lived and a shadow of the physical appearance is carried across due to a perception the soul will continue to have of its self. However that shadow of perceived individuality is a consequence of residual ego. When the soul recycles back to substance again the image changes to refect new colour, or, in this case, a new face. So why would the soul desire to return to a physical linear existence if the soul’s natural home is non-substance? Because non-substance needs substance to create the space to be. If I am right, then reincarnation isn’t only a spiritual concept, it is the reason for life itself. And let us step further towards this idea. There appears to be little intelligent point in recycling the soul to experience the same physical existence over and over again, so the idea makes sense of my analogy of the diamond turning in a single beam of light with each facet refecting new and unique colour, with no refection ever repeated… Let us consider for a moment that I have proven scientifcally the world without substance needs the reality of substance, then the reverse is also true…
14
I will attempt to clarify what I mean by a reality of non-substance and how the soul carries across a refection of ego. I’m going to offer the image of an ocean. Each drop of water adds to the whole, but it is one ocean. In effect the ocean could be termed one drop of water. If you dip your fnger in the whole ocean, you can take a drop and that drop of water will appear unique on your fnger. It will carry the colour of your skin and will bend the light to magnify skin texture. Possibly there are impurities on your fnger that become as one with the drop of water. Then you let that drop of water fall back into the ocean and it immediately becomes one with the ocean again, only it now carries something of you with it to add a new uniqueness, a new colour if your like, to the whole. The reality of no substance is, in my view, very much the same. An ocean is many millions of drops of water and it is one drop. Each soul is individually unique, yet we are all one. This is the end of part 1… Part 2 will focus on a conscience and love, both huge scientifc and spiritual subjects, and there will be parts 3, 4, 5 etc each dealing with other substance and non-substance perspectives that make our world literally go round… All the parts will make up the whole book and will be available as individual parts as they are completed. As a sub-note, I would like to comment on semantics. We all defne words slightly differently. I am always happy to defne the meaning behind the words I use. For example, a scientist wanted to debate a statement I had made: ‘our perception of truth changes with perspective’. He argued ‘our perspective cannot change the truth of Newton’s law of movement etc...’ I agree completely with regard my use of the words ‘truth’ and ‘perspective’. One of Newton’s law’s states that for every action there is an opposite and equal reaction. But I also incorporated the word ‘perception’, which changes the semantic context. A fundamental truth, in my opinion, is two sides of the same coin. We can appreciate the coin has two sides, but our perception can only be of one side at a time. That was my point. Teaching relaxation and meditation - By Linzi Martin
March 2011
Teaching relaxation and meditation skills to children - my first experience To help with Study, pre-exam stress and sleep I was until this recent experience a teacher for adults, offering advice to achieve a better life-work balance and those suffering sleep disruption. When I had the opportunity to work with children, teaching them relaxation and meditation skills I was thrilled. Yet I was also anxious having never taught children and having none myself to seek advice from. The head of year of the school was concerned that these young students/borders living away from home were starting to experience preexamination/study stress as well as sleep problems. These youngsters were 11 - 13 year old female students who attend a prestigious private Catholic school. It was with some trepidation that I wondered what they would think of my Buddhist / Pagan affiliations. However, I was pleasantly surprised with the open minded attitude they embraced. I prefer to introduce learners to a range of meditation/relaxation techniques, coming from an experiential basis, learning to focus, to be present 'in the moment'. So here I was with only a 50 minute session for each group in which to capture their attention, learn some enjoyable, practical skills and techniques to cope with these new life stresses. However, this was also my journey of discovery, of expanding my awareness and questioning my own beliefs and limitations on how and what to impart to these young people. I spoke with a school Chaplain who told me the buzz word at the moment in schools was 'well being' and that mindfulness meditation was gaining credibility as part of the 'well being' programme. Some schools are running pilot programmes teaching mindfulness as a way to help reduce study and exam stress. There appears to be positive results. As we know, the attitude in most UK academic establishments is, 'If it 'aint proven to get them scores higher then it 'aint worth doing'. So, hopefully we look forward to meditation becoming a more common part of the school activities. After brain storming of ideas, I decided upon a format which included some aspects taken from mindfulness but without expecting the youngsters to be still for any length of time. Here is an abridged version (applied to groups of 20 - 27 students). 1. I ask the students to think of a time when they were feeling stressed, to recall how they were physically and emotionally. I played higher energy music as they walk around the room, not smiling and avoiding one another. Then we shake out the body bringing some fun into the movement. I explain that non competitive physical movement helps to clear away the stress hormones and often brings a lightness into your life. 2. We rub our palms together to generate some warmth and energy, then place the palms over the eyes. This leads to a soothing and calming of the eyes and brain. It improves concentration and alleviation of tension. 3. Smile at others around the room with your eyes and smile from the heart. This lightens the atmosphere
16
and a smile is often reflected back to us. A smile is a global expression of acceptance, friendship and breaks down barriers. The world would be a happier place if more people genuinely smiled. 4. Practice standing still and quiet as a tree with your feet growing roots, feeling grounded. The upper body like the branches that move in the breeze. Described using the different senses (hear breeze, see colours, feel texture, leaves, bark, smell freshness, taste pure clean air in the mouth) as part of the visualisation. To go/move with the flow, as in nature so in life. 5. Our busy mind thoughts can be likened to 'Chattering monkeys'. This can lead us to feel distracted, tired, grumpy, confused, maybe headaches, stressed and anxious. This is my twist on a Buddhist idea. Visualise a bag outside the room. Ask the chattering monkeys to get out of your head and to play in this bag. See this happening. Helps improve sleep. Do the visualisation if you have a busy, cluttered or anxious mind before going to bed. 6. Breath awareness from the belly (lower dan tian, hara, chakra). We place our palms there and focus for a while using the exhalation as the relaxation breath. Then introduce a simple breathing techniques to relax, calm and aid sleep. Breathe in for a count of 4, pause, breathe out for a count of 4 pause. Repeat for 5 minutes minimum. During this time I play a sound recording that I created of a gong with gentle running river water, it calms the mind and body, especially useful in preparation for sleep time. I designed a poster of a large tree and cheeky monkeys which have climbed into a bag. The students are invited to write one or two words that describe their experience of the session example, 'relax my mind', 'calm', 'smiles', as a reminder for them individually when they pass the poster displayed in their social room. I have briefly heard back from the head of year that the students have really enjoyed their sessions. I hope this experience has sewn a seed of awareness as part of their LIFE SKILLS.
I've contacted another school with a view to incorporating relaxation and qi gong techniques into their Well Being programme and am looking forward to working with their older students in a few months time. What a learning curve it is to teach others and how honoured I feel in being part of that. Cyprus - The birthplace of Aphrodite The highest point on Cyprus is Mount Olympus at 1,952 m (6,404 feet), located in the center of the Troodos range. One of the unique features of Cyprus' habitats is the wild and sharp differences in elevations and habitats in different parts of the island as well as different climate conditions, all of which supply a diverse habitat for a unique array of fauna and flora. The number of plant species and subspecies of wild plant in Cyprus is possibly in the thousands, many of them being endemic. Wildlife can be seen in Troodos Mountains, Larnaca salt lake, Akrotiri salt lake and undoubtedly Akamas national park. Cyprus is home to Cyprus Moufflon which is a national symbol of the country.
he Republic of Cyprus is Eurasian island country in the Eastern Mediterranean. The earliest known human activity on the island dates back to around the 10th millennium BC. Archaeological remains from this period include the well-preserved Neolithic village of Choirokoitia (also known as Khirokitia), which has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, along with the Tombs of the Kings. Cyprus is home to some of the oldest water wells in the world dated at 9,000 to 10,500 years old, and is also the site of the earliest known example
Cyprus has a Subtropical Mediterranean climate and Semi-arid type with very mild winters (on the coast) and warm to hot summers. Snow is possible only in the Troodos Mountains in the central part of island. Rain occurs mainly in winter, with summer being generally dry. Coastal of Cyprus is one of the few places in Europe which are green all year round. Cyprus relies heavily on rain to provide household water and for many years now, the average annual rainfall seemed to be falling. The country has two official languages: Greek and Turkish. However, according to surveys, 76% of the population of Cyprus speak English, 12% speak French, and 5% speak German.

