Spa Anise uses the Australian brand Waterlily and its sister brand Spaceuticals. Each product is hand crafted in their botanical laboratory in Brisbane, embracing the principles of fresh batched beauty. Waterlily’s heritage of slow skincare ensures that ingredients are nurtured from paddock to finished product to maintain the intensity and activity of each vital nutrient. Clean, green, transdermal and intensive to deliver visible results.
Signature spa rituals
VINO SPA RITUAL
This signature ritual begins with a Champagne sorbet full body exfoliation. An aromatic skin smoothing sugar infusion is layered with pressed grapes, strawberry and sparkling essential oils. Once removed, the body is treated to a replenishing hydration treatment infused with molten cacao and pure vanilla bean. The face is then treated to Waterlily’s Vino Therapy Performance Spa Facial. This anti-aging face treatment is designed to deeply rejuvenate, replenish and repair.

ULTIMATE INDULGENCE
Indulge yourself in this sensory ritual that harnesses the power of active botanicals to relax and rejuvenate you from head to toe. Begin your spa experience with an aromatic foot soak steeped in essential oils. You will then be treated to one of Waterlily’s luxurious crème body polishes and clay wraps. Once wrapped, your therapist will calm and quieten your mind with a deeply relaxing hair and scalp treatment. Relax your body into a tailored full body massage using one of Waterlily’s decadent botanical body balms to nourish and hydrate your skin. Your spa experience will finish with a customised spa facial that will leave your skin refreshed, refined and looking as incredible as it feels. Now it’s time to enjoy a complimentary glass of bubbles and a fruit platter. Pure bliss!

VINEYARDS INDULGENCE
This treatment begins with a relaxing massage tailored to your needs, followed by a heavenly spa facial and finishes with the ultimate moment of bliss, a fabulous feet treatment.

SPA SERENITY
Your ritual begins by selecting one of Waterlily’s aromatherapy oil blends that resonates with you on the day of your treatment. Your oil is warmed to release its full aroma and is used for your tailored full body massage to calm, rebalance and restore. Following your massage is a luxurious spa facial rich in exotic fruit oils and vitamins. This treatment will visibly refine and refresh your skin.
2 hours - $300 per person
TIME OUT FOR TWO
The ultimate couples treatment begins with a full body massage. While blissfully relaxed, your hands will be refreshed with a raspberry and rose exfoliation followed by an exotic moisture boost of guava and Moroccan rose. Then, treat your feet with a refreshing bamboo foot exfoliation followed by a foot treatment with rich lashings of spearmint and ginkgo. This couples treatment wouldn’t be complete without a glass of sparkling and a fresh fruit platter in the surrounds of our gorgeous Hunter Valley Retreat.

MATERNAL BLISS
A dedicated pregnancy massage to support and nurture your body. This treatment will gently relax and support you, your body and your baby. Your massage is followed by an aromatic foot exfoliation and treatment to relieve stress and tension, while enhancing relaxation and general wellbeing. Available in second and third trimesters only.

THERAPEUTIC MASSAGE
An energising and healing blend of oils are applied during this deep massage to heal and revitalise the muscles and mind. Your therapist will tailor your treatment using deep tissue, acupressure and muscle release techniques to target your areas of tension and pain. This treatment is perfect for those wanting a firmer style of massage.

RELAXATION MASSAGE
Harmonise your body’s senses with this calming full body massage using a blend of nourishing pure essential oils. Light to medium pressure will soothe aches and pains, ease your nervous tension and induce healing, leaving you feeling blissful and relaxed. This treatment is the perfect way to unwind.

PREGNANCY MASSAGE
A dedicated pregnancy massage to support and nurture your body. Rejoice as you and your baby enjoy the benefits of your relaxation and stillness. This calming full body massage will gently nurture, hydrate and radiate your glow and is available in second and third trimesters only.

HOT STONE MASSAGE
Relax, unwind and be transported to another dimension with this hot stone massage. Your Spa Therapist will use rhythmic techniques to allow the stones to release their healing energies deep into the muscles, dissolving any tension and stress. This sensory experience will harmonise the body, mind and spirit.

