WYMONDHAM The Stove & Fireplace Centre Over past years, Fireplaces and Wood Burning Stoves have come back in to their own as the focal point of many rooms and for both contemporary modern homes as well as traditional period properties, there are stunning designs to suit all tastes. There is so much scope in style and finish for fireplaces today and one of the best places to realise the truth of this is at the new relocated showrooms of “The Stove & Fireplace Centre” at Brunel Way in Thetford. Established in 1993, they can offer the consumer professional advise on the most suitable choice of Fireplace & Stove for their home, being the only HETAS Approved retailer in Norfolk & North Suffolk.

04 | March 2015

Here choice has never been greater, with Surrounds manufactured from Marble, Limestone, Sandstone, Solid Timbers and Cast Iron, all in different sizes and designs, including Period to Traditional styles through to more Modern and Contemporary styles, offering superb finishes to any rooms. Here you will find over 60 displays complimented by a superb range of Wood Burning & Multi-Fuel Stoves, natural looking

coal effect gas fires, as well as a vast range of Electric Fires. There are even Gas Fires if you have no chimney. This is an ideal place to find new ideas to give your home that very individual look with the addition of a new fireplace which can even be made bespoke to your requirements. They offer a full and professional installation service, having their own In-House HETAS installers, which has to comply with the current building regulations.

Failure to carry out this will result in your building & contents insurances possibly becoming invalid. The company also offer a professional Chimney Sweeping Service, from their NACS trained In-House engineers, using the latest Power-Sweeping equipment, which is much more thorough than traditional methods, giving a cleaner and more efficient flue. www.stoveandfireplacecentre.co.uk Opening Hours: Monday-Friday 9am-5pm

Anybody wishing to have a Solid Fuel Appliance installed must have the installation carried-out by an installer who is HETAS registered so as to conform to building regulations, if not, approval from local building control must be sought, which can sometimes be more costly than having “The Stove & Fireplace Centre” do the work.

WYMONDHAM Gooderstone Water Gardens A unique attraction for all garden lovers A unique attraction for all garden lovers, naturalists, artists and photographers - or those who simply want a restful break. What could be nicer than to stroll through an enchanting garden, explore the nature trail, perhaps spot a kingfisher and enjoy delicious home made cakes. The Gooderstone Water Gardens, located in West Norfolk near to Swaffham, consists of six acres of garden with: *A natural trout stream *Four ponds *Waterways *Thirteen bridges *Mature trees & shrubs *Colourful borders *Nature trail *Kingfisher hide *Grass paths *Tearoom & Plant Sales

www.DispatchMagazine.co.uk

Billy Knights, a retired farmer began designing and creating the Water Gardens in 1970 in his 70th year. The site was a damp meadow which became too wet for cattle to graze. Mr Knights’ son jokingly suggested he should have a water garden, which prompted him to draw out plans (on the back of a piece of wallpaper) and he soon had machines digging out the ponds and waterways. For over 20 years the gardens had been open to the public. The gardens were re-opened again in June 2003, with a new car park, refurbished tea-room / gallery, a toilet for disabled people and an 8 acre nature trail. There has since been the addition of a bird hide, bamboo grove, scented arbour, plant sales and a rustic roundhouse.

The small, friendly school that gets results for individuals Thetford Grammar School is a friendly and family based community, a high achieving co-educational independent day school in East Anglia, from rising 4s to the Sixth Form. The strength of this “all through” school is that it enables us to place great emphasis on a supportive environment, one in which pupils take responsibility for themselves and for each other. Our pupils come from all round the region, Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire, a testament to our popularity. But come and see for yourselves. Bring your children for a ‘taster’ day with us. WYMONDHAM Kerry Butcher Accountancy Services It’s hard to believe it but we are nearly at the end of the next tax year. 5 April 2015 will be the last day of the tax year 2014/2015 and on 6 April 2015 we start a brand spanking shiny new tax year. This year it feels fitting that this falls over Easter – so if you have a mind you can celebrate the end of the tax year with chocolate and Bunnies as well as Easter! In my book there is ALWAYS a good reason to eat chocolate. But can you believe that the fun is about to start all over again? It doesn’t quite seem possible that in less than a month many of us will be receiving those fabulous notices to advising us that yet another tax return must be completed. As I write, the final figures have not yet been published, but overall there is expected to be an increase in the number of people who failed to submit a tax return for 2013/2014 (deadline 31 January 2015). One of the reasons thought to be behind the increase in late submissions is the deadly High Income Child Benefit Charge (HICBC). Research suggests that a lot of parents still are not aware of this charge and are simply not aware that they should be paying this charge and certainly they are not contacting HMRC and requesting to complete a self assessment form. So don’t get caught out – if you know that you are in this category and that you should have paid a benefit charge, then sadly you will now have incurred a fine of £100 – but don’t ignore this situation any longer – come talk to us – we can work out whether you need to complete a return and if tax is due advise you how and when to pay this. Don’t wait for HMRC to come to you – they are usually far more sympathetic if you go to them and pay the charge as soon as you realise. www.DispatchMagazine.co.uk

