Words from the families Dear Steve and all the staff and fundraisers at Magic Moments Just a note to say a huge, huge thank you to everyone for letting us be part of this year’s trip to Disneyland Paris. We had a truly amazing time away and from the moment we met the staff we were welcomed so warmly and looked after so well. Niamh was in awe of all the parades and characters and rides and it was just a magical trip. We could never have taken Connie with us on such a trip as she was too tiny and fragile for such cold weather. To be able to take Niamh there and say it was all because of her very special baby sister was just lovely and a wonderful happy memory for Niamh and us all. We asked Niamh what she thought of the trip and she said it was “awesome”. Praise indeed! So please pass on our very grateful thanks to everyone who has been involved in the trip and fundraising for it too. This was an amazing experience for us as a family and (as the tune of one of the Disney parade’s keep going round in my head), we were able to “celebrate the magic”. For us Christmas will always be a difficult time as Connie died on New Year’s Day, but this year we have such lovely memories which will remind us of all the kindness and magic we have shared with you all. Thank you again, we will remember our special time with you and all the families forever.
Hi All, Everyone who knows my family know what a hard time we have had but thanks to all the amazing charities including, Magic Moments (who arrange holidays and day trips for children with life limiting illnesses and bereaved families with young children, like ours) help to soften the devastation that life can through at you, no matter how hard you try to get it right! It is a trip I will never forget and hope Abbey will remember it as an amazing time too for a long time to come... Take care Cheryl xxx
With very best wishes and much love from Ann-Marie, Philip and Niamh xxx
To everyone at Magic moments We all wanted to say the biggest thank you for our amazing trip to Euro Disney… We had an absolutely brilliant time. It went way beyond anything we were expecting. The boys just loved everything…and we were all just overwhelmed by the gifts they were given. We all felt very spoilt! It was lovely meeting you all – and I will be in touch again about helping you all raise funding for future trips…we’d love other families to have the experience we did. Thanks again, Karen, Nic, Jamie, Christopher and Grandma Helen xxx

To Steve, Sarah, Jonathan, Jade and everyone at Magic Moments Charity I just wanted to thank you all so much for taking us all to Disneyland Paris. Firstly we had such a lovely time, and secondly we met some lovely people. When I received the call from Little Havens hospice I felt overwhelmed because we had been through such a difficult year with Esmeé in hospital and finally we had something to look forward to as a family. I will never forget Esmeé’s face when she met Stitch & Buzz light year. The character lunch made the trip even more special and the girls were speechless when you gave them gifts. It was a very special gift and trip and we are a big family so thank you once again for your generousity. Thank you so much Love & best wishes Beckie, Duncan, Hattie, Orla, Mia & Esmeé xxxx

Special Thanks
I have to applaud anyone that has supported the charity in any form. It is only through your support that the charity exists and can touch the lives of so many people. Whether your support is through salary donations, sponsorship, running events or supporting someone else, every penny counts. Thank you. My next special thanks are to the Charity Board and their support teams who support the charity in financial planning, expenditure plans and thinking ahead at how to raise the much needed funding to support our aims. Without this great team, the charity would not have grown as it has over recent years. The charity has an unsung hero. Sarah Sheppard has been the power behind the charity when it comes to making arrangements for all the structured meetings, taking minutes and most importantly arranging the annual Disneyland trip. Sarah has managed all of the booking arrangements from initial contact with travel agencies to dealing with insurance, seating plans, special need requests etc. The list goes on and on. It has to be said that without Sarah’s hard work and dedication to the charity, the trip would not be the success it has been for years now. Thank you Sarah. Warm thanks to Barry Donovan, as our external trustee. As an experienced trustee of many charities, Barry has been a wealth of knowledge and ensures that the actions the charity take fall within the guidelines of the Charities Commission and Magic Moments deed. And lastly thanks to the Executive Team at Spicerhaart for supporting the charity with resources, facilities and the passion to ensure that Spicerhaart can make a difference to local communities and show that we care. Thank you.