Body, hands and feet
ORGANIC HONEY AND COCOA BODY WRAP
This deeply nourishing treatment is perfect for dry, sensitive and sun kissed skin. Experience the ultimate full body rejuvenation ritual. Begin with a vanilla bean infused full body exfoliation. A cocoon of organic honey, cocoa and white French clay are then applied to soothe, heal and nourish the skin. Once removed this sensory journey is complete with a full body vanilla bean hydration treatment.

PURIFYING MARINE BODY WRAP TREATMENT
A deeply detoxifying body treatment designed to combat congested, uneven and cellulite prone skin. Begin with a purifying marine polish and walnut smoothing exfoliation, followed by a stimulating blue volcanic clay cocoon infused with active marine extracts, cypress and grapefruit. Once, removed this revitalising treatment is complete with a replenishing full body hydration treatment to balance and revitalise the skin.

SUGAR SMOOTHER
Your choice of Pink Champagne or Lime Caviar exfoliant. A deeply exfoliating spa ritual to create smooth silky skin. Enjoy an intensely invigorating treatment to not only effectively smooth skin but stimulate circulation to gently detoxify the body. The ideal treatment to combat cellulite and uneven skin tone while locking in moisture.

SIGNATURE VINO THERAPY
An anti-ageing face treatment to deeply renew, replenish and repair. Enriched with Vineyards offerings of pure Shiraz, pomegranate, fig and organic chocolate, the facial is complete with a performance contour masque infused with 500mg of pure vitamin C and 1000mg of freeze dried Shiraz.

YOUTH ELIXIR
A deeply rejuvenating treatment offering an infusion rich in omega oils and antioxidants to deeply hydrate, replenish and renew. Enriched with exquisite essential oils of rose balsam, crushed nut butters and antiageing vitamins to deliver the ultimate hydration treatment delivering beautifully luminous and dewy soft skin.

‘Extra spice’ treatments

PETIT SPA FACIAL
An express cleansing facial designed to offer a quick pick me-up to brighten, nourish and revitalise the complexion using a selection of nourishing cold pressed plant oils, exotic fruit enzymes and replenishing botanicals, French clay and a hydrating infusion of aromatic essential oils.
HEAVENLY HAIR
A pure botanical hair treatment and scalp massage to restore a supple mind and hair that shines. Delivering intense conditioning to revitalise damaged hair with a blend of jojoba, hazelnut and apricot oil.
FABULOUS FEET
Complete your spa experience with a relaxing food massage. A bamboo and spearmint treatment exfoliates the skin, followed by a nourishing ginkgo and shea nut balm to hydrate.
HEAVENLY HANDS
Give your hands the time they deserve with a dedicated exfoliation, clay infusion and a hydration boost of exotic Moroccan rose, guava and vitamins. The perfect accompaniment to any spa facial.

SPA OPENING HOURS
The spa is open from 9am to 5pm. Other appointment times can be arranged with prior notice.
ARRIVAL
Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your appointment to relax with a refreshment in our guest lounge area near Reception.
SPA ATTIRE
We advise wearing something comfortable so that you can easily undress when in the treatment room. If staying at the Retreat please feel free to come in your bathrobe. Underwear is worn throughout all treatments.
HEALTH CONSULTATIONS
Your wellbeing is very important to us. Please let us know of any health conditions or pregnancy when scheduling your appointment as certain spa treatments may not be recommended.
SUNDAY AND PUBLIC HOLIDAY SURCHARGES
All appointments on Sundays and public holidays carry a 15% surcharge.

Our caring and professional therapists have the utmost respect for your privacy and modesty. All personal information shared with us remains confidential. It is our intention to provide a safe, healing environment based on trust where you can truly relax.
SPA ETIQUETTE
The spa environment is quiet and peaceful. Please ensure your phone is switched off or on silent for the duration of your visit. The spa, including outside area is non-smoking.
SPA CANCELLATION
The time for your spa experience has been exclusively allocated for you; however, if your plans change and you wish to cancel or reschedule, we do require 24 hours’ notice. Otherwise the full charge will be applied.

Please note for your comfort and for our therapists our maximum treatment length is 2.5 hours. If you would like a longer treatment, we are happy to arrange this for you with a short break in our spa lounge where you can order from our complimentary herbal tea menu or order snacks and drinks from our refreshments menu or even pre-order platters (48 hours required) to have during your treatment.