So don’t bury your head in the sand – save this for fun on the beach this summer! The end of March and the beginning of April see us completing our payroll end of year summaries and sending out P60’s to all our employees. Don’t forget that the real time penalties are coming into force any time now so make sure that you pay what you owe, when you owe it and most of all don’t forget to file those all important summaries.

Finally – we here at KBA have had a busy year so far and we want to say a big thank you to all of the clients that have joined us over the past few years. It has been and still is a really exciting time for us. We love what we do and we love meeting with all of our clients. We hope that this is evident from the work that we produce and the results that we achieve – so we just want to say THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts because without you,

we wouldn’t be able to go out every day and do a job that we love. So whatever it might be – why not come and have a chat to us – free tea and coffee and a free initial meeting of up to an hour – what’s not to like! Why not visit us on Facebook too and like us there – email a question and we might well answer your question in the next edition – We hope to see you soon.

If you pay staff then the chances are, you need to be submitting real time summaries to HMRC – but don’t worry – here we are again – leaping to your assistance! We offer payroll at a very competitive rate – why not come and talk to us and let us take over your payroll requirements. We offer weekly, fortnightly, four weekly and monthly payrolls. We can contact you to check your requirements and payslips can be emailed or posted along with full summaries so that you know exactly what your costs are. We can even send you links to help pay your PAYE over to HMRC. Job done with minimum fuss and effort. We prepare P60’s for all payrolls at the end of the tax year and send these out nice and early so that your employees have their information ready for their own tax or tax credit affairs. In fact if you are our client (authorisation is required) then we can even call the tax credits department on your behalf. No more hanging on for hours listening to an automated voice telling you to check the website – just leave it to us! We can call and confirm your earnings for the year and the summary will be sent out to you for checking – That has to be a whole lot less painful! 2015 March | 11

GENERAL Buying a new bed this month? Look for the Big Tick logo It’s March again and that means one thing, it’s National Bed Month. This National Bed Month, consumers can now buy a new bed with the reassurance that it is ‘officially’ safe, clean and honest. The National Bed Federation’s ‘NBF Approved’ large tick logo means the manufacturer who made that bed has been independently audited to make sure they follow all the required procedures to produce safe, clean and hygienic mattresses. In short, that they are what they say they are. The move follows increasing mistrust among consumers about the products they are buying – particularly those where the contents are unseen and taken on trust, like beds and mattresses. The NBF is the UK trade association for British bed manufacturers. And to meet its new Code of Practice, member companies have had to go through rigorous and independent audits. “We wanted to ensure that our mark of approval really meant something,” said Jessica Alexander, executive director of the NBF. Particularly important to anyone buying a new bed is its safety and the reassurance that the mattress meets strict British flammability regulations. If it doesn’t - and recent publicity on BBC’s ‘Fake Britain’ programme which aired several times in 2014

12 | March 2015

has highlighted the growing number of illegal mattresses being sold with counterfeit fire labels – then it could prove fatal if ignited. Silentnight Beds have released a video of flammability tests on mattresses undertaken in their laboratory, the results are shocking. A non-compliant mattress, which was purchased online, therefore on sale to the public, was on fire within two minutes and releasing significant amounts of toxic fumes within three minutes, by this time the fully compliant mattress had fully extinguished itself. Within six minutes, the room is fully consumed with smoke and fire, the average response time for fire fighters in the UK is nine minutes. See it for yourself on our TV in store or on our YouTube page, search for Sound Sleep Beds. Less dramatic but still concerning are health and hygiene issues. We all want to think the nice new bed we are getting in to is clean and hygienic – and the NBF Approved logo means consumers can be sure that the bed they are buying comes from a manufacturer with all the right procedures in place to be sure it is just that.

