Tes>monials Southern California -‐ 240 unit apartment complex with 30% savings: “The savings began almost immediately, and therefore, the board approved installing the sensors throughout the community. ~ Haven Management Athens, Georgia -‐The University of Georgia Sanford Stadium 50 yard line: “We placed mul5 sensors in the middle of the fiield to help deal with the LOGO at the 50 yard line. Heavy paint at the 50 yd line caused the grass to die and with the sensors we monitor the levels and maintain the proper water level in the soil. The grass around our logo has never looked beZer” Palm Beach, Florida -‐ Single Family Home with 50% savings: “UgMO cut my water bills by 50% and I saved over $1000 in just 6 months. In this economy and water shortage, installing UgMO is one of the smartest thing I’ve done.” ~ Palm Beach Resident Gwinnea County, Georgia -‐ 21 McDonald’s Loca5ons with 40% savings: "Because of the clear financial and environmental benefits I ended up purchasing an UgMO system for all my loca5ons and expect return on investment in less than 16 months.” ~ Paul Messer, DBA, McDonald’s Phoenix, Arizona -‐ Sky Harbor Airport saves 548,000 gallons in 4 months : “The ownership reported a reduc5on in their water bill usage of 548,000 gallons from the period of Aug-‐-‐-‐Dec 2011. These savings prompted the decision to expand the use of UgMo to 90% of the irrigated areas.” ~ UgMO Irriga5on Specialist Intelligent Irriga5on Systems Duluth, Georgia -‐ Single Family Home with 50% savings:“The results were astounding since irriga5on water costs were reduced by 66% during the first 9 months. This phenomenal rate of return on investment more than paid for the UgMO system during the very first summer." ~ Bill Russell, Russell Landscape Group
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS PROHOME PH100 Q: Is the UgMO ProHome PH100 UL listed? A: Yes Q: What do I do if I am not happy with my grass condi>ons aoer UgMO is installed? A: If your grass is too dry, the moisture levels may have been set too low on your UgMO Base Sta5on ini5ally, or you might not have sufficient default irriga5on run5mes set on you controller. Both can be adjusted. If your grass is too wet, the moisture levels may have been set too high on your UgMO Base Sta5on, and need to be adjusted lower. To change Base Sta5on segngs, you can refer to the watering guidelines sec5on of the installa5on manual or refer to the Installa5on support sec5on of the UgMO website. If the problem persists, consult your cer5fied UgMO installer for recommenda5ons. Q: Who do I call if I suspect UgMO is not working properly? A: Contact your cer5fied UgMO installer, or call the toll free customer service number in the installa5on manual. An UgMO expert will make sure to get you up and running smoothly again. Q: Is there someone I can call or a website to view for lawn care advice? A: Visit UgMO.com any5me for agronomic advice and 5ps for water management of lawns and landscaping. Q: What are typical savings with UgMO ProHome PH100? A: Pilot residen5al programs across the country have shown 30 to 50 percent water savings. It really adds up. Q: The technology sounds a liale complicated. Is it hard to use, day to day? A: Not at all. Homeowners and small business owners simply have UgMO ProHome installed – a typical six-‐zone system can be put in place in less than 60 minutes by a landscape or irriga5on contractor, with no special tools required. Q: Can UgMO be used in my poaed plants? A: Yes, provided the poZed plants are irrigated by an irriga5on clock and are within range of the UgMO Base Sta5on (100 n). Q: How long do the baaeries last in the sensors? A: Up to five years. Q: How do I locate and find a buried sensor if necessary? A: Use the triangula5on measurements that were taken during the installa5on, and/or look for the whisker markers buried next to each sensor. Q: How deep can the sensor be installed? A: The sensor is usually buried between 1.5-‐3 inches deep, so the measurements come from the ac5ve root zone. Also, if it’s buried more than 4 inches deep, it can strain the wireless signal connec5on. Q: How does UgMO know how long the irriga>on cycle is supposed to be? A: The UgMO ProHome Base Sta5on measures the amount of 5me that AC power is supplied by the irriga5on clock for each zone. Q: Does UgMO ProHome PH100 work anywhere? A: UgMO ProHome PH100 is specially made for residen5al and small commercial owners, harnessing the same advanced sensor technology used in professional golf courses across the country. The PH100 successfully reduces water use and promotes healthy plant growth on lawns and landscaped areas.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS PROHOME PH100 CONT’D… Q: Will UgMO work with my exis>ng irriga>on system and clock? A: Most likely UgMO ProHome was designed to work with the vast majority of irriga5on clocks. It does not, however, work with mechanical clocks or distributor or index valves. Q: How should my default irriga>on run>mes be set up to work best with UgMO? A: UgMO can only turn off or disallow watering – it does not turn on or add watering. With that in mind, the current irriga5on run5mes must be set up to keep the lawn and landscape areas hydrated during the driest circumstances. Consult your installa5on manual for specific watering guidelines. Q: How does UgMO determine if and when it should allow or disallow watering, and how much? A: The not-‐too-‐technical answer is this: an algorithm – calculated at the 5me just before watering is requested – takes into considera5on the current soil moisture percentage, compared to the user-‐defined moisture segng and the soil’s physical proper5es. UG1000 Q: How does the UG1000 controller differ from The PH100? A: The UgMO ProHome PH100 is an interrupter that uses soil moisture sensor data to turn off user scheduled irriga5on cycles when the soil has sufficient moisture. UG1000 is not an interrupter; it is a state of the art Intelligent irriga5on controller that uses soil moisture sensor data to determine soil type and the correct irriga5on run5mes to op5mize plant health and water savings. The UG1000 also provides remote monitoring and control func5onality along with system alert features. Q: Is the technology hard to use, day to day? A: Not at all. The UG1000 is capable of using the soil sensor to calibrate your soil type and determine irriga5on cycle 5mes, so all the user needs to define are the 5mes when they do not wish to irrigate and the UG1000 will do the rest. Q: How is the UG1000 different from other smart controllers on the market? A: The UG1000 uses real 5me moisture data from the soil root zone to decide when to and how much to water. Other controllers use a formula based on weather condi5ons, historical data and soil and plant type to make a best guess of what the water needs are. Q: What are typical savings with UG1000? A: Typically, users cut their water consump5on by between 20-‐50%. In addi5on to water and money savings, the agronomic benefits include uniform irriga5on, deeper roo5ng and predic5ve disease control. Plus, users enjoy more efficient use of labor and healthier, more stable condi5ons. Q: How is UG1000 different than other monitoring systems? A: In addi5on to being the most advanced wireless sensor on the market, UgMO is different primarily because of its sonware and agronomic service subscrip5on package. Unlike other soil monitoring devices which only focus on hardware, UgMO includes three powerful sonware components combined with agronomic support to collect, interpret and analyze soil condi5ons, and offer predic5ve ac5ons. www.UgMO.com
