WESSEX & SANDRINGHAM HOUSE Both Wessex and Sandringham House take their names from the great Houses of the Monarchy. The naming of the houses is intended as an act of respect to the great regal history of this area, and a celebration of this quintessentially British part of London. SENSITIVITY TO SURROUNDINGS The architectural vision for Wessex and Sandringham House balances an international and cultural feel with something of the dynamic nature of the modern commercial buildings of More London to the west, ensuring a sense of progression and harmony from one site to the next. CLEAR-MINDED VISION The light-coloured exterior materials, with glass and metal-framed glazing, naturally draw the eye along the façade, its lightness creating a foil to the darker Cambridge and Hanover Houses nearby.
The singular design element is the continuous white ‘ribbon’ that wraps around each storey externally – irregular bands rising and falling in height depending on what lies behind. The band allows light into living spaces and maximises views, but is higher where more privacy and intimacy are required. PERFECT PENTHOUSES Wessex House is a collection of 82 apartments, crowned by three penthouses at the top of a ten-storey residence. Sandringham House features one stunning penthouse covering the entire tenth and eleventh floor and looks out over the river and neighbouring Potters Fields Park.
