Founded in 1990, St Clare’s provides hospice care services to people across Essex and Hertfordshire with life threatening and terminal illnesses. John and five friends joined 4,000 other amateur cyclists for the 100 km moonlit ride which took in iconic landmarks such as Abbey Road, Canary Wharf, Piccadilly Circus and Tower Bridge.

The long-serving member of the haart team is no stranger to fundraising on two wheels having ridden the London to Brighton Race last year. He already has plans to take part in another major event at some point in 2014.
