MarketAxess New York, NY Spacesmith guided repeat client MarketAxess through a strategic workplace study and subsequent office design as the fintech firm embarked on a rebranding effort that dove tailed with a move to a new 83,000 sf HQ in Hudson Yards.
RED Distribution New York, NY Sony affiliate RED, a leader in independent music distribution and artist development, wanted their new 20,000 sf HQ to be a lively, collaborative workspace. Our team designed a flexible and dynamic office with a strong visual identity.

Li & Fung Jimlar Shoe Corp. New York, NY Spacesmith was enlisted by Li & Fung as executive architect for the build out of 100,000 sf in the Empire State Building to house their footwear division. This project is LEED Platinum certified.
Global Brands Group New York, NY Spacesmith worked closely with B&Co. on the build out of 100,000 sf of office and designer space in the Empire State Building, consolidating several women’s apparel brands onto one floor. This project is LEED CI-Gold certified.
Li & Fung New York, NY Spacesmith collaborated with architectural firm B&Co. on the renovation of this global firm’s flatiron location. The 24,000 sf office holds administrative areas and designer studios, as well as several break out areas.
Avon Inc. New York, NY Spacesmith designed several spaces at Avon’s HQ including the employee product shop, image room used for public relations, heritage wall, and executive suite. As part of Avon’s goal to reduce their environmental impact, sustainable materials were specified.
Hermès of Paris Worldwide Spacesmith is acting as executive architect, working very closely with the Hermès in-house design team, Paris based RDAI, on several projects worldwide. The scope ranges in size from 200 sf to 15,000 sf and includes new boutiques, shop improvements, and temporary stores made to operate on behalf of those getting renovated.
Cremieux New York, NY Spacesmith designed Cremieux’s first New York City retail store. Located in a landmarked building in Soho, the design marries the brand’s classic sporting style with the neighborhood’s urban chic.
Bonpoint NYC and Houston, TX Spacesmith collaborated with Bonpoint’s design team to establish the overall layout and customer experience of each boutique, both of which include a play area and sections dedicated to boys, girls, and infants.
LadurĂŠe New York, NY Spacesmith worked closely with LadurĂŠe and their in-house design team Panetude on the build out of their new store in Soho. The space is clearly divided into four zones: a pastry shop, tea room, full-service restaurant, and outdoor patio.
Brooklyn Bridge Park New York, NY Spacesmith transformed a historic building into new administrative offices for the Brooklyn Bridge Park. Our team gutted the interior to expose the original structure and opened the faรงade between the structural bays to bring in light.
Brooklyn Bridge Park Pop-up Pool New York, NY Spacesmith and Davis Brody Bond were enlisted by the Brooklyn Bridge Park to design an outdoor pool. Rising off of Pier 2 at the Park, the pool is accompanied by a sandy beach area supplied with lounge chairs and colorful umbrellas.
NYPD Tow Pound Brooklyn Navy Yard, NY Spacesmith designed a new, twostory building for the NYPD’s Brooklyn Tow Pound Operations. This project won the 2009 Design Award from the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce and was the first LEED Gold certified building at the Brooklyn Navy Yard.
Part of the Solution Bronx, NY Part of the Solution provides the homeless and working poor with meals, clothing, counseling, and social services. Our team renovated a 15,000 sf building in order for the non-profit to expand its programs.
Columbia University New York, NY Spacesmith converted a former chemistry library into much needed classroom space on the 4th floor of Columbia University’s Chandler Hall. The 6,500 sf project also included renovating space on the floor below to hold private and shared offices.
School of Visual Arts New York, NY Since 2005, Spacesmith has provided architectural services for the School of Visual Arts, serving both undergraduate and graduate programs at several locations throughout Manhattan.
Cooper Union New York, NY Our design brought the Admissions, Registrar, and Financial Aid Offices together under one roof to create an efficient “one stop� for students as they navigate registration.
