Spazio Labo'-Centro di Fotografia

Spazio Labo'- Center of Photography, located in the historic center of Bologna, has been founded in January 2010 by two young photographers and cultural enterpreneurs, Roberto Alfano and Laura De Marco. It consists in a school of photography, a space for events (book presentations, lectures, etc) and a library. The center is also a gallery dedicated to photography which has already hosted important shows. The gallery is particularly committed in showing young emerging photographers’ work. The center collaborates with international festivals. In 2011 it also launched its independent self publishing house called Edizioni Labo'. The first two publications have been made in July 2011 and in July 2012 and consist in two exhibit catalogs. In May 2010 Spazio Labo’ begun an educational program in the city of New York, called “Photography Workshop in New York” which consists in intensive workshops of photography held by international photographers.