The art history of Cyprus can be said to stretch back up to 10,000 years, following the discovery of a series of Chalcolithic period carved figures in the villages of Khoirokoitia and Lempa. The island is also the home to numerous examples of high quality religious icon painting from the Middle Ages. Cypriot architecture was heavily influenced by French Gothic and Italian
Cyprus had been occupied by several major powers, including the empires of the Hittites, Assyrians, Egyptians, Persians, Rashiduns, Umayyads, Lusignans, Venetians and Ottomans. Settled by Mycenean Greeks in the 2nd millennium BC, the island also experienced long periods of Greek rule under the homogeneous Ptolemy and the Byzantines. In 333 B.C., Alexander the Great liberated the island from the Persians. The Ottoman Empire conquered the island in 1571 and it remained under Ottoman control for over three centuries. It was placed under British administration in 1878 until it was granted independence in 1960, becoming a member of the Commonwealth the following year. Cyprus is the third largest island in the Mediterranean. The physical relief of the island is dominated by two mountain ranges, the Troodos Mountains and the smaller Kyrenia Range, and the central plain they encompass, the Mesaoria.

Literary production of the antiquity includes the Cypria, an epic poem, probably composed in the late seventh century BC and attributed to Stasinus. The Cypria is one of the very first specimens of Greek and European poetry. The Cypriot Zeno of Citium was the founder of the Stoic School of Philosophy. Epic poetry, notably the acritic songs, flourished during middle ages. Why Cyprus? It is an Island! But there are more reasons than that. Nicosia is the capital of Cyprus, a status it has enjoyed for 1000 years since the 10th century, though its beginnings date back 5000 years to the Bronze Age. It lies roughly in the centre of the island in the Mesaoria Plain. The capital presents two distinct faces: the old, original part of the city, surrounded by sturdy Venetian walls over 400 years old, and a busy modern metropolis. Within the large area encircled by the strong bastion walls that served to protect the town for centuries are many places of great historic interest. There are museums, monasteries, ancient ruins, art and architecture and craft centres to visit. Limassol Limassol is the second biggest town of Cyprus. and legend has it that the first settlement at the spot was founded by Noah's grandson Khittim. But the name Larnaca probably comes from the Greek word Larnax, which means sarcophagus many of which have been unearthed in this area. The town's heyday was as an ancient city kingdom established by the Mycenean Greeks in the 13th century BC, when it enjoyed the dual position of rich sea port and major centre of the copper trade. Remains of that period excavated in recent years can be seen in its Cyclopean walls and a complex of Mycenean temples at the ancient Kition site. Birthplace of the stoic philosopher Zeno, Larnaca was also the second home of St. Lazarus. Paphos The charming west coast town of Paphos focuses around an attractive little harbour whose picturesque open air fish restaurants line a quayside of bright fishing boats and pleasure craft. Paphos nestles in the lee of the Western Troodos Mountains, which add another dimension to this area of scenic beauty. The recent addition of its own international airport nearby has opened up the Paphos area, and the resort is graced with some luxury hotels along the coastline.

