Que mejor ciudad que Sitges para acoger este magnífico restaurante, dividido en tres zonas y un glamoroso lounge lleno de exotismo, calidez y buen gusto. La marca de la casa del establecimiento es la Cocina Real Tailandesa, que supone el estrato más alto de la tradición gastronómica del país. Y es que pocos chefs se dedican específicamente a este arte, que siete siglos después, sigue en liza debido a la fidelidad del máximo artífice del Sitthai, Ramon Rodríguez.
Probablemente, estamos ante el restaurante más reputado de Sitges. Tiene todo lo que debe tener para fascinar a nuevos comensales y seguir satisfaciendo a los más fieles: un buen entorno, una buena cocina y un servicio excelente. Su encantador jardín y el patio de atmósfera totalmente mediterránea son ya una primera invitación a dejarse llevar por los sentidos. Obviamente, no faltan una cuidada y extensa bodega y una carta basada en los productos más característicos de la estación del año.
El restaurante Fragata, inaugurado en 1965 y remodelado con exquisito gusto hace ahora 4 años, se ha situado como un referente en la ciudad. Su privilegiada situación frente al mar, al pie del Baluarte que corona la Iglesia de Sant Bartomeu i Santa Tecla, ofrece a sus comensales la posibilidad de degustar una cocina de raíces mediterráneas en un entorno incomparable. Además, el restaurante pone a su disposición más de 300 referencias de vinos.

Como no podía ser de otra manera, es algo que también ocurre en Iris, su restaurante. Es capaz de portar la bandera de la Haute Cuisine mezclando creatividad y tradición mediterránea. ¡Una gozada para los sentidos!
Mezzanine es un restaurante acogedor y de corte moderno. La buena mano de su chef, de origen francés, es uno de sus principales baluartes. Ello asegura una excelente elaboración en cada uno de los platos de la carta, de la cual destaca su fabuloso atún o el irresistible chocolate que baña parte de su repostería.

You’ve gone from offering Coke and panchitos to rubbing elbows with Ricard Urgell (the founder of Pacha). How did that happen? Friends of Marisa, his first wife, have compared me to Ricard Urgell. Although they didn’t know this, ever since I found out who Ricardo is he’s been my idol. He’s still working at the age of 72!

¿Qué es lo que más le ha costado conseguir? Me he peleado durante seis años para que me dejaran poner música en la playa. Cuando hablo de contratar dj’s enseguida la gente piensa que se trata de una discoteca en la playa. Y mi intención no es esa. Mi intención en poner música relajante, pinchada por dj’s profesionales, con calidad de sonido…para que la persona que está tomando el sol sea capaz de hacer una fusión musical con el sonido de las olas del mar. What’s been the hardest thing for you to achieve? I had to struggle for six years so they would let me put music on the beach. When I talk about hiring DJs people immediately think that it’s a disco on the beach. And that’s not my intention. My intention is to play relaxing music spun by professional DJs, with good sound quality... so that the person who’s lying in the sun can meld the music with the waves of the sea.

Festival Internacional del Cinema de Sitges · Sitges Film El certamen nació en el 1968, con todo el espíritu revolucionario que pudo poner en juego, siendo el primer festival de cine fantástico del mundo y convirtiéndose con el tiempo en una de las manifestaciones culturales más prestigiosas de la comunidad. Tiempo suficiente para que desfilaran por la alfombra roja directores e intérpretes de la talla de Quentin Tarantino, Sir Anthony Hopkins, Jodie Foster, Ralph Fiennes, Cameron Díaz, Guillermo del Toro, Álex de la Iglesia, Elsa Pataky… y un largo etcétera de personalidades que año tras año conforman el escaparate perfecto para los medios de comunicación especializados.