you are buying is as described. It’s an initiative that The Sleep Council both supports and endorses. Said spokesperson Lisa Artis: “This is great news for consumers and we would urge anyone buying a bed to look out for the NBF’s new mark of approval – it’s designed to keep people sleeping safe as well as sound.” Said Jessica Alexander: “For reputable manufacturers, the NBF Approved logo is merely confirmation that they are – and always have been - following all the right procedures. Unfortunately there are less scrupulous traders out there who are now selling products that can’t be trusted – and with a mattress it’s hard to know what you are buying. The new NBF Approved logo means people

can buy a mattress in the certain knowledge that it is safe, clean and honest.” Sound Sleep backs the National Bed Federation’s new code of practice and are committed to supplying clean and safe products, so you can have a sound sleep knowing that your bed is fully compliant to UK laws and regulations. Feel free to visit us in store for more information. When you buy your next bed, make sure you look for the big tick! Sleep Safe. Sleep Sound. Sound Sleep. www.soundsleepbeds.co.uk www.bedfed.org.uk www.sleepcouncil.com

And lastly, we want to know that the mattress we are buying contains exactly what it says it does. Not to do so contravenes the Trades Descriptions Act – and again, the big tick logo means you can be assured the product

and ‘Ladybirds’ as well as a ‘Ladybirds Baby Mug’ have been designed. Emma Bridgewater attended the launch of the Nook Appeal at the Norfolk Showground on 25th November, 2014, to show supporters the new design. The mugs are available to preorder from emmabridgewater. co.uk from today (18th February) and will be available from Emma Bridgewater shops and website from Monday 2nd March. They will also be sold at Jarrold in Norwich from Monday 2nd March. The visit was an opportunity to see the design and manufacture of the mug and to meet the staff producing it. The event was hosted by Emma Bridgewater and her husband and Managing Director Matthew Rice. Emma and Matthew used to live in Norfolk and are delighted to be able to support a Norfolk charity. Graham Butland, EACH Chief Executive, was at the event and met The Duchess of Cambridge. March 2015

Graham said: The event was a great success. Everyone at Emma Bridgewater was so friendly and welcoming and there was a great atmosphere. “During the visit I met with The Duchess of Cambridge and she enquired about the nook appeal and how it was going. We also talked about how work started today Hummingbird House; a new children’s hospice in Queensland, Australia. EACH is supporting Hummingbird House in their development and The Duchess has previously met with Paul Quilliam, the General Manager of Hummingbird House, so it was a perfect talking point. “I also took the opportunity to thank The Duchess her for introducing us to Emma Bridgewater. “There were lots of media in attendance and the public came out to wave on her arrival – there was a great buzz. “I had a go at pottery making and it was really interesting to see all the processes of the

mug from start to finish. I had a go at washing the pottery and decorating a mug. It’s going to be fired and sent down to me – so it’ll be a lovely memento from the day. “The mugs look spectacular and everyone at Emma Bridgewater is confident they’ll be really popular and sell well. Our staff and supporters feel the same, and there’s been lots of social media interaction – with people asking when and where they can be bought. “As well as being an EACH patron, The Duchess is a strong supporter of children’s palliative care generally, and the time she spent with families from The Donna Louise children’s hospice today, yet again reinforces her empathy and understanding for the cause.

Based in Staffordshire, the charity has close links with the Emma Bridgewater factory and its employees since being Emma Bridgewater’s Charity of the Year in 2011 when staff raised £10,000. Her Royal Highness also unveiled a ceramic plaque to commemorate the visit. The mugs will be available to pre-order from www. emmabridgewater.co.uk from 18th February and will be available from the Emma Bridgewater website, Emma Bridgewater shops and Jarrold in Norwich from Monday 2nd March. The prices are as follows: Ladybirds ½ Pint Mug £19.95 with a £5 donation, Ladybirds and Insects & Flowers boxed pair £39.95 with a £10 donation and Ladybirds Baby Mug £15.95 with a £5 donation.

