Growing up in the state of Sao Paolo, Brazil, I have always been surrounded by the manufacturing industry, I became interested in how people relate to objects indicates certain patterns of behavior that seem to be connected to their social status. When I arrived in Europe, I noticed the incredible amount of used, yet unbroken objects left all over the streets of the cities, and wanted to explore how that object-social connection manifests itself here. In doing so through my camera, the streets of the cities I visited presented themselves to me as an open art gallery: the wasted objects emerged as accidental and spontaneous urban sculptures being displayed in a public space for a short period of time.
BIO I am a visual artist. Currently based in Paris, I was born in a small town in the state of São Paulo, Brazil. I studied Jewelry Design at Central Saint Martins in London, built my own womenswear fashion brand and worked as a Creative Director for a shoe company in Brazil. Despite my commercially orientated career, I have always been interesting in exploring art particularly the conceptual - which has led me to experiment with various media. My work is intrinsically linked to the photograph, with focus and curiosity around understanding the method and meaning behind its artistic stance, both explicit and implicit.
