Notre Dame de Chine / Our Lady of China
Jiawen Liao
This series is an introduction to Notre-Dame de Chine, located in the 13th arrondissement of Paris, which has served as a spiritual home to the Chinese catholic community since 2005. They also rent the church of Sainte Elizabeth in the 3rd arrondissement every Sunday afternoon for weekly masses in Mandarin. And all bibles and songbooks are imported from mainland China.
In addition to conducting regular parish activities, it strives to preserve the traditions of Chinese culture. Moreover, the church plays an important role in helping Asian immigrants solve daily life problems and enhancing community connections through charity events and others sharing activities.
