This active group of people play a pivotal role in pulling together special events, organizing volunteer opportunities, and provide feedback about programming with older adults in mind. Google Drive lets you store and access your files anywhere: on the Web, on your hard drive, or on the go (mobile devices). In this class we will learn how to set up a Google Drive and how to store files that you can access from anywhere, and how to collaborate with others on said files. Country Living 3

Travel over hills and through woods to learn how those living on family farms are reinventing what they do to make life on the farm sustainable. Visit Treasured Haven Farm, The Crazy Ladies House (voted a Twin Cities Live Viewer’s Choice Award Winner in 2012) and Twisted Suri Alpaca Ranch to experience creative farm living at its finest! Farm City Day 2

Barns to Rails 2

Wednesday, August 21• 7:30a-5:00p • Course# 8065-SuSA, $65 Did you know that Canterbury Park’s stable area has 33 barns and 1,620 stalls and is ranked one of the best in the nation? We will take a tour, see horse training and more during our visit. From Canterbury, we will embark on a guided tour of “Barn Quilts of Carver County”. This local project connects barn owners, artists and the community to embrace regional pride, history and creativity. We will wrap up our day riding the rails of the Minnesota Street Car Museum’s Excelsior Line. Fee includes lunch, admissions, motorcoach transportation and guide. Friday-Friday, October 4-11 • Course #8063-SSA Travel with friends and neighbors to an area known the world over for stunning autumn foliage. See all six New England states on this inclusive tour by Landmark Tours. Boston is a treasure chest of history and we’ll start there. Next we’ll head to Lexington and Concord, as well as a day trip by ferry to Martha’s Vineyard. We’ll visit Newport to see mansions of wealthy industrialists and journey into the Connecticut River Valley. See the quaint village of Stowe in the Green Mountains of Vermont and Franconia Notch in New Hampshire is filled with scenic attractions. Travel to “The Pine Tree State” of Maine for an authentic lobster bake. The scenic drive down the spectacular Atlantic Coast will bring us full circle back to Boston. Second Harvest Heartland Volunteer Opportunity Wednesday, June 19 • 1:00p-4:00p Course# 6140-SuSA Second Harvest Heartland distributes boxes of groceries each month to over 9,000 low-income seniors and mothers with children. All 9,000 boxes are packed by volunteers on an assembly line! You can be one of those volunteers. This service opportunity requires standing for approximately three hours, with occasional breaks, and placing an item in the boxes as they travel on a conveyor belt. Please wear closed-toe shoes for safety. Participants will meet at the Second Harvest Heartland’s Maplewood warehouse at 1040 Gervais Ave., 55109 (Hwy. 36 and Hwy. 61).
