Sustainable Building Scotland 2015 Sustainability is a crucial factor within the modern construction process, reflecting a wider cultural prioritisation of low carbon, environmentally responsible credentials. Given the size and scale of construction activity, improvements in this area can have a dramatic impact on social and environmental objectives. This has driven the demand for buildings to be produced to higher standards of sustainability, across initial construction, through to life-cycle occupation and end of use deconstruction. This conference will consider the incorporation of sustainable principles within the construction process, from changes in public policy to the evolution of design and the development of new materials. The event will bring together thought leaders from across Scotland to discuss the modernisation of construction practices, and explore how innovative solutions can be used to improve sustainability and deliver lasting value. The conference will also present a unique forum for knowledge exchange, open discussion and cross-sector engagement.
SPECTRUM EVENTS Spectrum Events produce conferences addressing issues and developments within a variety of fields including sustainability, building, planning, environment, funding and communities. Our events, therefore, serve as genuine drivers for new business and new partnerships through wider cross- sector and inter- disciplinary interaction.
