Pinhole Camera resluts

Page 1

Picture taken in moving vehicle to try and capture feeling of motion.

Accidental double exposure, really good effect though.

I wanted to capture the ominous sky, Clouds are in constant motion even when they appear still and travel hundreds of miles in their short lifespan, I felt this was very relevant to the time and motion brief.

Another attempt at capturing the feeling of motion.

I wanted to capture the general public on a busy week day and the hustle and busle of a town centre as people in constant motion adhering to their busy lifestyles that are dominated by schedules and the time in which they are ruled by.

The thought behind this picture was mainly light, I was attempting to capture just the window and had hoped the rest would be under exposed, as light is the fastest variant of speed I felt it is one extreme of motion and a kind of irony as it appears motionless. The picture did not come out as I had hoped but their is a cool red flared effect in the bottom right hand corner.

Again light being the main inspiration for this one, just an experiment really to see how a pinhole picture would look if it was just of a light source. The picture came out really well, a little too well unfortunately as I feel it lacks the character of some of the other pics.

For this picture I took a screen shot from 2001 a Space Odyssey, It was more of a comment about the amount of time people spend motionless in front of their TV’s watching and absorbing constantly moving imagery, I think it is an interesting juxtoposition.

Just an experiment to try and catch a sun glint from behind the tree.

I was hoping to get a good silhouette of the crane’s, their main purpose the movement of objects yet they remain stationary whilst they are doing so.

This was based on signs that convey motion by simple characters.

Another double exposure, just experimentation. A good result I think good balance of both pictures.

I was hoping to capture the bench, this being an object that signifies stoping and resting illustrating a period where we stop.

Underdeveloped version on and earlier picture illustrating the motion of a busy town centre.

A picture of a clock, gear operated clock’s are an interesting illustration of how constant motion can be used to power a tool for keeping track of time, an example of the fact time an motion have a relationship.

Just a practical test to see the kind of range on the pinhole camera, obviously not that far as the castle is extremely hard to see.