Paphos is entwined with Greek mythology, and the legendary birth of Aphrodite on her shores brought fame and worshippers there to follow the cult of the Goddess. Landmarks associated with Aphrodite are the chunky, rugged rocks of her beautiful birth shore known as the Aphrodite Rocks or Petra tou Romiou, the evocative sanctuary of Aphrodite at Kouklia Village, one-time shrine and scene of pagan festivals for thousands, the Baths of Aphrodite at Polis, supposed source of fertility and the Fountain of Love, or Fontana Amorosa, a few miles further into the Akamas Peninsula. Even the town's name is linked to the Goddess, for Paphos was the name of the

The charming scenery includes the tiny fishing harbour of Ayia Napa, and the medieval monastery in the heart of the village, the wind mills and small churches in the surrounding villages, which spread out in the area of Paralimni and Protaras. This region, which is the main potatoproducing area on the island, is known as Kokkinochoria which means red-soil villages. Indeed, the soil of the whole area is deep red in colour, due to very high metal oxide content. The villages of this area are equally known for their folkpoets, who are in fact regarded as the best on the island. Cyprus under the Knights Templars mythological daughter of Venus and Pygmalion. Paphos became the capital of Cyprus under the successors of Alexander the Great, the Ptolemy's and in those days its harbour was a busy, thriving port. It continued as the island's first city for more than seven centuries, retaining its importance under Roman rule. But Paphos history dates back a great deal further. In fact the whole area abounds in historical and archaeological treasures. Troodos Nine Byzantine churches in the Troodos Mountains are included in the official UNESCO list of cultural treasures of the World's heritage. The impressive Troodos mountain range stretches across most of the western side of Cyprus, offering cool sanctuary and idyllic hours spent in long walks in its scented pine forests in summer and winter sports and skiing in winter. The area has been known since ancient times for its mines, and in the Byzantine period it became a great centre of Byzantine art. Troodos itself is full of the rich profusion of flora and fauna found on attractive walks, which attract many visitors every year. There are lots to see and do in these mountains. Famagusta Famagusta was founded in 300 BC and was known as Arsinoe. There are golden sandy beaches of the Famagusta district, stretching out in the eastern corner of the island. The popular holiday making centres of Ayia Napa and Paralimni have been called a veritable paradise for anyone who loves the sea and water sports.

The Knights Templars formed one of the three great military orders of knighthood, founded in the twelfth century to protect the pilgrims who flocked to Jerusalem after the First Crusade. At the head of the order was the Master of the Temple at Jerusalem until 1291, when, on the fall of the Latin kingdom, the headquarters of the order moved to Cyprus. The history of the Templars and their connection with the island of Cyprus ends in the year 1571, long after the Order had vanished as a formal institution. It was in this year that Ottoman Turks overran the island and the Templar archives were destroyed. The loss of this archive was a devastating loss. Had those documents survived, they could have answered many questions relating to the history and mystery surrounding the Templars.

MEDITATION - Dheeraj Bhoma
MEDITATION Mantra recitation ram ram 15th century India has given us so many saints like kabirdas ji, Raidasji, Rahimdasji, Dariyaji, Meera etc. These saints follow Ram and Krishna as GOD. What does Ram mean here? It's not the Ram of Ramayana epic about which we all know. Ram here is a divine name who doesn't have a body or is an idol. Recitation of Ram Ram can send us in deep meditation state. Through continue recitation we can go in to deep meditation. However, merely recitation cannot do this work, we have to follow a correct process. Without following a process we will only recite but nothing will happen to us. The procedure: Do this meditation on an empty stomach especially in the early morning hours. Before warm up It will be better to do some physical warm-up exercises and Pranayam. It is my own experience. Start Pranayam from 'kapalbhati'. In kapalbhati we have to exhale our breathe by squeezing our stomach. Do it for 10 minutes. Then 'Anulom Vilom' for 5 minutes. Meditation Sit in a 'Sukhasana'. Cross your legs, close your eyes. Now start 'Ram Ram' recitation through your throat in a whispering manner. Whispering here does not mean talking to each other. Whispering means, during recitation your voice should come only from your throat like a whisper. It's a basic rule of this meditation and important also. Second rule is to breathe deeply through your lungs, not through your stomach. When you breathe deeply your chest should fill all air and the stomach should contract. Recitation of 'Ram Ram' will continue with deep breath inhaling and exhaling. It should not break. There should not be any space between 'Ram Ram'. When you inhale it will take 5 seconds, during this time you should recite at least 11 to 15 times. When you exhale, it will take 8 seconds. Time may vary according from person to person. After few minutes it will become Rhythmic. After 20 minutes you will feel the vibrations in your palm, hands and legs. Its normal feelings and you should favour this. Don't stop recitation in any manner. Vibrations will improve; it will spread to your entire body. It shows your kundalini is waking up. On your stomach, chest, neck and head you will feel very smooth and gentle vibrations circulating. Your neck and spinal cord will be straight forward automatically, showing that the kundalini is going upward and the circles representing all chakras are activating now. After a while you may start crying but don't stop reciting. Some people may feel lighter than air. They may feel that their hands and body is moving upward. It is a good feeling. After some time you may see a bright orange light between your eyes. Just watching that light is a great experience. You will never want to come out of it. This completes the meditation. You can do this any time any place but on an empty stomach that will be helpful. After completion, relax for 15 minutes in 'Shawasana' pose or simply lay down on the bed. It will store your energy in the body. Dheeraj Bhoma (dheerajbhoma@yahoo.com)

