#SPANC16 FAQs What time does the conference start and finish? Conference kicks off on Friday, April 8th at 5.30pm, where you’ll be able to check into your rooms. We’ll have a full night of entertainment before conference kicks off again at 9am on Saturday, April 10th. We’ll have a full day of speakers again on Sunday, with things finishing up at 5.30pm. What does the one night ticket include? Our one night accommodation ticket include entry from 9am on Saturday, entry to the awards that evening and accommodation. You also get entry to the conference on Sunday too. What if I’m going to be late? Do try and make it to the full conference if you can - our team has put a lot of effort into making the weekend the best it can be! We do know some people have to travel a long way though - so if you think you will need to check in a bit late just let one of our team know via email. What’s the location of the conference?
Where is the accommodation?
The conference is all going to be held at Loughborough Student Union. The full address is Union Building, Ashby Rd, Loughborough, LE11 3TT.
Accommodation is on campus - a five minute walk from the venue. We’ll be in Royce Halls - the postcode is LE11 3TJ.
What do I do with my luggage? If you’re joining us on Saturday we can hold your luggage for you at the SU once you arrive. You’ll then be able to check in later on. We can also hold luggage after you check out on Sunday.
Will I get my own room? Everyone will get their own single room, but you may have to share shower and kitchen facilities. You’ll be in the same block as other #SPANC16 delegates, and we’ve tried to keep universities and groups together. Do I get food?

If you’ve booked accommodation you’ll get free breakfast in the morning. We will also be providing lunch on Saturday and Sunday, as well as our three course awards meal on Saturday evening. Is there parking? Pay and display parking is available at the uni, a short walk from the venue.
#SPANC16 FAQs How do I get to Loughborough? The nearest train station is Loughborough - there are frequent buses to the campus from the station or it is a five minute taxi journey. If you’re driving leave the M1 at J23. And, if you feel like flying, East Midlands Airport is just seven miles away. Is there anything else I should bring?
When do I have to check out? Conference starts at 9.45am on Sunday - so you’ll need to be back at the SU by then. Bring your bags with ou and we can put them in the luggage room. What if I have dietary or special requirements? We can accommodate your needs as long as you tell us in advance. If you have missed telling us something when you booked, just drop us an email and we’ll fix it! What if I get lost or have an issue while I’m there?
Just yourself - and copies of your newspaper! We will be running a swapshop on the Satuday to share ideas so would love to see as many copies as possible!