GENERAL ABOUT EMMA BRIDGEWATER Emma Bridgewater began in 1985, after Emma tried and failed to find a birthday present for her mum. “I was looking for a really special cup and saucer, but everything was either too formal or too clunky. That was my eureka moment. I realised there was a gap in the market for pottery that was beautiful and practical – pottery for a relaxed, colourful, mismatched life.” Today the company is run by Emma and her husband Matthew Rice, and our designs come from both of them. Most of the signature spongeware patterns, and the shape designs, are Emma’s, while Matthew is responsible for our timeless and much-loved Black Toast print, the cheerfully idiosyncratic Year in the

Country range, and our Birds, Dogs and Animals mugs. We’re very much a family business, and a lot of our ideas come from Emma and Matthew’s everyday life with their four children – our Marmalade pattern, for example, was inspired by a family tradition of stocking the cupboards with homemade marmalade every February, and we made our lovely deep pasta bowls after Emma couldn’t find any that were big enough for the generous portions she likes to serve at home. We’re a thoroughly British company too – all our pottery is made in Stoke-on-Trent, the traditional home of British pottery, and we’re proud to be one of the largest employers of potters in the area.

OUR PRODUCTS At Emma Bridgewater, we like to make things that make everyday life a little bit nicer – things that are beautiful to look at but also a pleasure to use, like a lovely mug that cheers you up when you have your first cup of tea in the morning, or a bowl with a playful message that makes you smile when you use it. Emma and Matthew only design things that they love and want to use at home themselves, which gives our patterns a unique warmth that makes them instantly recognisable.

pieces are individually handdecorated, so every one is very slightly different – and our spongeware is always signed by the person who painted it. Pottery is, and always will be, at the heart of our company, but in recent years we’ve come out of the kitchen and used our patterns on a growing range of other products including glass, tins, picnicware, wallpaper and fabrics from Sanderson, and our own collection of home fragrances, and bath and bodycare.

All our pottery is made from cream-coloured earthenware – a traditional Staffordshire product which we make in our own factory in Stoke-on-Trent, the home of British pottery. Most of the production work is still done by hand, and all the

Appeal launched for new Norfolk hospice The end of 2014 saw East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) proudly welcome HRH The Duchess of Cambridge, as Royal Patron, to the launch of the charity’s £10 million fundraising appeal to build a new children’s hospice in the heart of Norfolk. The end of 2014 saw East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) proudly welcome HRH The Duchess of Cambridge, as Royal Patron, to the launch of the charity’s £10 million fundraising appeal to build a new children’s hospice in the heart of Norfolk. The nook appeal was officially launched on 25th November at the Norfolk Showground where hundreds of guests from across the county comprising www.DispatchMagazine.co.uk

individuals, businesses, charitable trusts, schools and community groups attended to hear the charity’s vision of a new hospice built on a five-acre woodland plot in Framingham Earl, south of Norwich. The purpose-built hospice, which will replace the charity’s current facility in Quidenham, will be named the nook and offer facilities such as a hydrotherapy pool, private areas for clinical

care and dedicated rooms for therapies. The nook will be on an idyllic woodland plot, creating a wonderful tranquil setting for children, young people and families. It will also be better positioned in the county, within a thriving local community and won’t be isolated from services, hospitals and road networks. Quidenham hospice is one of the oldest in the UK and has been an incredible home-fromhome to many families for more than 20 years. However, the hospice was converted from an old country house and is extremely restricted in its facilities and development. The demand on services continues to increase, and care for young people over the last decade has become far more

complicated – the charity is rapidly outgrowing the constraints of the building. Mark Loades, Appeal Fundraising Manager, explained: “We were thrilled with our launch event for the nook appeal and it was great to be able to share our vision publicly. Everyone at EACH was honoured and extremely proud to have HRH The Duchess of Cambridge as Royal Patron and delighted she was able to join us on the day. We’ve received a great response to our campaign so far, with so many pledges of support. There are lots of ways that you can get involved and help us to build our new hospice, so please do contact our fundraising team to discuss more and find out how you can help.” To achieve our vision for Norfolk we need to raise £10 million 2015 March

work Nomadic, having invited young hip hop and contemporary choreographer/performer Ajani Johnson-Goffe to collaborate with him - a first in his 45-year career. Exploring the meeting point between hip hop and world music, Nomadic, which is a Sadler’s Wells commission, is set to music by Ursari Gypsy band Shukar Collective who fuse Romany and electronic music to dark, sharp effect.

Following a long spell with Ballet Rambert as resident choreographer and then artistic director, during which time he created 25 works for Rambert, Richard Alston launched his own dance company in November 1994 at The Place, the UK’s premier centre for contemporary dance in central London.