How do the 10 commandments fit into Kabbalah? From Betty: I'm new to my spiritual studies and can't help but notice the coincidence between the ten commandments, the ten Sefirot and Mount Sinai. Am I just confusing myself more than I need to? Inspirations from Binah: It is said that when Moses came down from Mount Sinai, he brought down the 10 Commandments and the entire written Torah, the first five books of the Old Testament. Concealed within the Torah is the blueprint for creation, the foundation of the Kabbalah. Therefore, it can be said that the 10 Commandments are a shorthand version for those that need easier rules to follow. Of course, none of the commandments are as easy to follow as they may at first appear, since true wisdom comes when you have mastered knowledge and

Five Elemental Principles - By Dr. Talavane Krishna
March 2011
Five Elemental Principles (Panch Maha Bhutas) egend says that Lord Shiva at the end of his divine cosmic dance gave the secret of creation to the sages by sounding the drum or (Damaru) drumbeat, nine times and then five times. With their extra ordinary perception and wisdom the sages understood the meaning of this message. The sounding of the drum nine times and five times represented the nine planetary forces and the five times represented the five elemental principles. These forces and principles control, operate and guide everything in the universe. The five elemental principles that form the building blocks for all material existence are; Ether or Space, Air, Fire, Water and Earth. They saw the harmonious connection and complex interplay between energy and matter. This fundamental knowledge later became the basis for the sciences of Ayurveda, Jyothish (Astrology) and Vaastu (Vedic science of placement and construction). Jyotish describes the logistics of the planetary forces and how they operate and influence our life. Ayurveda tells us in what proportion and through which elements those forces function for optimum health. Vaastu guides us in harmonizing these energies through structures and design. When these forces are allowed to express and operate optimally, a perfect natural order gets established. Thus, the three sciences are the knowledge base for holistic understanding of our existence and wellness. According to Vedas, there is nothing beyond these five elemental principles in the physical world. Under varying conditions these principles attract, repel, bind and blend with one another in unending ways, in a cosmic dance. Being in tune with this dance is the secret of health and wellness.
in motion. When the movement becomes intense, the Fire (Agni) principle evolves. It is the principle behind all the metabolic activities and synthesis and assimilation of information. It expresses as heat in the non-sentient and an energy flow. From the Fire principle, the water principle (Jal) is evolved. One may wonder how water (liquid principle) comes from fire. The basic knowledge of physics tells us that when Hydrogen (air principle) burns (fire principle) water is produced! Also intense heat liquefies any matter. From the liquid (Jal) principle the Earth (Solid) principle is evolved. These five principles, which are the building blocks of the physical Universe, do not exist as individual entities. They are always intertwined and may appear predominantly as one or the other principle. Our body, mind and spirit are also made up of these five principles both at the grosser (physical), subtler (Astral) and causal (Spirit) levels. Our five sense objects, that is, ears, skin, eyes, tongue and nose and their underlying subtler functions, sound, touch, vision, taste and smell are governed by the following elemental principles. Sound by Space, touch by Air, vision by Fire, taste by Water and smell by Earth. Tri-Doshas This means: three governing principles, which govern the entire physiology and psychology of every living being. They are called Vata, Pitta and Kapha. Vata is made up of Space and Air: it governs all the movements and thoughts.
The Vedas explains that Ether (Akash) is the pure space that manifests first from the pure consciousness. But this pure space is not empty; it is full of particles. As sub atomic physics explains, the very first manifestation of matter is both a wave and a particle, depending on the observer's point of view, changing from energy to matter and matter to energy in less than a trillionth of a second. Our mind and thoughts are comparable to this first elemental principle, Ether or Space.
Seven Dhatus
When Ether gets more dense, atoms and molecules are produced. This principle is called Air (Vaayu). Air principle should not be confused with gases like, Oxygen, Hydrogen Nitrogen or any such other gasses. They are all just a part of the air principle. The air principle is actually the movement. Even thinking and moving from one thought to another is the air principle
Human body is made up of seven vital tissues called Dhatus. Dhatu in Sanskrit means 'that, which binds together'. These are: life sap or equivalent to plasma or lymphatic fluid (rasa), blood (rakta), muscles (mamsa), fatty tissue (medha), bones (asthi), bone marrow and nervous tissue (majja) and semen and reproductive system (shukra).
23
Pitta is made up of Fire and Water: it governs all the metabolic activities and synthesis and assimilation of thoughts. Kapha is made up of Water and Earth: it governs all the adhesion, lubrication and emotions.
Five Elemental Principles - By Dr. Talavane Krishna Each of these Dhatus gets converted from one to the other starting from the first Dhatu, Rasa. The conversion process takes place through the action of a particular Dhatu Agni (fire) Agni in this context means the metabolic activity supported by a particular hormone or amino acid and the metabolic sequence for this conversion is very specific and happens in a very orderly manner. Proper Agni is very important for this process and to be healthy. Under normal circumstances it takes thirty days from the intake of food to be converted to the final Dhatu Sukra. However there is one exception to this. That is cow's milk. Milk gets converted to Sukra Dhatu within 24 hours. Note here: (Cow in Sanskrit is pronounced as GOU. Gou means Jnana (true wisdom/consciousness) In the Vedic culture the cow is respected as a very holy animal and is being worshipped in the Hindu culture. This has the most profound and deeper meaning. It is both physical and spiritual. Unless the meaning and purpose of one's life is understood at the cosmic level it is difficult to comprehend this statement. Cow is also known as Kama Dhenu, meaning one who fulfils all the desires. The desire in Sanskrit is called Kama. Kama is the subtle essence of the final 7th Dhatu called Sukra. This Dhatu is very important for fulfilling one's physical desires. When there is enough Sukra Dhatu in the body, the subtler transformation of this Dhatu, which operates at the astral and casual level, is known as Ojas. The quantity of ojas in each person's body is only a few drops. When there is deficiency of Ojas in the body, the person looses both inner and outer beauty and succumbs to terminal diseases. AIDS is one disease where the Ojas is totally depleted. There is no other food, which gets converted straight to Sukra Dhatu without going through the other six Dhatus. This is the reason why a cow is called Kama Dhenu. Since the true purpose of Kama is attainment of self-realization, cow is, in reality the giver of selfknowledge. This was understood by the sages in their silence. These sages were called Rishis. Rishi means, one who speaks the truth. Lord Krishna in the Hindu mythology is always portrayed being with a cow. Vedas also mention that all the demigods reside in a cow's body. Hence, a cow is worshipped. When the cow's milk is fermented we get Yogurt (curds) then butter and finally ghee (clarified butter). In Ayurveda all these products are used in various therapies and as medicines. An animal, which plays such a vital role in one's life at all levels of existence, is without a doubt worthy of being worshiped or revered. Cow's urine and dung is used in many medicines and as natural manure for farming. Slaughtering, torturing a cow is unthinkable to anyone who understands the meaning and purpose of life.

