In 2008, Reece experienced a five month battle with MRSA-Pneumonia. During this time he crossed from this life to the next. After a time, he was revived and returned to this life with a message of love, hope, peace and inclusion. He was so moved, he renounced his state sanctioned practice route and embraced ordination to work as a Professional Pastoral Counselor.