Fresh from two Sadler’s Wells performances and embarking on an anniversary tour of the UK, the company presents ten dancers in a mix of repertoire. On the Norwich stage, this will feature Nomadic and Burning, the latest works by Alston and his associate choreographer Martin Lawrance, alongside 2003’s Overdrive which is now on the GCSE syllabus.

Martin Lawrance’s latest work Burning premiered in Scotland in autumn 2014 to a standing ovation and rave reviews. Set to a live rendition of Lizst’s Dante Sonata, which is part of a programme of works inspired by Dante’s Divine Comedy, Burning explores ‘Lisztomania’ and the composer’s relationship with the young, married Countess, Marie D’Agoult. The passion floods out of every pore in this frenetic and emotional piece.

The ten dancers ride seamlessly across the surging waves of Riley’s relentless patterning, in an intricate and mesmeric crescendo of movement and sound. Overdrive is one of 12 prescribed professional works for GCSE Dance on the AQA syllabus and Richard Alston Dance Company has produced a teacher’s resource pack to accompany it. GENERAL ABOUT RICHARD ALSTON DANCE COMPANY Richard Alston Dance Company celebrates its 20th anniversary this season. Based at The Place, a leading centre for dance development, it has grown into one of the UK’s most avidly followed contemporary dance companies, performing the work of its Artistic Director Richard Alston and Associate Choreographer Martin Lawrance. Richard Alston Dance Company’s high reputation on the British dance scene is now increasingly being matched overseas. In May 2004 the Company made its US debut with a week-long season at New York’s leading theatre for dance, the Joyce Theater. The Company returned to the US in 2006,

About Richard Alston Richard Alston choreographed his first work in 1968, as one of the twelve students of the newly formed London Contemporary Dance School. On leaving in 1972, he formed the UK’s first independent dance group Strider. In 1975 Alston went to New York to study at the Merce Cunningham Dance Studio. On his return two years later he worked throughout the UK and Europe as an independent choreographer and teacher. In 1980 Alston became Resident Choreographer with Ballet Rambert and later was appointed Artistic Director, a position he held from 1986 to 1992. In his time there he created 25 dances for that company, and also was commissioned to create work for the Royal Danish Ballet (Kingdom of Pagodas 1982) and the Royal Ballet (Midsummer 1983). In 1992 Alston was invited to create a full evening of his own work, including Boulez’s Le Marteau Sans Maitre, for the March 2015

2007, 2009, 2010 and 2011, giving its third, critically acclaimed and sold-out New York season in January 2010. The Company continues to perform regularly in the US, including at New York City Center (as part of Fall For Dance Festival) in 2011 and 2013, Peak Performances at Montclair State University, New Jersey in 2012 and 2014 and the Virginia Arts Festival in spring 2014. Other foreign tours have included China, Holland, South East Asia, Greece and Russia where the Company represented Britain at Moscow’s first International Festival of Contemporary Dance. The Company performed as part of the Schrittmacher Festival in Aachen, Germany in 2012 and in both Aachen

Ballet Atlantique in France. He made another full evening for London Contemporary Dance Theatre at the 1994 Aldeburgh Festival going on to form his own company when he became Artistic Director of The Place in 1994. Richard Alston Dance Company started in the autumn of that year, and over the past 18 years Alston has made almost 40 dances for this company. Commissions from other companies have included Sheer Bravado for Ballet Theatre Munich (2006), Walk Through a Storm for Ballet Black (2008), and a version of Carmen for Scottish Ballet (2009). In 2011, he made A Rugged Flourish for New York Theatre Ballet and in 2012, Even Song for the Holland Dance Festival.

In January 2007, the Company was nominated for two South Bank Show awards. In October 2008, at Sadler’s Wells, the Company’s 60/40 season celebrated Alston’s 60th birthday and the 40th anniversary of his first piece of choreography. In 2011 Richard Alston Dance Company was nominated as Outstanding Company in the National Dance Awards, presented by the Critic’s Circle. Following its critically acclaimed performances for the Barbican Britten celebrations in autumn 2013,

Most recently, Alston’s Barbican Britten: Phaedra has received a 2014 National Dance Award nomination for best modern choreography. Music plays a vital part in the Company’s identity and since its inception Alston has used the work of a diverse range of composers including Brahms, Britten, Hoagy Carmichael, Heiner Goebbels, Scott Joplin, Astor Piazzolla, Steve Reich, Terry Riley, Schumann, Shostakovich and Stravinsky.