Three Malas Mala means waste product. There are three types of Malas: Urine, Faeces and Sweat. When these waste products are properly eliminated, a person will maintain good health. Whenever there is a blockage of channels, or the improper digestion due to low Agni, the waste products accumulate in the body as Ama (toxins). This is the reason why people fall sick and suffer from various diseases. These toxins are not just physical. They are also of subtler types of the mind and emotions. Ayurveda and Yoga have the best answers to get these Malas excreted properly. Despite proper life style and health, one still accumulates toxins in the body due to aging process, climate changes and various physical and mental activities. Once in a while, at regular intervals Ayurveda recommends a thorough cleansing through Panchakarmas and Rejuvenation protocols. This is like a periodic servicing of a car by washing, greasing and changing the oil. Panchakarmas are the most beautiful way of removing both physical and mental toxins. Toxins enter and accumulate in our body and mind in many different ways and in different parts of the body. A thorough examination by a Vaidya or a medical practitioner through pulse diagnosis and other methods will identify the various toxins lodged in different parts of the body, both physical and mental. The entrances, path treaded by the toxins and where they are lodged are clearly identified by the Vaidya. Once this is complete, an individualized Panchakarma treatment is administered. The medications administered follow the same path the toxins have entered and lodged in the body and mind. They go and bind to these toxins and are later removed delicately through the same path that they have entered and treaded. Once the treatment is complete the person feels very fresh and renewed. After the Panchakarmas Rasayanas are given, this could be in the form of different herbal preparations or therapies in an Ayurvedic Centre. Having gotten cleansed these rejuvenative procedures work very effectively and make the person, feel healthier and younger looking. The Panchakarma and rejuvenation procedures have withstood the test of time for more than five millennia. Only recently there has been a growing, renewed interest in this subject and people from all over the world are recognising its benefit. Modern medical community too is getting involved as well.

Cosmic Light - By poetess Katerina Kostaki
Cosmic Light Lovelier and brighter. You aren't to blame That what is lovely is lost Time is to blame For it has covered you With its invisible veil. All that I have experienced Has sublimed into oblivion And what are left are traces From alternative lives.
Seeking the truth I was seeking the truth Hidden within me. For many a long and difficult year I've been holding firmly to the hand of Hope And thus survived. I survived for understanding That I was incarnated for a purpose. My struggle has no end. Above all, it carries a vision . . . Those who could not see it Could not understand could not feel Could not comprehend . . . The hand of God discerns all in the end! Only Love descending from the Stars Embraces us once more ascends us to the stars!
The purpose of life I came to know the truth And it moves me deeply. Life was never been So beautiful as now. The truth covers everything And gives meaning to life. I know I am here for a purpose It is that simple and simultaneously enticing. Formerly life was so dull. Not a trace, not a sign. I cast my net and caught hold of Hope. I touched my dreams and embraced Faith.
Compassion Open, Compassion, Like the flower of dawn Spread your rosy petals Over the ebb tide of the Universe. Let me become one And lose myself like a star in Heaven. The gifts of Universe are boundless feeling the Love and Universal Light in the embrace of the One. We are all children of a Higher Nous We abide beneath the same roof Although much divides us Love unites us. Let Compassion spread Over the pebbles of Happiness Letting me cherish the waves of Gratitude Sensing the flood tide of Love carrying me away. May the sun kiss my hair And feel my heart opening To the breeze's caress.
Description Cosmic Light is a spiritual book of poetry, written and published primarily in Greek language in Athens ~ Greece (October 2008). Its original title is Sympantiko Fos. It's a hymn to unconditional love and compassion, a legend for Eros and Soul mates, a new perspective of our astral origin and evolutionary path to light that underlines humans' willing to reconnect with Cosmic Consciousness, a commitment with destiny and higher good according to a divine plan. Poetry is a vivid spiritual gate. However the magical sense that a reader derives from the poetic travelogue could be described but only an intellectual, divine river of dreams, light and unconditional love. Katerina Kostaki, born in Athens, Greece, is a spiritual author, poetess, and video creator. Her writings related to spirituality, self-advancement mystery and metaphysics have appeared in several Greek/International publications both in print and online . http://www.endless-journey.gr/en

