Years of sea water exposure caused severe deterioration of the original exposed aggregate concrete walkway of the Ventura Promenade. The cement mortar embedding the decorative aggregate was badly eroded and made it difficult to walk on with bare feet. SpecChem’s Duo Patch provided the solution. The durable, light gray, flowable mortar provided an easy to apply resurfacer. The Duo Patch mixed with the entire unit of admix allowed the flowable mixture to encapsulate the aggregate creating and attractive, smoother surface that will permanently bond with the substrate and can withstand the severe conditions.
