We create quality experiences where life can be celebrated and shared

Renowned for our collection of relaxed and luxurious Retreats, Spicers Retreats combines the individuality and privacy of a bed and breakfast with the style, quality and service of the world’s finest hotels.

Our Retreats are set in some of Australia’s most picturesque locations. With five stunning destinations in south-east Queensland, two in the Hunter Valley, one in the Blue Mountains, and one in the Sydney CBD, each Spicers Retreat offers an exclusive, private and unique escape from the world.

3
Spicers Sangoma Retreat

There is no ‘cookie-cutter’ style, no rigid rules that every Retreat looks the same. Instead, we embrace individuality so each Retreat is as unique as the brand itself.

The natural setting in which they are located is as important to our philosophy as the Retreat itself. The positive effect of being in these natural environments is elemental to Spicers. We are fortunate to call Australia home - a land of wild beauty and stunning flora and faunaand sharing the experience of this land with our guests is both our privilege and our passion.

5
OUR PHILOSOPHY
The Spicers Retreats collection grew out of the idea that small hotels should feel like a home, but guests should still enjoy a level of service they would expect from the finest establishments.
Jude Turner

JUDE TURNER - SPICERS FOUNDER

Growing up in Warwick, Jude Turner has deep roots in the bush. When the opportunity arose to purchase land for a weekend farmhouse, Jude and her husband ‘Skroo’ acquired the land now known as Spicers Peak Station.

With the busyness of life continuing unabated, an idea began to formulate - a collection of unique destinations showcasing amazing Australian locations without sacrificing good food and wine, and the relaxed luxury and service found in great hotels around the world.

Jude’s passion for sharing the natural environment remains as strong as ever, with a focus on preserving it for generations to come - particularly her two grown children and three grandchildren.

THE SPICERS EXPERIENCE

Surrounded by stunning vistas, cocooned in a rainforest or set amid quaint hinterland towns, each Retreat invites you to explore the region and experience its sights, sounds and unique character.

Each Spicers Retreat offers not only a unique location but a range of natural environments – the high country woodland of Spicers Peak Lodge, the tranquil rainforest of Spicers Tamarind Retreat and the open grassland of Spicers Hidden Vale to name just a few. These unique ecosystems are also home to an incredibly wide variety of native flora and fauna.

By bringing together unforgettable locations, award-winning dining and attentive service, Spicers Retreats are the ideal venues for special occasions, inspiring conferences or unique Australian getaways.