A reliable butterfly & Broad Shoulder - By Master Chrism
A Reliable Butterfly Reality
March 2011
Broad Shoulders
ften during the Kundalini process the very foundations of reality can be challenged. Up can become down and in can become out with many permutations of your normal reality becoming
hat I have tried to do in the safeties (Kundalini Awakening Systems 1 protocols) is help people by giving a specific idea of pathways that produce positive results and pathways they may want to avoid.
So I have found it best to not distort the waking every day mundane reality by use of drugs or chemical entertainments. The very nature of Kundalini is an introduction into the divine embrace. Easy to write. Not so easy to experience. As we become party to a dual relationship with this physical reality and a much more refined reality the tendency will be to rise through to these higher states. Like cream always rising to the top.
By indicating certain practices that can bring experiences that are fearful or scary or painful I am allowing the individual an opportunity to avoid these aspects of an infusion. You may have heard of difficult and brutal Kundalini experiences but I have lived it. I have seen and treated others for a devastating experience with the Kundalini. This is why the safeties came about at all.
obscured.
In this rise, the physical, mental, emotional, psychological and spiritual transformations are experienced. Some of the transformation is instantaneous. Most of it is gradual. If it all happened all at once in the body this usually would allow for an imploding/exploding of the body. Like Spontaneous Human Combustion. This is very, very rare. So no worries, just mentioning it to include in your considerations the idea of a gradual transformation just like the butterfly. A secure space of defined reality in order to experience an undefined version. Inside of these transformations I would suggest that you use the butterfly analogy again and develop as stable a reality (cocoon) as you can. Keep it close and hold it dear. Be happy for its familiar comfort. As the Kundalini continues its ways your other experiences may become quite difficult to decipher at times. And it's always nice to have your home base reality near at hand when these times come. It also helps the teachings express clearly when you are clear in the mundane reality. Much like the 'chop wood and haul water' meditation does to stabilize a reality, so can your own familiar reality become a haven in the sometimes tumultuous Kundalini experiences. So bless your present state and realize its necessity in your development. Do not try to abandon your reality, thinking Kundalini is the greener pasture. It is green but it might be understood or comprehended as orange if you get my meaning. Soon enough the realities will blend and a new form of understanding will commence. Until that occurs though try to be comfortable with what you have that is a known quality. Do nothing to damage or change your current reality aside from making the changes as specified in the safeties for Kundalini activation. Chrism is another person like you, a consciousness clothed in flesh, who uses a set of protocols entitled the Safeties he guides students in a loving and safe manner through the Kundalini process. www.KundaliniAwakeningSystems1.com www.KundaliniAwakeningSeminars.com

Many people who come into the Kundalini do not know what is occurring. They do not change or even know that they may want to make some changes in how they process life through kundalini eyes. Some are open to the communications of the Shakti but even then they do not make any adjustments in how they live and how they think and therefore they can manifest some very unfortunate experiences for themselves. Kundalini is a divine energy and very strong! But it doesn't strip a person of choice. If a person chooses so will they receive the rewards of that choice and ignorance and education are choices to make. Yet we in the West live in a society that does not recognize visions or Golden Helmets or spinal sweeps or any of the other Kundalini symptoms. We Kundalini people are left to the vagaries of medicine or science or the media which do not recognize the Kundalini at all. Hence, these people become stuck in a place of difficult experiences that threaten their sanity. By giving people avenues and instructions that are experience based, and that have been proven by many to help and condition an activation or an awakening, this is a service; at least it is as far as I see it and intend it. So I offer this to people. I offer my experience and what knowledge I have been given. The Kundalini doesn't need to go unbalanced or amplify persons' darkest moments. These are things of the ego. Kundalini will just as easily give joy and bliss and love and happiness, beauty, help, knowledge and positive experience. All that is needed is a little help, a little knowledge from those who have gone through it before. “As I have been helped so do I help. As I have been loved so do I love. We stand on the shoulders of those who have gone on this path before us. Chrism is a native of California residing in the city of Santa Rosa. He travels the country awakening the Kundalini in groups of people safely and with continued support throughout the many years of the Kundalini awakening experience. Kundalini as it expresses through Chrism is the teacher. For further information visit: www.KundaliniAwakeningSystems1.com
Tapping the wisdom within - Dr. Amit Nagpal
March 2011
Tapping the wisdom within hen was the last time you felt your soul being expressed? When was the last time you cried with joy? Wrote poetry? Made music? When was the last time you sat alone with the silence, traveling to the deepest part of your being? ~ Neale Donald Walsch If only we had the wisdom to take the right action, half of the problems we have, would not have been created in the first place and the rest we would be able to resolve successfully. The question arises, how can we develop wisdom? According to Confucius, we can develop wisdom by reflection (which is the noblest and hence the best), by imitation (which is easiest) and by experience (which is most difficult and makes us bitter). As a leader we have to constantly take tough decisions, decisions in new areas and decisions at the drop of a hat in emergencies at times. Often, after taking a decision, we have a self doubt (called cognitive dissonance in management), whether we have taken the right decision or not. How do we take wise decisions which minimize the self doubt, which are quick, yet right and appropriate to the situation? How do we reflect (as Confucius says) to take the noblest decisions which we do not regret and rather feel proud of? A true leader must begin with self-mastery, go within and make an effort to improve him all the time. As Blaine Lee says, “The leader who exercises power with honor will work from the inside out, starting with himself.” Here comes the importance of using spiritual tools for reflection, introspection and tapping inner wisdom. The spiritual tools which we can use to tap the inner wisdom include meditation, chanting, positive affirmations, and deep introspection and so on. Spiritual tools.net defines spiritual tools as, “A non-material, situation specific action to change attitude or awareness proven over time and across cultures to promote quality of life.” Our thoughts only bring the people, things, situations and circumstances into our lives and to attract the right people and situations, it is important to exercise thought control. James Allen says, “You are today where your thoughts have brought you; you will be tomorrow where your thoughts take you.” Meditation helps us in thought/mind control and controlling negative thoughts (and inviting positive thoughts) also results in more wisdom. To tap the inner wisdom also means one must have perfect inner peace. To have perfect inner peace means you have to let go of guilt, grudges, emotional baggage and all other negative emotions. The focus should be on improving oneself which will result in more and more wisdom through higher levels of consciousness. Leo Tolstoy once said, “Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself.” As somebody has rightly said that at the beginning of wisdom one starts questioning everything and at the peak of wisdom one starts accepting everything. There is no scientific evidence to prove the law of karma but it can provide perfect peace to a person, essential for tapping our wisdom. The Law of Karma may help us feel that whatever wrong happened in the past had a justification and whatever will happen in the future, will also be based
27
on a justification. Rainer Rilke says, “Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart. And try to love the questions themselves.” The answers will surely come in a matter of time. A wise leader will work on developing the wisdom of his subordinates to get the best results out of them. As Benjamin Disraeli says, “The greatest good you can do for another is not just to share your riches, but to reveal to him his own.” I once wrote on Facebook:“Knowledge is easy to gain, wisdom is difficult Teacher is easy to get, guru is difficult Learning is easy to do; unlearning is difficult Existence is easier, living is difficult” Meditation and spiritual tools provide us with wisdom to respond (and not react). Deepak Shinde wrote in his article, 'Choose your response', highlights the importance of contemplation in differentiating between response and reaction and says, “Reactions are instinctive while responses are intellectual. Between the stimuli (what happens to me) and the response (what happens through me), if there is no gap it creates reaction. But between the stimuli and response if I use the gap to think and contemplate, then I can respond thoughtfully. An intelligent person responds, a fool reacts.” Meditation and emotional control develop the wisdom to have positive attitude under extreme circumstances. The modern life can be extremely stressful at times and is creating clouded thinking with higher levels of stress and lower levels of emotional support in relationships. Meditation helps in developing the clear-headedness to understand subtle differences between; Teaching a lesson and taking revenge Angry for wrong reasons and having righteous anger Being sensitive and being oversensitive Living a genuinely happy life and happiness by neglecting our duties Loving unconditionally and possessive love Finding fine balance between asserting for our rights and joyfully doing our duties Having Mindlessness (during meditation) and Mindfulness (in our day to day living) at different times Understand that each negative thought and emotion is a slow poison which will leave a permanent impact on our mind, body and soul. Kabir, the ancient Indian poet rightly says; Those who took deep dive in the water got the precious pearls (of Wisdom). Poor me, was afraid of drowning, so kept sitting at the bank (of the river).