GENERAL The Government is URGING you to switch your Energy provider Dual-fuel customers of the big energy firms have missed big savings by not switching suppliers, early evidence from a competition inquiry suggests. The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has been investigating the energy market since last summer. It says that from 2012 to 2014, more than 95% of dual-fuel customers of the big firms would have saved money by switching tariffs or suppliers. The savings they missed ranged from £158 to £234 a year per customer. Richard Lloyd of consumers’ association Which? said the energy industry had failed its customers and the regulator would have to be much tougher. “Politicians and regulators have put too much faith in competition driving keener prices for

26 | March 2015

consumers - this simply hasn’t worked,” he said. The investigation by the CMA was formally launched last July in response to an earlier referral from the energy regulator Ofgem. Ofgem had been concerned because of widespread disquiet at the dominance of the industry by just six big operators. Currently the “big six” energy firms - SSE, Scottish Power, Centrica, Npower, E.On and EDF Energy - together account for about 92% of the UK’s energy supply market. Consumer groups and politicians have frequently accused the firms of using their

position to raise customers’ prices swiftly when wholesale energy prices go up, but being slow to cut them when their costs have come down. Poor customer service by the big six firms is highlighted by the CMA. It says the number of complaints recorded against them rose fivefold between 2007 to 2013. These were mainly about problems concerning billing, customer service and payments. If you are looking for an alternative supplier, you might like to consider Utility Warehouse – The Discount Club. Utility Warehouse Guarantee savings on your household bills via their unique Price Promise: They guarantee you’ll save money when you switch all your services to them, or they’ll give you back ‘Double the Difference’. The Utility Warehouse provide over 600,000 customers throughout the UK with substantial savings on a wide range of utility services including

landline phone, mobiles, broadband, gas and electricity. You may not have heard of the Utility Warehouse before; that’s because they don’t spend money on expensive advertising like other companies. This saves them millions of pounds a year — savings they pass on to you! They rely completely on recommendation from happy customers and a network of Distributors to spread the word about the great savings they offer compared to their competitors. Even if you haven’t heard of them before, you can be completely confident in their services. They are a Which? Recommended Provider and scored five out of five for customer service. HOMES & GARDENS Windows are such an important facet of your home They give your property character and individuality, and also offer the practicalities of insulation and security Because of their very nature, the windows and doors on your house or bungalow are a significant investment and cost. Problems, however, can occur – hinges and locks may break or stick, handles work loose, there may be draughts around the house and windows may become “blown” or steamed up. But rest assured, these issues do not have to prove as expensive to remedy as you may think - and repair is usually the best and most cost-effective course of action, rather than replacement. Steve Olley, who has 20 years’ experience of repairing doubleglazed and sealed-unit windows, knows that an effective repair can give windows a whole new lease of life. “A lot of people think that when the glass has blown when you cannot see through a window properly - or that there is condensation on a window or that double-glazed units become steamed up, that they need a whole new window,” explained Steve, who runs S & C Window Repairs with his wife Clare. “But repairs are relatively straightforward and not expensive. The glass can come out of the frames and be replaced, so there is simply no need to go to the expense of having a whole new window and frame.” S & C Windows provides a service to repair windows, doors and conservatories and that includes misted or broken sealed units, UPVC window and door repairs, conservatory repairs, patio door repairs, worn out window hinges, broken window handles and locks, and draughty includes clear, patterned, www.DispatchMagazine.co.uk

toughened, leaded and Georgian bar windows. New locks and handles, bathroom and kitchen windows, hinges, patio doors and cracked panes can all be easily and effectively dealt with. It’s not only with repairs, the same applies for upgrades as well such as to A-rated windows with the highest grade glass. Covering the whole of Norfolk from bases in Norwich and near Holt, S & C Windows, can upgrade standard windows to A-rated windows, without removing the frames and merely by changing the quality of the glass. Steve said: “We can do upgrades with the highest quality glass without changing the frames.” In the 1970s and 1980s people often selected golden handles for their windows, commented Steve, but they can also be changed quite easily to give the windows an upgrade and a modern new appearance. “I am cheaper than other operators and can offer costeffective solutions with a quick response.” he added. Customers ring through to Steve’s main contact number where a call operator will take brief details and instantly send them on to Steve via text. “I’ll then telephone the customer to make an appointment, make a visit to assess what they need and if they are happy with the quote place an order for what is needed and then arrange a convenient time to install.” he said.