Spiritual Art as Stories - SL Team
Spiritual Art as Stories ast month an exhibition of Persian miniature art was held in the D.D.Neroy gallery, Mumbai. The Iranian artist Mahboobeh Nikooghadam displayed her beautiful work for all to see. Her paintings were stories in art. Almost each one told a story for all those who wanted to hear the visuals communicating with the viewer. “These are the Persian Treasures, a journey from dream to reality, explained Ghayathri Desai, owner of the gallery. It is said that when the words are not able to explain the concepts, paintings continue the mission of reflection of reality through the artist mind and thoughts. Mahboobeh successfully stepped into the world of colour and dreams. The artist with her magnificent paintings especially miniature shows different form or aspect of reality through her paintings. One of her miniature has been adapted from the ancient musical instrument called 'Chang'. It is known to be used in the pre-Islamic history during the Sassanid dynasty rule. The sound of the Chang reminds the listener of the sounds of the ocean waves during the calm and quite midnight, when all the elements of nature go to sleep. Along with the sound, the player who usually accompanied with her by singing songs provided a dreamy atmosphere. It is said that the harmony between the Chang and the Chang player makes a journey in time from past to present and maybe from present to the future as the voice of creation. Another painting is a poetic fragment that has been adopted from one of the most philosophical concept of Hafez works (Diwane-Hafez). This work imagines the relation between life and death and cycle of universal, natural laws. Universe is considered as a jaam (glass, container) for filling the wine of death. All have to drink this wine despite his designation of being either a king or a beggar; a teacher or a student; a trader or a worker. As they have come to this mortal planet they have to leave this world by drinking the jaam (the glass of death). The angel of death Ezreel distributes this jaam. Another painting shows a colourful bird called Cimorgh. One day all the birds decided to meet Cimorgh, the king of the bird who has his nest on the peak of Koohghah mountain. The birds started their long journey across the villages and mountains. Some of the birds died due to tiredness, some due to scarcity of food and some who refused to fly any more. As the days passed the number of birds decreased and finally a few remained who reached the mountain top but could not see the Cimorgh. They became sad and despite a lot of efforts they were not able to see Cimorgh. One of the bird finally turned to the other birds and said, “Friends, look at us, how many are we? We all are Cimorgh (30 birds). This work symbolizes self-realization as the moral of the story. It originated from the Iranian mysticism. Mahboobeh was born in Teheran in 1958 and holds a diploma from the school of science and was also a student of the Crowley college England. She has studied art from the Hatfield University UK. After her return from England she started teaching art. She has been teaching Iranian Miniature Painting for the past 22 years. She has an institute of arts in Iran where she spends her time teaching and painting. She has participated in more than 30 exhibitions in Iran, has had 4 exhibitions to her credit in England and has also exhibited in Kuwait, Sharjah, Dubai and at The Iran Culture house Mumbai. She has also conducted a seminar at the Bombay University on Persian Miniature Art.

The Mundane World
March 2011
- Re-told by Rahul Zota
The Mundane World Once upon a time, a traveller got lost and he could not find any one who could guide him to his destination or give him the directions. Thus travelling he got lost in the dense jungle. He came upon four robbers who chased him while the traveller escaped from their clutches, further into the thick jungle. Soon a mad elephant started chasing him and while escaping him he fell into the well. But saved himself by grabbing onto the thick branches of a tree by the side and partly covering the well. He realized that below in the well were four snakes and an alligator. He was thankful for the branches but it was short-lived. When he looked upwards at the sound of squeaks, he saw two rats, one black and one white gnawing and chewing the very branch the traveller was holding onto with his dear life. The same moment he looked up, a few drops of honey from the beehive fell onto his lips. The elephant that had been chasing the man arrived at the scene and began to shake the tree and the branches violently. As the branches swayed with force, several bees stung the traveller but at the same time more honey poured over his mouth. The sweet, delicious honey made him forget his pain and problems that lurked around him for a while. At this point an angel couple, who was flying by, spotted the man in the miserable position and offered to help him. The traveller requested the angels to wait a while, as he wanted to consume the sweet honey. After a while the angels asked him again but he kept on asking them to wait. Soon the angels got tired of waiting and realized the futility of it all and left. Thereafter, the two rats chewed off the branch and the traveller fell right into the well and was killed instantly. The story is symbolic for the troubles of a soul. The traveller represents a worldly soul. The elephant represents death, something everyone must face. The four snakes and the alligator represent the four passions (anger, deceit, greed and pride) and rebirth respectively. The branch cut by the two rats represents the life-span of a living being which is continuously being reduced by the day and night. The white rat represent day and the black rat represent the night. The bees represent the daily problems. The honey represents the sensual pleasures in which all living beings are absorbed. And the celestial (angel) couple who offered the traveller help represents true belief. Thus, enlightened beings have given the above simple story to describe the real nature of the mundane world. We should realize that how unsafe it is to be absorbed in the sensual pleasures instead of finding our real self. One can get rid of the cycle of birth-death and rebirth only by realizing his/her true self and by destroying all karmas by performing external and internal austerities. Book Corner Review - Gayatri Pagdi
Psychic Powers : A Practical Guide/Awaken Your Sixth Sense By Melita Denning and Osborne Philips I absolutely love Melita Denning and Osborne Philips' Psychic Powers : A Practical Guide/Awaken Your Sixth Sense. Both Denning and Philips are known names in connection with western mysteries and psychic development. This particular book by them is a delight to people who are interested in developing their innate psychic skills in divination, dowsing, c l a i r v o y a n c e , psychometry and spirit communication. What should encourage an interested reader are a few facts: Psychic abilities are natural to all of us. They are not just some fantasy but are a real and dynamic part of our mind, body, soul and spirit. You don't have to be exceptionally religious to develop your psychic skills and the skills have zero religious affiliations. It's true that some of us have greater natural inclinations for them but it is possible for anyone, through training and sincere effort, to develop them and Denning and Philips help the reader do just that. The way they go about it is so systematic and yet so simple that the first thing it does is to take away any sort of intimidation that the prospects of developing them might present. There are group tests like those with ESP cards or pendulum and they are fun enough to go on trying even if one doesn't get them right a few times. Perseverance is the mantra. You try and try again till the first signs of getting it right, all in complete peace. This training is not supposed to cause you stress. Craving for psychic skills and then suffering an inward conflict and the resulting stress would be the surest way to put you off track. What is essential is to maintain a sense of purpose along with the peace of mind and a calm determination that you will get it right eventually. The intention is serious,

the procedure is exact and since psychism thrives on liberality, the atmosphere ought to be determined but light. The tone, however, gets serious as we proceed. There's no doubt that despite the non-intimidating approach, the writers mean business. There are pointers for practice, study points and certain general rules, which are culled at the end of the chapters. I particularly like the chapter on the Spiritualist approach, which also gives elaborate details of how a sitting has to be conducted as also the conditions of spirit communication in a trance. There would be visitors, guides, interplane contacts. There are explanations on aids and signals, a discussion of the possible problems that the practitioners might face while in the Circle, a commentary on the difference between fraud mediums and genuine mediums, instructions on the way in which a sitting should be closed and, at the end of it all, the right way to maintain sĂŠance records. Some of the topics are illustrated. Here, I feel the book could have done better. There should have been more illustrations, especially for pendulums and dowsing. In my personal experience the best way to learn pendulums is through illustrations that support the explanations. They do prove to be more effective. Barring that the book is wonderful and gives total value for money. What is, probably, the most exciting part of psychic development is that we suddenly have a whole new association with the world that surrounds us. Our awareness of other dimensions increases, the subtle vibrations of things that were lost on us before now reach us and we find that our extended sensibilities open new doors of experiences. What kinds of experiences? You need to find that out for yourself. Believe me, it's well worth the try.

Dear All, Sage Charaka says that though activities of all creatures are directed towards happiness, the good and bad course they adopt depends upon the knowledge and ignorance respectively. To live a happy and healthy life is the natural instinct of every human. This is what we dream about, and pray for. If we get into the depth of human heart we find the desire to have health, possess vitality and longevity, so even the mere thought of illness strikes a terror in our heart. This urge to prolong life, and prevent systemic illness, is the main aim of all traditional healing systems. This concept is unfolded by the Eye opening Talk -
